Kadri wasn't one to worry about something unless she absolutely had to. She figured she should have been edge of her seat, teeth biting worried about whatever had caught the attention of 517's not so little friend, but it just wasn't the way her mind worked. And she certainly wasn't going to worry about the fact that she wasn't worried. That would just give her a headache. Once they got out there and the big baddies decided to pull some tricks, well, then she'd worry. As far as she thought, Kadri believed that more should act like her. But then again, that would probably cause the collapse of society as they knew it.

Instead, she focused on 517 himself. Amusement flitted across her face when the parfait and the refill of coffee was brought first and he stared at the treat as if it were some kind of alien being. Which she supposed to him it was. When he studied like a scientist in a laboratory, her brow furrowed in worry. She thought she'd chosen pretty tame considering what she could have gone with.

But at his question, her mouth just opened, then closed, then opened again before she finally answered, "I've never had anyone ask that question before. I..." she fought for words before her face lit up once again, "However you'd like, I suppose. Mix it together if you want the flavors combined and get a bit of each with every bite, or pick from top to bottom so you can eat around things you find you do not like." Her smile widening, she slid the spoon closer to his hand, oddly anxious to find out whether he liked her choices or not.
Kadri Nath

517 listened to Kadri with all the interest that he regarded new information. There was very little distinction between useless knowledge and useful knowledge. Knowledge was knowledge. Perhaps 517's one joy in life was the accumulation of information. He loved to learn, and she had his full attention when she spoke. When she finished, he took the spoon between his fingers and pondered for a moment. Kadri might mistake it as hesitation, but in truth he was deciding how he'd wanted to attack it. With the exception of yogurt, everything about this meal was foreign to him. He wanted to try each piece individually, to experience the individual merits of each item. Yet there was something to be said for simply diving in and taking a bite out of everything. 517 was willing to bet that the whole was greater than the sum of its parts. So without further ado, he dove the spoon into the parfait straight to the bottom. He captured a little bit of everything between the silverware and the edge of the glass. Then with all due haste (to prevent any of the overloaded bite from spilling) he extracted the spoon and stuffed it into his mouth.

As soon as 517 started chewing, his expression changed. It went from that curious/perplexed look to one that was... actually happy. It wasn't the dramatic orgasm happy you see on TV but it was happiness nonetheless. The corners of his slightly twisted up, and a faint pleased sound rumbled from his throat. "It's sweet." He said, shortly after swallowing. Obviously she knew that, but he felt like sharing. This was new to him after all. Having jumped headfirst into these new waters, 517 stuck his silverware back in the glass and began to stir it up. The combination of ingredients was wonderful, the strawberry and banana were sweet and had a soft texture. One that was a direct contrast to the texture of the granola, which gave it a bit of a crunch. Tasty, very very tasty. 517 took one more big bite before turning towards Kadri, nodding, and then speaking. "Thank you." He said, faintly but in English so that anybody could understand him. He was not ashamed to be grateful to her.

Plus he really ******** liked this parfait. It was so much better than stolen ramen. It was good enough that 517 was abandoning his coffee to keep working at it. Now that said quite a bit.

~~Flame subsided and sparked anew~~
~Reference Music: Luster [Dream-Luck] ~

Burned out like a flame snuffed by it's own greed.
That's what he felt like at the moment. Had he gone too far this time? It was true that he had never taken this high of a dosage before, and there was no precedent for this body's reactions. Still, he had definitely gone overboard. Even his spatial sight was gone, all of his sense had faded.

Ah, well. For the burning to subside with it, he was grateful. Though even his form had gone with it, he had fallen to the abyss once again. Stillness.

The silence and utter void enveloped him completely. He felt himself attempting to reach out to catch something, anything to keep him out. And yet he hesitated. The embrace of the void was something all too welcome. To contrast with the world others so longed for, this was the only place that he felt truly at home. Without borders, no balance, devoid of any necessary meaning.
'まあ、いいな.'

And with a thought, a splitting crack, and some small small barrage of distortion sparkles, his androgynous form had returned to the couch next to the fireplace. Ahh, too soon. He had been enjoying the moment.

Valo Terra was once again hunched over, head in his palms, the deep burning through the bones and seals slowly drifting away. Feeling well enough to stop this nonsense, he leaned back and fell against the soft cushion of the couch with a puff to survey the room with one eye. Not much was happening, but the scene was quite different all the same. Enough to startle him. What had been a moment's disappearance for him... how much time had passed? As much as he could muse on the disjointment of space and time, he knew it didn't help. A deft, practiced claw motion retrieved a silver pocket-watch from within his coat, flipped the cover to reveal a layered face fit to boggle most minds, then it was closed and repocketed with as much speed.

A glance had told him enough. At least it wasn't on the scale of weeks or months.

