                    the Premise.

                    So here's how it is.

Gaia was a sprawling metropolis for the community, eventually dividing into her great cities of Barton, Gambino, Durem, and Aekea. While likes spread to likes all over the place, each haven gained an identity and affinity: Barton for the hardworking, talented. Gambino for the rich and extravagant. Durem for the cool and the new. Aekea for the tech and the innovation. And while these great cities grew, they eventually spread so far that all of these diverse communities eventually ended at one point. This point happens to be тнє ƒσυя cσℓσя cαƒє, a comic book shop/breakfast in bed deal. I know it may sound a little bit outlandish, but we couldn't really decide on what to build, so we decided to throw caution to the wind and build them all!

A clear tone sounds throughout the café as the heavy oaken door knocks around the tiny welcome bell, tinkling its greetings as you walk into the homey fire lit room. The logs from the fireplace crackle cheerily in response as you take in your surroundings. To your left is a large wooden café area, almost like an Irish pub, with a heavy lacquered bar housing gleaming brass coffee machines and mugs of various shapes and sizes. On your right is a slightly smaller area, full of bookshelves with all the books and comics you can imagine, bean bags, couches, a fireplace, and a counter with a computer. The walls are decorated with framed books, comics, instruments, and even bizarre contraptions. In front of you is a large staircase leading up into darkness, the top grabbing your attention in a way that would shout for you to explore! As you take another step forwards, a small cough catches your ear behind you as the wooden door closes, revealing a tall, thin man with a friendly smile and eyes that match the dancing sparks in the fireplace.

Hello. I am Moo, owner & proprietor of тнє ƒσυя cσℓσя cαƒє, est. 2012. Wherever you come from, we got something of that here. Whether it is comics or anime, a good cup of coffee and delicious home cooked food, a stable internet connection, or just a warm bed and a roof over your head, we got it. Don't got much else, but we get by. So stop on in, grab a comic and a cup of joe, whip out your laptop, or even check into our very modest rooms, and enjoy your stay!

                    . A Glass Passenger
                    Thread creator and RP god.

                    . Robayn
Thread moderator, Annual Ball host, and second in command.

                    . Ink_May

                    . Mademoiselle Alvinette
                    The best roleplayer out there!

                    Rules.

. Follow the Gaia ToS and R&G.

. Please be respectful of guests. If you are found to be trolling or harassing anyone, you will be reported and black listed.

. Remember not to godmod. This means that you may only control your own character, no exceptions.

. Listen the the staff. If they tell you that you need to do something, please listen to them. It is our job to make sure everyone has fun here, and we pledged to try our best to do just that.

. Do not impersonate the staff. This means do not copycat, as it is fairly uncool.

. Do NOT give your password to anyone! Neither the Gaia staff nor the Annual Ball staff will ever ask for your password or account information.

. Beware of phishers. We have had problems with pop-ups that ask for your username and password in the past. If you see this happen, report it right away, and do NOT enter your account information!

. Keep it PG-13 or less. I know that it can be tempting in many cases to get carried away, but please try to keep the sex talk/cursing under control.

. Lastly, just have a good time. This is just a preview of what is to come.

                    Guidelines

. Please do not quote the first page. This creates large walls of text that are difficult for some users to load.

. For the same reason, please avoid quote towers. One - two quotes are fine, but do not quote more than that.

. Remember to quote someone you are replying to specifically!

. Try to create characters that are here to interact. It's okay to be shy, but remember that this is simply a challenge for the roleplayer, not an excuse not to roleplay.

. Do your best to keep posts grammatically correct and avoid l33t sp31k.

. Also do your best to roleplay in first, second, or third person, not by using asteriks to post actions. Also surround speech with quotations marks.

TFC Cafe RP F.A.Q. me!

Q) What is this place?
A) The Four Colours Cafe is a RP hangout thread meant to be casual, but entertaining, by providing something for anyone: coffee, food, a good book and manga, discussion on the latest movies and comics, and even a place to stay if you want to come back.

Q) What is a Casual RP?
A) Casual RP means that you can come and go as you please, no committing to posting a certain amount of time a week and no character profiles required. Come as you are or come as you wish to be any day, any time.

Q) Are there contests or giveaways in this thread?
A) Sometimes, but not often. As one of many Annual Ball threads we do wish to always provide people with a reason to come back so there will be contests and prizes for our special events, but on a day to day basis your reward for hanging out with us is our company.

