"Really?" He was genuinely surprised. "That's nuts. In a good way, the hair I mean, is good, not the amnesia. Nonetheless, both are nuts."

"It depends on what you define 'magic' as. You could say I magic programmes to work. You could also say I manipulate them. You could say this room is psychologically manipulative. Unless-" He repositioned himself on the bed, so that his head rested on the pillow. "Can the 'magic' you speak of cure cancer?"
User Image

"Yep, never seen a box of hair dye in my life. Or been to a salon for that matter. Well, it depends when you're talking about the amnesia. What if I'm forgetting something that I don't want myself to know? It sounds a bit confusing that way though..."She laughed at his surprise, clapping her hands. It was always fun springing her past on people, not in a cruel or malicious way of course. Just as an interesting fact.

"No, I've trie-" She coughed, covering her mouth to stifle the rest of the sentence. "I mean like magical unicorns and elves magic, not here's a rabbit that came from a hat magic. You know what I mean?"

Clochette woke up with a start, rolling off the couch in Loren's room. "Ow." She managed to whisper out, using the couch to pull herself to her feet. She noticed Loren sleeping as well, and tiptoed out of the room carefully to avoid disturbing him. It was almost time to close up shop, and there was still quite the hustle and bustle in the Blue Bell as far as she could hear. Rushing around the counter, she saw that Grace had taken care of everything while she was gone. A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she sat down at an unoccupied table and began tallying all the things she had to do before going to sleep later that night.

There was cleaning the floors, sweeping, cleaning the kitchen, locking the doors... the list went on and on. The nap had made her groggy, so she once again got up and made herself a piping hot cup of coffee. She sipped it gingerly, then added a bit of cream to balance the bitterness out.

Although Dom was enjoying his conversation with Tris, minus the little hiccup with her thoughts, he hadn't failed to notice the day turning into evening. His first impulse was to excuse himself from Tris' company and be on his way, but he liked this place, he liked the people, or at least the two he had met, and besides he was tired, or so he told himself. So traveling was no longer an option. "Excuse me a moment mademoiselle, I must procure a room for the night, but I'll be right back." he said, winking at Tris and then rising to his feet.

He had seen Clochette come back into the room a bit ago, leave and then return with coffee. The aroma met his senses, making him relax slightly. It was an inviting scent, one that reminded him of quieter days, of home. "Pardon Clochette, may I inquire about a room for the night?" he asked, again speaking with a French accent, her name just had that affect on him. In fact he had to catch himself from actually speaking the language.

"Ah, oui. Quelle chambre, monsieur? Cinq est libre." Clochette took a sip of her coffee, wondering if her French would surprise him. She felt like speaking French after hearing so many accents today, so it was amusing. Growing up in France she had been very fond of the language, especially the way it flowed. It had just come naturally to her during her younger years there. It was interesting to her that Dom wanted to stay at all, but she supposed it was pretty late in the evening to be wandering around.

Dominic smiled "Salle cinq serait très bien, merci mademoiselle." he said. He wasn't surprised that she spoke the language, but a bit caught of guard perhaps. He hadn't exactly expected her to go off and start speaking, but it pleased him. "Non seulement vos cloches belle, mais vous parlez de si beaux française. Il est bon d'entendre la langue une fois de plus." he complimented.

He felt even more at home in this place, and although French wasn't exactly his first language, it was the one he had used the longest. It was the language of the country he had spent most of his time in. It was the place he had acquired his last name. To hear it again, after such a long time, was bliss.

"Bon! Et merci, bien sur, mon beau monsieur!" Clochette giggled, setting down her coffee. "Glad to see you speaking French. It fits you." Reaching into her apron pocket, she pulled out a set of keys, going through them until she found the key to room five. Dragging Dom by the sleeve, she pulled him through the back halls and up to the second floor after a rather mountainous staircase. She paused to catch her breath, before striding towards the door of room five. Twirling the key around her finger while whistling a tune, Claire de Lune to be exact, taking her time. "Glad you decided to stay with us for the night. Will you be needing anything? I'd be glad to bring it up here for you."

Dom grinned at her, admiring the way the silver bells in her hair contrasted against the blue color. "I'm glad to hear that, it is one of my favorite languages to speak and hearing it is like music." he said while she was busy searching for the key. And then he was suddenly being dragged across the room and up a rather large staircase then down a hallway to end at room five, to where they stopped and Clo began to whistle her little French song.

He leaned against the door, enjoying the melody as she fiddled with the key. At the mention of another name he had to think a moment. Grace? Grace, oh that must have been that girl who was going about the place tidying up. "Oh probably not, if I need anything I'll just fly out the window and get it, or maybe just work a little summoning spell. I think I have the necessary ingredients." he said, pulling a bag from seemingly thin air behind his back. In reality the bag was enchanted, to remain hidden unless in use. A handy little item. He opened it and pulled out a vial of a glowing gold liquid. "Yep plenty left." he chuckled.