He turned his head in the general direction of the others and idly took in the room with his right eye, the red glow sweeping across the inhabitants and activities within. He didn't even take notice of the increased intensity and weight of his gaze, much less the comparative lightness of his body. As long as his exotic cocktail aura was slight, all was fine with him.

The single prying eye eventually settled on the bar. Or rather the priest's parfait. My, it looked delicious, especially to one who hadn't eaten in heaven knows how long. If his body's stomach could've grumbled, it no doubt would've. He stood and walked over to the bar with the flowing speed of strides that hardly matched his pace, coming to rest on an open stool before his coat could settle.

Some metal clinking within his coat as he shifted in the stool with thoughts of delicious treats before calling out. "Armor Bartender, I will have a Crêpe Suzette and a glass of Monbazillac wine if you please." While the armor busied with multiple orders old and new, Valo would glance to either side with smiles at the others currently relaxing at the bartop.

As short and unpleasant as his rest was, he felt much better now, energized. Perhaps he'd start a party or something soon enough.
LOUIE THE SNAKEMAN IN..

MOURNING

RITUAL

And so Louie the Snakeman had taken his perch in the various rafters hanging over the common room of the Lilith- just like had back in the days when the supernaturals and demons had marched into the Lilth and blew everything to s**t. The Snakeman wasn't much for attachment, he did realize, for every story had an end.. and, well. It's such an odd thing for him, to write a new ending to a book without any more pages.

He often found himself gluing in more, just to accomadate the new story. So, wrung around a thick rafter above the heads of some of the patrons, Louie spent the last few nights jotting down the new words of the Lilth into her old book, which he had written for her-- without her knowing, of course, she was never really meant to see it.

Either way, after a few hours of scribbling onto the paper the Snakeman found himself hungry and bored- two things that often ended up in some poor animal being chopped to bits by his face.. but.. nevermind that. With a stretch Louie slowly lowered himself down to the commons' floor, his massive, snake-like body providing a proper rope until enough of his mass touched the wooden floor. Like a sack of wet rags, the rest of his tail dropped.

Valo

Louie found himself slithering over to the bar, moving slowly- as his body was devoid of food, and the ground was quite cold. As a cold-blooded creature of the Homevoid, this made him quite sluggish. He took a seat next to VALO, coiling his massive, long body around the stool until he created a coil for which he could comfortably sit in. He ordered a platter of raw meat and nothing else.

"Goooood eeevening, huu-man thing, yessss." Said Louie, turning his skull-like head towards Valo. He had only the small semblance of scaly flesh over his face, but otherwise his cheeks, mouth, and eye sockets were remnant of something long dead-- and he had no eyes.. just glowing pits of yellow. Louie never blinked once.

"What'ssss your ssssstory?" He would hiss out, looking slightly above Valo's eyes, watching the golden words of his story passing in and out of his skull. Only he could see, of course.. not that it meant anything anyways.

~Entrance and Bar~

The door opened, bringing with it a short breeze, and a tall woman. She was pale with her wavy, raven hair tied into a low ponytail. Her eyes were obscured by a pair of black sunglasses. She wore a plain blazer, dress shirt (with no tie), and slacks. An empty gun holster hung from her belt like a memento of someone else's life.

As she walked to the bar she gave Valo and Louie a sideways glance, A quick glint of pink coming from the edge of her shades. While she was quite visibly human, to those who could see infra red light she would be faintly glowing, and to those with fine senses of smell she had a metallic ozone scent.

She sat at the bar, keeping her distance from the other patrons, she waited patiently for the armor to serve Valo, not saying a word until then. She asked, in a rough, slurred voice for chocolate milk and "those little cookie things they serve with tea", making hand motions as though that somehow explained what she meant.

LOUIE THE SNAKEMAN IN..

THE WALRUS

And so Louie the Snakeman did indeed look across the bar to the woman, canting his head and peering straight into her head and story with those lantern-like eyes of his. She looked quite the fancy individual, he had said to himself, just after recieving a platter of raw meat from the Armortender. His tongue flicked idly in her direction- tasting her presence, as it would, like a snake should.

He furrowed his bone-set brow at the taste, looking just slightly distasteful
."Eeevening, madame, yesss.." He hissed out, raising his huge, snake-like body off the stool, and slooowly slithering over to the woman, hips swaying in the motion of his tail.

"You are a huu-man thing, yesss, but not entirely.." He would say quite close to her now, turning his torso upside down so he looked at her at an odd angle."Aaaarent you bored, mm? Yesss~ you are.. what'ssss you're name, creeeature?"

~~Form and Substance~~

Strange sounds from behind him caught Valo's attention. There was another in the room that he had failed to notice, one that was currently approaching slowly. Something about the presence seemed quite off, and as he turned his head to face the greeting he found exactly what his other senses were telling him. A snake, but different.

My, what a curious appearance, with a curious temperament. The red embers of Valo's eyes locked on to the yellow pits he was faced with, and the lengthened words coming at him irked him slightly. His smile wavered for but a moment. He supposed he could forgive the observations of a being so far from the label levied at him.