Q) What are these events you speak of?
A) One in awhile, usually for holidays, this thread will host an event. It will be a short, but exciting, twist of plot for everyone to enjoy. These plots will be open to everyone, guests and staff alike, and will have no restrictions on who may participate. The only restriction is that you must reconcile your appearances and disappearances with the plot so that no one is left hanging when you leave and your sudden appearance in the thread is not disrupting a plot. This is only fair.

Q) What are the rooms? Are they available to anyone?
A) As it is right now, rooms are available to staff and guests. Rooms are granted to thread moderators and to guests who have earned their room.
Earning a room is based on activity and participation with plot. Anyone can have a room, and by inquiring you have already expressed your interest in having one, but they are for people who are having a good time and wish to come back. Rooms aren't collectibles; if you get a room then please come back and spend more time with us.

Q) When can I join?
A) Any time at all! Post, now, and you're in. You can post any introduction you want: a long one, a short one, a colourful one or a plain one, and that's all. You don't need a back story or an opening. Everyone is welcome any time at all.

Q) Anything else I should know?
A) Ask and you shall recieve!

                    Character Name Moo
                    Occupation Owner and proprietor
Personality Moo is very mysterious. It is also rumored that he only drinks his own brew of coffee, which may or may not contain alcohol. And he is always drinking coffee. Moo tends to be very relaxed, unless something goes wrong in his shop. But whenever an emergency arises, he always, somehow, has intimate knowledge on how to handle it. He also always has the faint smell of salt around him, and seems to disappear for months at a time. It is also rumored that Moo is the greatest computer hacker in the world.

                    Character Name Julie (Lee) James
                    Occupation General Manager
Personality All things Geek, Julie's passion is superheroes. Dressing up randomly is part of her charm as she has no shame. It's very hard to embarrass a person with no shame. Luckily, she does have a good head on her shoulder with plenty of common sense so that she is not embarrassing Moo with any extraordinarily strange antics... at least when there aren't kids in the house, of course. Julie can be as childish as the children she sometimes reads for in the reading corner, or more so, and loves games -- watch out, though! Julie's competitive streak can sometimes turn her into a bit of a monster.
The addition of the comics section was largely her idea and, as such, she spends all of her time reading comics, stocking comics, looking more comics up online, asking customers for reviews of comics, or talking to anyone and everyone she possibly can about comics. There are some topics to shy away from around Julie, but those are few and far between (since no one wants to talk about sparkly vampires or 50 shades of whatever, anyways!) If you want a comic or want to know if it's in stock then Julie is the person to talk to. She might even be convinced to talk Moo into costume contests from time to time!
Julie can be found doing whatever it is the Cafe/Comic shop needs doing: to serving customers, sweeping floors, putting up decorations, or even taking the garbage our and busing tables. She likes to keep busy and since she lives just upstairs it's no hassle for her to come down to work nearly every day.

                    Character Name Nora Sylph
                    Occupation Kitchen Manager / Writer
Personality Inquisitive, curious and full of energy, Nora sits in the far corner of the cafe and watches the customers and gather materials for her new fantasy book all while she writes small poems just for fun. The bakers sometimes become mad at her for bringing her own cookies but she is the manager so they permit her to do so and if someone gives her coffee or anything with caffeine in she drinks it and then falls asleep. (Caffeine makes her sleepy)
Because of her caffeine problem she prefers to drink red tea and the pepper strawberry blend is her favorite and her favorite cakes is lemon cakes with a extra lemony taste.
She worries about the employes and the economy of the cafe, but everything seems to work fine, but the comic book part of the shop is going a bit low with its income so she is really prepared for making a promotional event to increase revenue.
A warning to all never ask her to sing the resulting chaos is massive.

                    Occupation Part-time Baker
Personality Bobbi is hard working, honest, and independant. She will be either, blunt, or gentle when the situation calls for it. She is not afraid to stand her ground, and is the one who deals with customers should they start getting physical, which is rarely.
What's a cafe without a baker? Especially when that cafe is a comic-book cafe. Bobbi is talented in the kitchen when it comes to making sweets, and decorating them. She's a student at a Culinary school working to become a professional baker in hopes to open her own confectionary store, and the cafe gives her plenty of practice. Bobbi is also a fan of comic books, and the comic books give her inspiration for decorating her cookies, cakes, etc.

