Sweet Water
{Located on the planet "Eden"}

[Image to come]

Sweet Water is one of few bars on the planet, Eden; a world of a rather unfortuante naming as it is a barren desert save for the poles. The bar is located several miles out from the nearest populated area, Derelict city, but only a few seconds jump by the transporter. Like much of said city, the Oasis is made from scrapped parts and renovated living spaces from one of the many transport ships used to reach the world a few generations back. The owner, Eris [played by Rosewing Alice], was born on Eden and *cough* inherited the establishment from the bandit who *cough* acquired it from her grandfather, Sweet Water's original founder. Eris welcomes any and all to her lowly tavern, so long as they adhere the posted rules; which are subject to change.

Description/Setting/Layout

General theme:
The story takes place in a semi-futuristic world, several solar system from home on a dead world. The planet was meant to be a lush, green, paradise but the terraforming process took a sudden blow when an unpredicted solar flare left the technology of the sojourners scrambled and useless. without the equipment, the process quickly undid itself. The planet not only lost the fertilization it was given, but rapidly grew more barren than it had been before and from their failed efforts, a desert world. With no way to get off world, the settlers had no choice but to dismantle the derelict transport ships to make shelter and try to contact home, but many if not all knew it would be years before even a reply; let alone a rescue. Sadly, neither ever came
Their lives and those of their children were more than difficult and it was nearly three and a half decades before a fully function craft capable of safely leaving the planet was made and those willing left the world, never looking back. A handful of families remained, but many of the scattered towns and cities ended up abandoned, one such city was "Derelict City", the third area of residence constructed. The city lay silent for a long time until it was bet and lost in a game of black jack by an off-world er named Jacob T. Artifello who had always held a bizzare flame for the old west of his ancestors as well as a few screws loose. Declaring, and renaming himself, Mayor of his new city, Jack "Black Jack" Artifello [changed to Mayor], prances about his empty city hoping to find a spark of adventure, but finding mostly just the quiet...that and sand, lots of sand.

Sweet Water
Sweet Water, also known as "The last good drink in Eden", stands two stories high and, thanks to it's founders eclectic nature, is likely one of the best furnished establishments you will find amidst the desert world. The airlock door leads to the main room, which reflects a rather standard, western bar; tables and chairs on either side with the bar and counter on the back wall. On either side of the bar, a flight of stairs lead to the second floor. The upstairs walkway wraps around the edge of the building, with a metal-grate balcony guarding the square opening to the floor below. The second floor is entirely made of rentable rooms, some larger than the others but most of less than luxurious size, though decent furnishing.

User Image~Eris Blacksteel~Silence hung in the dry, desert air, save for the occasional howl of the wind and the tumble of weeds. The rusty, two story, bar known as "Sweet Water" stood empty, not a soul in sight, but every indication of business remained on. the flickering, holo-sign that projected between the two posts in front of the bar read "Sweet Water -The Last Good Drink On Eden-" and even swung now and again; though rarely in-sync with the actual wind. The building itself looked like a well organized scrapyard, and in many ways it was. The main room had been salvaged from the cafeteria of the largest of the derelict ships, the rest had been scrapped form the hull or just sheet metal bolted together. Sweet Water always stood strong though, barely giving a ceak or clatter in the harsh winds, few establishments on Eden could claim the same.
A few yards from the building was a rather out-of-place piece of technology; a teleportation stand. It wasn't very dissimilar from the phone booth's of old, save that these were circular rather than rectangular and rather than a fixed-line phone there was a large and complicated looking disc on the roof which seemed to connect to the two or three foot antenna. In a quick blink, a white-blue light shot down the antenna and the box glowed suddenly. The bright light dispersed as soon as it had come and in it's place was a woman of all things, stepping quickly from the booth the instant she had gained her baring, which didn't seem to take anytime at all. She was a slightly slim woman, though she was far from shy on muscle. A life of hitting ahrd and running fast had left her with a rather trim and tone structure, and she wasn't afraid to show it off. She didn't wear much; by means that the small shirt and denim shorts weren't very covering. The only article of concealment she wore was a long hide, tan, cloak, buttoned around her neck and part way down her chest. A main of rose-red hair flared in the wind as she marched quickly towards the bar, holding a rather scathed, leather bag.
