Leika sort of noticed how the other female wasn't talkative at all and so sort of slouched, thinking she was like Lucas for he didn't try to interact with her at all and yet seemed to chase tail of every other woman he came across. She slouched more onto the bar until her shoulders were almost level with the counter, her legs at 30 degree angles in parallel to the floor. Her tail dropped over one of her legs, the tip almost touching the floor.

Scriff however had his shoulder pressed against the wall and looked out over the lounge, hoping the awkward silence and weird moments would pass. He looked down at Leika and chuckled lightly at how cute she was sort of being...all lazy like and all.
A yawn threatened to pull at the lips of the dragoness, but she fought it off for now. It was a slow night, and she should be partially thankful for that. Yet it meant spending time with co-workers of whom she was not familiar, and as was displayed by the silence, it wasn't amusing. Kaoru's eyes slid to her right, observing the female's strange posture. She wasn't entirely sure what to make of it.

While silence was her favorite companion, between the few of them it was uncomfortable. "What is your relation to one-another?" She asked half-heartedly. The answer didn't really matter all that much, but she was curious. Anything to stir up some sort of conversation between strangers.

She shook off another yawn. It had been awhile since she'd allowed herself rest, and it now seemed to be catching up with her.

The two happened to look at each other then tilt their heads simultaneously and then Scriff let out a slight chuckle while Leika giggled a bit. "Us? We're like siblings...but not blood related..." Leika happened to reply and look at Kaoru and then nodded a bit. She didn't know what else to say at the moment, but Scriff looked at Leika with a smile and shrugged.

"When you spend too much time in a lab together not really able to do much but try to get out, romance isn't one of the first things to come up...well at least to me it didn't...and I never saw her in a way to spark that type of relationship..." Scriff decided to add for nearly no reason at all other than he wanted to.

Gaia continues to eat my posts. This is the second time I've had to re-type the same thing.

I think we should just continue this tomorrow.

Thank you. It's a very old picture. The first thing I did with my graphic tablet many years ago.

(( See, I wish I could do that... ))
OOC:

Don't be fooled. It's not easy.
(( *drops from blue* Do you have a dA? :{D ))
OOC:

I do, though there is very little on it, and only a couple of the pieces are decent.

Was it truly that odd of a question? The two seemed young both in appearance and spirit. Perhaps that was the reason she couldn't get a good handle for conversation with them. The lab bit was interesting, but only mildly, and it didn't foster enough curiosity for her to ask. She was sure it would come up in the future. "I see," she stated absently.

Kaoru rose her left hand from the table and cradled her lower jaw, resting in an almost bored-like fashion. Time had seemed to slow to a crawl for one reason or another, and she didn't fully understand why. Perhaps it was just just the slow part of the day. She couldn't be sure. It was then her stomach decided to make a distinct rumble. The sound startled her briefly. It wasn't normal for her system, and not related to hunger as it was in most creatures. This was a sign from her draconic side, and if it didn't subside soon, she would have to leave this place for a short while.