                    Occupation College Student/Tech
Personality Affable, and nice, he holds a sense of ease and calm. He loves to study in places with a lot of people, as too much quiet annoys him. He is a college student, getting his Bachelor's degree. His favorite drink is a simple, black coffee, and his fav. color is purple. Hex loves to bounce ideas off of others, and enjoys a nice, conversation with a group of people. Besides school, his favorite subjects are anime/manga, chemistry, and history. He also enjoys a good talk about action movies and romance.
He frequents the cafe to study, because of the large number of people, and the fact that the coffee and breakfast is great! The conversations and the different types of people are a bonus.

                    Character Name Molly May
Occupation Student, Regular, Apprentice to Nora
Personality Although she seems a bit snappy in public and at school, at the cafe' its a bit of a different story. Feeling a bit out of her element she's likely to make a fool of herself. Molly also has an odd tendency to think that some people in costume are the actual chararcter and treats them as such. She has a weakness for costumes and iced mochas....
After a grueling day of highschool drama and cheerleader tryouts what better way to kick back and relax than at a cafe'? Molly is a secret big time manga nerd but keeps up appearances at school for popularity sake. Molly helps to design costumes and props for the cafe' as well. She sometimes even likes to sit and sketch out new costume designs in class! But of course this has to be done on the sly. So she shows up to the cafe' in costume, and has occasionally been mistaken as a waitress. Not that she wouldn't play along if that was the case..

Personality Lily is a very nice girl who loves to sing. If she doesn't know a person well, she tends to be a little rude and acts like she is better than everyone but the reason why... well, no one really knows. Everyone says it's because she doesn't want to be bullied again and has to act tough so nobody will hurt her. She loves visiting the cafe because it's a good place to study. Her mother used to take her all the time and it's been hinted before that the cafe is where Lily's parents met for the first time. Top thing on her wishlist: A boyfriend.

                    Character Name Natalie Pierce
Occupation (She is actually a secret agent. She works for a very small local arm of a super-secret government agency. Her specialty is cryptography and cryptanalysis, but if they're shorthanded or if her bosses think she can play a part well, she occasionally gets sent on field assignments.)
Personality Natalie is probably not the kind of person you would expect to be a spy. Her appearance and personality all point to someone who LOVES being the center of attention. Her fashion sense combines retro/old-fashioned elements with a few modern punk and goth touches. She is a huge espionage/film-noir nerd and can talk your ear off about old spy movies, novels, and real-life historical spy cases. She also collects comic books from the World War II era. She sometimes talks like a character from one of the old movies she's always watching. She's very feminine and can't stand it when guys treat her like "one of the boys" just because she happens to have some of the same interests they do.
Despite her attention-loving ways, though, Natalie is very intelligent and observant, and she's fantastic at keeping secrets. She comes to the cafe to relax during her down time, but every spy knows that cafes are great places to peoplewatch and learn all sorts of things...

Occupation Rich Idiot with No Day Job
Personality Ever since he moved into the cafe, it became increasingly obvious that the vampire is in fact not actually from Gaia. It's not just the room that is in fact series of rooms yet takes up no more space than anyone else's room, while thinking that this is perfectly normal. There's also the servants he hired with no regards to the cafe's staff and archaic sensibilities. He often shows no understanding of common place things.

Rooms are gotten by being active, participating in plot, and being a friendly, kind, person. Helping out in the thread by playing a part in plot, answering questions, and helping the moderators when they need help will also earn you a room. Rooms are a place for you to have your character stay, sleep, and even hangout with others. Having a room means you always have a place at the Four Colours Cafe!

Rooms are not gotten through threats, bribes, or guilt trips. They are earned through good behaviour, not negative behaviour. Please do not harass staff in the thread for a room. You may ask who to get one, state that you would like one, but demanding one will not get you one.