Another one had entered in the meantime, a woman. Valo's gaze flicked over her long enough to take in minor details. Enough to tell that there was a good amount of interest to be gleaned from the newcomer. He'd get to her in a bit, in the meantime there was the snake to respond to.

"Greetings to you." He wasn't entirely sure whether it was evening to begin with. "First piece of the story, I'm not even remotely human. Or from this plane for that matter." A response with neutrality, one that would no doubt spark more questions. The faint demonic and divine energies coming from Valo weren't much of a signifier to begin with. But such was fine to him, he was sorely in need of some entertainment. As the snake began to move again it was obvious he would get it.

A couple quiet clacks of his silver claws resonated in the table, idle movements of a free hand left to it's own devices. The armor silently approached with a glass and poured it half full of Monbazillac before retreating. Valo picked it up carefully with his left claw, subtly rotated it, smelled it, and set it back down on the counter. It would still be a bit of time before the rest of the order came, but the wine seemed good enough.

Out of the corner of his eye he'd appraise the antics of the snake with mild interest. Curious indeed.

~Sitting in front of the bar~

She winced at the serpent's words and stayed silent for a moment as Rion returned with her order.
"Sable," she said, not even turning from her cookies.

Instead she, again, gave Valo, and then Louie a sideways glance.
"Do you know him?" She asked the snake man, nodding her head and gesturing lightly towards Valo.

It was getting busier in there. Kadri's attention slid from where she was oh so focused on 517 to the rest of the room, noting the odd occupants that she had just brushed off before. She was normally a social creature, but there was so much more on her mind at the moment than making friends or creating more enemies. So the snake man and the others were brushed off once more so that she could smile at 517 and his obvious delight in her chosen food. Noting that her plate was empty, she slid it across the bar so that Rion could pick it up at his convenience. Her smile spreading, Kadri's head bobbed with a soft, "You're welcome." The action sent her ponytail bouncing, dark hair sliding across her back.

"If you like that, you'll probably enjoy the next as well," she offered, just as Rion slid the plate onto the bar, the egg concoction steaming lightly. The scent from the food wasn't strong but would probably be oddly comforting. It was a food that didn't scream at you to eat it, but invited a small sample before one dug in with delight. And everything that she had picked was geared to be both light and filling, along with providing the energy that she knew he would need.

Dear god, she was starting to worry about him. That thought made her frown, something she hid behind lifting her cup and taking a nice long sip of the warm liquid. That was something that she would have to tuck away for later perusal. She didn't make attachments to others. Attachments usually became problems...especially when people died. And really, him of all people? She teased 517, taunted him. But damn it, she was actually starting to like him.

Name: Leontias Métaliene

Well that was certainly fun while it lasted.

He didn't honestly expect to gain a good team like he did, nor did he expect his little plan to actually work. It seemed to work better than he thought however. He lifted up his old pick and smiled at the now white finish. However, he was bloodied, and obviously damaged, at least whatever was being exerted out of his body LOOKED like blood. It was a strange coloring of dark green that seemed to be leaking out of various cuts on his body, and staining his now horribly ripped jacket.

He stared at the inhabitants of the taverns and spread a smile onto his face, nothing to be completely sad about today, He'd finally got rid of his curse and while he was plum tired he was also plum hungry. Gambino did not have much places he liked to eat at and he found fish absolutely disgusting. A Strange thing really that he was already gaining a taste, whether good or bad of earthling food.

"So uhh, is anybody here that can serve me?" He had at this point completely forgot about Rion.

LOUIE THE SNAKEMAN IN..

LONG
TIME,

"Greetings." He would've shouted back into Valo's face the moment he said it, snapping his form like a whip towards the pallid, red-eyed figure with a certain urgency that only a real madman could properly understand. Even through his years and years of travel he always found himself interested in those of demonic alignment or heritiage. In some worlds, demons plagued the stars and tore civilization and literal worlds apart just for the sheer ******** of doing it.

But the calm demeanor of this one and his apparent handsomeness made Louie think otherwise- although, perhaps not. Above the man's head- and above everyone's head, even, was a golden halo of words that slowly told their story.. their past, their experiences, and sometimes-- what they were thinking, if it related to their lives on an important level.

He would stare up at Valo's brow for a moment- giving the odd sensation of someone looking into you instead of at you. Louie the Snakeman would furrow his bony brow after shaking his head, scowling. There was nothing interesting at the moment- or at least, nothing interesting that he could find.

The order came.

Louie found himself curling around the barstool the very next to Valos, his eyes unblinking as always, glowing and yellow and foreboding and pervasive.

"Thisssss place. It issss full of sssstory. It is full of hissssstory, yes." He would wiggle a couple of those sharp claws at him, humming."But now it isssss stagnant. It isssss quiet. I do not like thisssss..."

"Ssssso. Huu-man thing. Do -you- have history?"
