It was half past twilight and his hair started to turn a bluish gray as he stood in the doorway for a bit and catching a glimpse of the cooling sky. It was his favorite time of day, then Takahashi cut on sat down behind the bar and opened his notes and penned comments on some of the notes and then he said, "So how was your day today?".

Mika sipped at her hot chocolate, each sip only seemed to be better then the last. She watched chester as he scurried to and fro across the floor every once in a while pouncing somel little critter. When taka returned, she watche hin write in his book, not actually reading, but admiring the penmenship.
"My day?" she said, pausing to take another sip. "It was less then pleasant." she replied leaving out the specifics. She was glad it was over, and not willing to relive it. "The evening though seems to be going quite well though, not a bad consolation." she said in an uplifting tone.

Takahashi nodded and said, "Of course, the night is always a bit more calmer than the daytime". As he was noting a few things in his notebook, still, he asked, "So how is your family taking the loss well?". He was wondering who was going to be the next lead of their clan. In the meeting a short conversation came up about their relationship to the clan and at the moment their family had put everything on suspension.

She had to agree about the nights being calmer then the days, there was just something scerin. She looked up at his next question, "The clan is in morning and extreamly sympathetic. "There was a big memorial for them before the induction ceremony. It was really nice." she said, absently she traced along where her scar used to be at the thought of both her father, and the ceremony, it felt strange not feeling the slightly differenciated skin. " I think everyone is taking it well."

Takahahshi nodded and still looking at the book. Then he shut it and put it back inside his jacket and said, "well that's good to hear". Then he became very serious and looked at her with piercing eyes and asked, "Did you get a name today?".

She nodded. "Yes, Aurther C. McCroy." she said solemly. Keith had informed her of what little information they knew about the man. He had been assigned the task of killing her father by he new father in law, as proof of his acceptance into a rank so much higher then his was. The McCroy clan and the lietos did not get along, there was a deep grudge between the two, though there had been an unspoken agreement of temorary peace during the particular season, until Aurther's attack. The picture she had been shown of him, was his wedding one, the guilt of her actions built. She pulled out the thin folder of his information, and slid it across the counter to him.

Takahashi opened it and then brought out his notebook and went over the information in the packet. He shook his head and said, "McCroy......it doesn't ring a bell. He then gathered the file and then said, "Okay, I'll be back then.....". Then he stood up and gathered the folder and headed to the door but paused for a second and said, "You know, you handled this situation....really efficiently.......Maybe in some point in time, you should think about heading your family. Your skills could be a real asset". Then he left and walked to the pub from before.

"The Irony." she muttered after he left. She leaned against the counter, she was a little surprised, there were a lot of things he hadn't picked up on, as of late. How ever she brushed it aside, know in what his family was in preperation for, it shouldn't surprise her that his mind was occupied. She took out the dagger, twirling it between her fingers, the blade gleamed slightly as it reflected the fire. Her name was now written in elegant loops at the bottum of the balde. She returned it to it's sheath, with a sigh, and wandered to behind the bar, resting her head on her arms facing the door, incase a customer showed up. How ever she began nodding off, eventually she fell asleep right there at the counter.

Takahashi sat down at a table in the pub discussing the plan of attack and the current outlook on the plan with Claude. Claude was drinking a little bit of sipping whiskey and Takahashi was drinking a bit of tea. Takahashi said, "just run this through intelligence, give me all the information available. Once I know that, I'll determine the scope of the operation.......I hope it was someone on a lone vendetta. I'd hate to destroy their outfit". Claude chuckled and said, "Takahashi, you know what I said about life". Takahashi sighed and finished his tea and said, "I can remember all too clearly". Claude nodded and said, "You know, instead of doing jobs with all of these inexperienced guys, I miss those days when you were activated.......we used to take care of things with ease". Takahashi shook his head and said, "It's behind me now.....". Claude continued and said, "Yea, I know. You constantly kept talking to me about duty, so I knew when the opportunity presented itself you weren't going to stay in termination". Takahashi nodded and said, "yea, I hated those days.....and now these days are just as bad, except this time all I do is sign the paper. You guys do the rest.....in other words, it's just as bad". Then the two of them stood up and Claude said, "That's just the way life is......luckily we have it easy". Takahashi nodded and said, "Yep, luckily". Then he went off back to the tavern.

Then he went back inside the tavern and said, "I'm guessing we'll have the whole thing sorted out by tommorow". The yellow film was starting to wear off but he guessed it was for the best though, he didn't want to get lazy. But he had to admit he felt great when he had it on. Then he sat back down and Chester leaped back into his lap and Takahashi sat and pet him until he fell asleep. Then he looked up to see that she was sleep. He smiled and then picked her up and laid her in a chair near the fire and then he noticed it........what happened to her mark? What brought upon the sudden change of heart? But he shrugged, it was none of his business, and he was sure she would tell him.....sooner or later.