The Annual Ball is one of the longest running user-run events on Gaia. As a user-run event, it is put together piece by piece by users just like you - yes, you, the one reading this right now! Whether as an artist, providing art for rooms either through graphics or character art; or as a writer, planning the plot of each event and the ball itself; or simply as a friendly, helpful member, assisting anywhere and everywhere, each participant of the ball is a valuable part of the collaboration of the community spirit in Gaia.
Once a year we come together to celebrate what makes Gaia Online one of the best online communities on the internet by proving its sense of community among the users. A subforum is set aside for us by the Gaia admins each year, and oofficial ball threads that are the culmination of a year's worth of hard work and planning are stickied by moderators. Once the subforum is ready, we invite all of you to party and roleplay with us!
It is a Role-play event, but everyone is welcome even if you don't enjoy role-playing. You can hang out and chat with us, discuss your favorite animes, music, or books, or enjoy the entertainment. There are also numerous games and contests in each room to be played all weekend long! For three days the Annual Ball invites all of Gaia to celebrate, well, Gaia!
Why the Annual Ball is important:
This is a message from one of the Ball's previous hosts!
Pritchard
"What about the Gaian Annual Ball is so important?
Gaia Online is a Community Run Site. Yes, the administration may make all the big site decisions, but they do so as users and as people who are interested in our community. Imagine, if Gaia Online wasn't created by the original administration, do you think they'd be users of the site right now if someone else created it? I think so, but then again, who could have done it better than they did? I think a better question is if they could have done it without us!
As the site began to sprout, the community came together for one event. The Annual Ball. Completely user-run. It wasn't planned by the administration nor known to users the wonderful event that was to come. This is the essence of the Gaian Community. Whether it be a single thread, or a single piece of art, it comes from the user. Gaia Online may have grown tremendously over the years it's been online, but I think a large part of its tradition remains the same, even as a larger amount of the original users and the original community begin to fade (not necessarily a bad thing, as this is a result of change). Users continue to work hard towards making the site better, and most of the input comes from us. How often are events run by administration anyways? They wouldn't be worth announcing if they were all so common now would they!
The Annual Ball's goal is not to be elitist or talk about how long you've been on Gaia. I think people who use it just for this are truly mistaken, and have lost their Gaian Spirit. Think about it, what did they talk about during the first Annual Ball? It couldn't possibly been about how long people have been on Gaia, but perhaps it could have been about how amazing it was to see such a tightly knitted community come together and work towards a single goal, even though Gaia had not even been around as long! The Gaian Annual Ball takes a lot of work and effort to set up. You have to worry about prizes, themes, getting advertisements across Gaia and other forms of support. Simply having your own forum or area to hang out isn't enough.
Besides being a place to hang out and talk to people on Gaia that you wouldn't normally have been able to talk to, I think the Annual Ball is proof that Gaia is still here. Gaia is still a site for the community. The day the Annual Ball fades away is the day that Gaia no longer has a community that cares and supports it, as the Annual Ball takes strong will and community togetherness to make happen.
Why stop with a forum, though? Why simply be happy about the fact that you were able to get a few people together and chat? Gaia Online has grown to epic proportions. We need to think about the future of our community. We need to take our new member groups and backgrounds into consideration. Gaia still has a lot of the role players and story tellers, but Gaia's audience has traveled abroad, and has come back with ships full of people from all over the world.
We need to begin thinking about the future of the Annual Ball, and we need to begin taking advantage of the new user base! From the new artists and musicians to hobbyist flash developers, our new community has a lot to offer. I think that because of this, the Annual Ball will only become stronger. This is why it's so important. It is *the* ultimate representation of the Gaian Community. Without it, we have nothing. Gaia Online would just be another internet site with a "community", but one that doesn't give a darn about each other.
We need to begin thinking of the future of Gaia. What do you see in Gaia's future? What is the ultimate form of Community Input? I think creation. Can you see the day when a new type of Annual Ball occurs, or a new type of user input comes flowing through the site, where users are actually creating areas of its content? We already do through forum posts and profiles, but what about flash and other areas of output that we can give? If it's going to happen, we need to show we're capable of it. We need to come together and work towards making the user run events the greatest of all.
Will you collaborate with the rest of Gaia and share your talents and abilities with it? You can make it a better place. You already do every day when you give feedback to the site. Let's take it a step further. Let's keep the Annual Ball going on forever, and continually growing in size and diversity. Live on."
Thanks for your Time,
Pritchard
-- 2007