"How enchanting." She laughed. "That must be handy. Also... you shouldn't let women drag you around like that. You might get into trouble. Though it seems you might be used to trouble." She grinned, winking, biting her lip. "Oooh Clochette is being flirty. What has the world come to?" She handed Dom the key, placing it firmly in his hand, laughing.

Clochette walked around the room, making sure everything was in order, fixing everything up until she thought it was acceptable. She must have missed this room in her cleaning frenzy, but it still looked overly cleaned."Well everything looks fine. I'll serve breakfast in the morning. Would you prefer to take breakfast in your room or out in the cafe?"

Dom nodded, slipping the vial back into the dark brown leather bag and then setting it upon the floor inside the room. "It can be, just depends on who knows you have it." he said with a small smirk, as if he knew something she didn't, which was very possible, what with the memory loss and all.

He watched her work a moment, amused by the way she seemed to need everything straightened up, the quickly stepped up to her and pulled her closer to him ever so gently. "Perhaps I was looking for trouble." he said, looking down at her, his neon blue eyes smiling with a mischievous sort of laughter. Of course he let her go quickly, so if she wished to step away she could. "How about breakfast in bed?" he said, giving her that charming little smile of his. Alright, he was flirting back, but he liked this girl, he liked that she spoke French with him. It brought back many good memories of his.

"I think you are trouble."She grinned, pushing him playfully. "No doubt about that. Soon all the girls in the cafe will soon over the mysterious blue eyed stranger and I'll have to beat them away with a broom. Imagine how that will make me look to the customers. Tsk tsk." She adjusted the bells in her hair, making sure they were snug after her little cleaning inspection to hide her reddening cheeks.

A slow grin spread on her face as she continued their little flirting banter. "My bed or yours?" Considering she had never really flirted before, or had felt the urge to, it was a nice novel feeling.

He laughed again guiding her closer to his person, his head lowered briefly his cheek brushing against hers, almost as if he were going to kiss her, but of course, he didn't. Not yet anyway, they were flirting, they were having fun, but he knew she most likely wasn't serious about any of this. "I can't help that women are attracted to the mysterious. It's why I don't tell people my entire life's story in the first five minutes of meeting them, that way I know they'll come back for more." he paused, touching one of the bells in her hair. "Just as you have." he whispered, his voice low, almost seductive, but with an over all playful tone.

"You are more than welcome to stay here. I'll keep you warm." he teased. He would have touched her then, maybe a small caress on her arm or cheek, but he didn't want to frighten her or make her uncomfortable. After all she was the hostess and he didn't want to be thrown out of the place, and of course he liked her and wouldn't mind calling her a friend, anything beyond that, was up to her.

"Oh? Is that so? I thought you were after Tris, not me." She giggled, biting her lip. Oh boy. "You two seemed to have quite the spark." She paused, letting her teasing sink in for a moment before continuing. "Creating a scandal are we? You know, I was quite the scandalous teenager in France... for various reasons. I'm surprised I wasn't exiled from the country." She grinned because it was true. Not that she had been arrested for what she had done, it was just whispered around until she became somewhat of a legend among the boys. Not that anyone would be able to tell. Or that she had told anyone in years. It had been a rough few years in France, and it had comforted her.

"That must have made me sound pretty bad." She smirked, pursing her lips. "Considering you might have just read my thoughts. I'm probably some sort of crazy magical being..." She laughed, trying to shrug the feeling of her past creeping up on her.

Dom shrugged, "Tris is... interesting, but she's human. Humans can only be captivating for so long, and their time on this earth is so short. You, on the other hand, are anything but human." he said, maybe he was being truthful, but then maybe he was still teasing her, it was hard to tell and he would never admit which were his true intentions. "Oh were you now? Well that gives me hope that we can create a scandal of our own. What would your human friend say if she found us together?" he questioned, something that he actually did want answered. He was a drifter, or at least had been for quite a while and he wasn't about to ruin a friendship over some flirting and perhaps meaningless intimacies.

He chuckled, finding it a little funny that she would think he would read her mind. "I don't make it a habit of reading peoples minds anymore, I found that people didn't really appreciate me knowing their secrets. Although if I had to guess on your species I would say some sort elf or perhaps a genie, it's the ears." he paused, feeling the conversation turning to something maybe a little more serious.

"If you ever wanted to rediscover your past, I may be able to help. Usually the mind doesn't loose memories, they are simply locked away. Unless they have be tampered with or removed by someone with my skill, I should be able to break down the mental barriers to your past." he was offering his services, but he didn't really expect her to take the offer, very few individuals ever did. He had found that people, although they sometimes were curious about their past, they never really wanted to know the truth. Probably because it usually wasn't pleasant.