Mika awoke the next morning, slightly confused. She couldn't remember moving from the counter to the chair. She stood, streched slightly, looking for chester, She found him curled up in Taka's lap. She walked over, petting him lightly on the head, "Little traitor, i'm the one who feeds you." she said playfully. all chester did for his part was flick his tail and give one of those smug looks felines did. She noticed that her casting on taka was looking paler then it should, which ment it was fading. That hadn't happened before, but then agains he had never placed on one a being who's very cells absorbed power, with out being commanded so. Catching the top of it she made three guestures, she decided to put he own flame into this time instead of that from the nearby fire, it would be a bit more durable that way. The film retreated into her palm she forced blue flames through her fingers into it, completely replacing the yellow bits which returned to the fire place. After that was done in seeped back over him.
She had to rest against one of the wooden pillers in the room, while the fire restored a some of her energy. She realized she would have to start training again to regain her stmina.
At that moment keith and dust appeared in the door way, she motioned for them to be quiet and to take a seat at the far corner of the bar. She poured them each and ale and joined them from behind the counter. "What's going on?" she asked quietly, keith was supposed to come to discuss the details of the funeral arrange ments and some other clan events with her, but if dust was here then there was some sort of problem, his interests wheren't in paperwork or events. Keith looked to dust, then back at her. "Last night during the festivities following your induction, we had a raid." He said. "What kind of raid?" she asked, normally raids were not uncommon nor anything to worry about, it was how these things went. Usually they were attempted by amatures trying to prove something. "Four vampires." he said. "We managed to kill two of them and we had a third one captive, but he wouldn't explain why they had attacked so we disposed of him. Sorry pete did it before we could stop him." Mika was a little irriated, she would have liked to speak to it, but it couldn't be helped
"What about the fourth? What were the damages?" she asked.
"The we lost two men, another three were injured. They were looking for some one, which is why they weren't noticed right away. I'm sure you know who they were after." he said. She nodded, she had informed keith right away, when jack had told her of the vampire following him from hell. Keith continued. "Well the fourth took off with elder Minos. Which is why I brought dust. We need the best tracker avilable, but you have to give the order." Mika sighed, she should have gone to the festivites after all, none of this would have happened. "Yes, right. Dust if you wouldn't mind could you start today?" she asked. Dust rose with a wicked grin, "Aye, we haven't had a vampire chase in a while, this will be fun." he announced, before bowing and returning to the street. "Dirty trick to take and elder has hostage." she said with a slight growl. "Nothing that can be done about it now." Keith said gruffly, he was about as fond of the elders as jira was. "Well Lets get these out of the way." she said, better to stay way from that topic for now. She and keith began whispering about the arrangements, guest list, the hall, the eulogy she would have to give.

A woman appearing in her mid-twenties tentatively opened the door to the tavern. She bore large eyes that seemed to have not quite grown out of their childhood size, bearing the color of fresh blood upon their irises. The wench peered around as she took a few cautious steps into the new inviroment, feeling rather skittish at the moment; it had been years since she had been outside her home tavern, or off of its grounds. It felt strange, coming into a new place like this, where no one knew her.

After watching the place for perhaps a moment or two, however, she could spot several similarities that made it somewhat less intimidating, more like home. The drow barmaid smoothed one black hand across her dark-colored pants as she steeled herself against the various arguments going on inside her mind and headed quietly for the bar without any other argument, taking up a stool perhaps three-quarters of the way down.

Katana smiled slightly to herself as she placed her hands in her lap, one fiddling with the end of her hair; the hair in question existed in the form of softly waving white locks that reached nearly to the woman's knees, done up in a french braid. A jade ring rested securely over the fastening, adding a queer sort of decoration to the white expanse. Her posture and manner was that of one who could easily entertain themselves, though enjoyed company rather than anything else. The manner of one who was easily approachable or perhaps an easy target, beings as there were no weapons visible on the woman's slight visage.

Mika looked up from her conversation with keith as a woman entered. "Yes, we should invite the Relia clan leaders, excuse me, for a moment." she said, moving down the bar to where the woman sat. "Sorry about that, Can I get you a drink miss?" She asked.

Love is merely an illusion that leaves you fallen to your knees in tears grasping at empty words.
Katana looked up almost as if pulled from within her thoughts as someone addressed her. "Oh, do not apologize." She paused for a moment as she contemplated, feeling slightly out-of-place as the question she so often asked others was directed at herself. "Would you happen to have green tea? Du-... my friend, has taken it to mind to have gotten me rather addicted to the liquid." She smiled a little nervously, almost sheepishly at asking for something. "No not feel the need to pull away from your other bussinesses on my account, love," the wench added, her smiled widening a little.

And I fall to the ground with my teardrops

And I get lost every time my heart stops

This love this hate is buning me away