And a not so short history of the ball - 11 years, whoo!
In 2003, Misao made the first ever Annual Ball. The admins were so impressed with what she'd done that they released the red rose corsage and black bow tie for her ball. Note that these were the first non-store items on Gaia ever!
In 2004, Misao refused to make the next annual ball convinced that the greed on Gaia was far too much to yield it. In light of that challenge, Setzer appeared. He made a topic in QnF calling for people to help out and make the 2nd Annual Ball. This year, instead of one host there were many each with their own distinct rooms. It gained so much popularity amongst the users that Setzer decided to ask for our own forum to party in. As some of you know, the answer was yes. This was the first time Gaia had ever opened a Forum up for a user run event. Really this ball is extraordinary. Not only that, but again the admins seemed to be impressed and decided to release the G-pins (much to everyone's surprise since we (the hosts) didn't think there would be ANY items involved.
In 2005, it was that time again. Setzer passed the torch onto Razumi Yazura to host the 3rd Annual Ball since Setz thought that it would be best to change the main hosts every year (a very wise decision). That year we developed a theme which was planetary. All the rooms were based off of planets, but they each had their own underlying themes. Again the ball gained popularity and of course we asked for a forum. But this time we were getting the mansion! This of course was the first and last time the mansion was going to be opened for a User event. No items this year, but it was still a HUGE success!
In 2006, the fourth annual ball was hosted in a guild , due to unforseen complications, and the fact that the admins didn't want to open up the mansion for the ball. The slim staff of 16 worked day and night a mear two months before the official date of the ball, to keep this seemfully dying tradition alive. No official host was named this year, and command was shared between all those who were involved. Needless to say it was a quiet year that year, but it was the first ball that had a plot totally made by the users! Quiet, but still a success and fun!
In 2007, Leyna hosted this year's ball and the moderators allowed the ball the have it's own forum for the 5th Annual Ball for the public to join in on the fun. The Ball's theme this year was Elements and it was quite exciting being able to make it public once more to a new generation of Gaians. It was a huge success and helped to open up the Ball to more people to help.
In 2008, with the Ball so successful as the year before everyone wanted to make this year's the biggest and best of them all. This year's host was chosen to be Freaksrus! Again for the 2nd time in a row the Ball was able to successfully gain a forum for the6th Annual Ball. The ball was able to gain new ideas with the publicity of the last year and the ball's theme was chosen to be Time Periods after a quick change. Despite being a previous theme chosen for the 2nd Annual Ball all that participated had a ton of fun especially with a fun twist on the plot and the Ball's first time have it drawn out Manga style!
2009 was a library filled with magical books, each room being one fairy tale or another. As one of the largest balls in the history of the Annual Ball, there were eight role-playing room and a newsroom! A fun fact about the newsroom: this was back when the Annual Ball still had permission to use actually Gaiaonline NPCs and settings, hence the Gaia Action News reporting on all the action in each of the rooms.
In 2010 the Ball was, once again, a huge success. It was perhaps the biggest success that the Annual Ball had reached up to date. With its theme of Mt. Olympus and the greek gods, it was a heavenly delight for everyone involved. This ball was a more educational ball as each of the hosts did their research and played an authentic figure from Greek Mythology. Everyone had a blast at this ball, setting a new standard to achieve for all the balls to come.
2011 featured a new theme: the 7 Deadly Sins. Princess Angelishia hosted as the princess of the pride palace, and each of the seven rooms featured a combination of sins and their opposites. It was a lot of rooms, but it was successfully pulled off thanks to all the hard work from everyone involved. It was concluded by a large after-party in towns for all the guests, hosts, and co-hosts to go nuts (and they pretty much did!)
2012 was our last ball, presenting a story about dreams. With Broken_Bleeding_Angel as the main host, playing the Dream King, and LilChibiUsa as her CO and the Dream Queen, all the rooms were tied together with one plot about the failing worlds of dreams. Each room's plot resolution was one more step towards saving all of the worlds from being lost. This was the 10th Annual Ball and a milestone for the URAB.
2013 -- this year has yet to be written, but with everyone's help it will be everything that the past years have been and more!

                    Annual Ball F.A.Q. me!

                    Q) What is the Annual Ball?
                    A) The Annual Ball is one of the largest user run events on Gaia Online. This tradition dates back to March 2003 when a user by the name of Misao decided to host a Ball for his fellow Gaians. The 1st Annual Ball was the first user run event on Gaia and received a great deal of support from the site administration. Since its conception, the Annual Ball has grown into a much larger celebration with more diversified themes each and every year. The Annual Ball has experienced many changes throughout the years, but the one thing that remains the same is the great friendly atmosphere that Gaians have come to love. The Annual Ball is considered a place where Gaians can come together to meet up with old friends and make new ones. This commemoration is deeply rooted in roleplay elements, but for many the Annual Ball is considered a wonderful excuse to hang out and share fond Gaia memories, build new friendships, and be a part of their own little community.
                    Q) How does it work?
                    A) This is a 3 day roleplaying event. There is usually a main host that oversees and coordinates the entire ball and then there are several rooms that fit under the main theme of the entire ball. Each of these rooms have their own co-hosts that run their respective rooms with their own mini themes. All main rooms will have their own thread in the ball's forum, but users are free to make their own threads in the forum, as well. These will not be official, though; the ball's official rooms will be stickied for convenience. Guests are encouraged to hang out in these rooms, but will not be limited to them.
                    Q) Do I have to make a character for this?
                    A) You don't have to create a character specifically just for this event; you can play as yourself or as a character you've created. Dressing up is also not mandatory, but it sure is a lot of fun if you decide to deck your avatar out for the appropriate theme!
                    Q) Is this an official event?
                    A) This isn't an official event from Gaia as it is user-run. We are merely supported by the admins (ie. the forums). There is, however, and annual event ran by the admins, celebrating the birthday of Gaia.

Moo wearily collapsed into a bar stool, the sturdy wood chair thunking onto the deck as he leaned heavily on the mahogany bar and pull out his flask, a simple, stainless steel container. Overturning it over his coffee, he mixed the two liquids until the mug was a deep, dark brown, and drank from it, savoring the taste. He had just finished setting up the store and flipped the tacky sign on the front door to the open position. Moo sat there, waiting for his staff to show up, and maybe, just maybe, some customers.

Lumina Danglars
The New Girl In Town/Server

The tune of a cell phone alarm clock caused Lumina to bolt upright before looking over at her phone on the nightstand beside her bed. With a sigh she reached over and turned the alarm off. "Too early..no more staying up all night for me." The girl grumbled to herself as she got out of bed and grabbed some clothes from her bureau before heading into the bathroom for a shower.

After a quick hot shower and a towel off Mina quickly dressed for work leaving her hair up in a headtowel as she brushed her teeth then applied a touch of mascara and lipgloss to her eyes and lips. Untieing her hairtowel she ran a brush through it hastily with one hand and blowdried with her other hand. Checking the time on the clock on the wall in the other room Lumina gave a yipe of surprise as time had seemed to go faster than usual. She put away the brush and hairdryer and grabbed her apron off the hook hanging by her door. With a thud she opened the door a little too forcefully and closed it behind her making sure to lock it. Her heels echoed down the near silent hall as she briskly made her way to the staircase and headed down as she tied her apron around her waist. When she got to the landing Mina found the owner Moo sitting at the bar with his usual mystery coffee drink. "Oh! Good morning Moo. Is there anything I can get you sir?" She spoke quickly as she made her way behind the food counter and began to prepare the dishes, plates, cups, mugs, and silverware for the day.

Hearing the footsteps approaching down the hall, Moo stretched quietly, letting out a small yawn, and returned to his coffee. Without turning, he sipped at his drink again. "Good morning, Lumina. Just Moo, thanks." He said, lazily turning his head to look at her. "I'm good." He finished, swirling a toothpick in his mug.

Merri, Merri, quite c o n t r a r y !
How does your g a r d e n grow?

Merri didn't typically have a morning routine he followed. He took his showers before he went to bed, and therefore always woke up with horribly messed-up hair. Since he was already a little late, he just shoved a hat on his head and tugged on an ill-fitting sweater before fumbling around for his glasses and skittering downstairs. The brunette barely made it down without falling, the last few stairs groaning under his weight and barely-there control of balance.
"Good Morning!" He greeted, slightly louder than he usually spoke. "Mina, Mr. Moo! Good morning. Sorry I'm late, I didn't mean to." He paused quickly and started to shuffle away. "I must go." Merri turned and skittered awkwardly over to the book nook, where he set about inspecting and making sure everything was in order. After he had cured himself of his initial awkwardness for the moment, he turned and hurried back over to the owner and the waitress. "Sorry about that, I just wanted to make sure everything was ready before I had breakfast. Miss Mina, is the tea pot ready?" He didn't like to have the girls wait on him too often. It didn't help that he was undecided as to what he wanted for breakfast...
