You're a quick one, aren't you Anya? I asked smiling. When did you learn to talk so articulately?

"Mommy was always talking to me when i was in her belly. I am also very advanced for a child my age. i could talk and act like one, but thats no fun without any other kids here. and since i am half of my mommy and half of my daddy i have almost all of their special abilities. She looked at him and swung her legs, obviously very happy to have any kind of freedom
"i got the same answer. a few of her powers are already looking to be greater than mine." I said sitting at the bar, getting a drink. "you want anything sen?"

Do you have any soup? I haven't had any for awhile. Almost all their abilities? I hope that didn't include mind-reading. My mind was no place for an innocent child like her. Or anyone for that matter.

"oh mommy, mommy! can i do it?" She asked and before waiting for an answer she snapped her fingers, a bown of soup and a spoon appeared before sen in a cloud of purple smoke. "and yes i can read minds. and yours is just like mommy and daddy's."
Heather looked over at Anya and smirked. "see? i cant even pull things out of the air like that."

Maybe because she was being talked to by you that helped. I smiled at Anya. Thank you very much. I said picking up the spoon.

"i dunno. but im trying to get her to get used to her powers."
"it's alright. i like it. it's fun!" Anya said and smoothed out her skirt. "you know you can't let things like that bother you. they were attacking and you too the defense."

I sighed. Yeah, maybe. But they were still people. Even if they were the enemy, it's never easy for me.

"yes but you have to think. do you think they would care if they killed you? would they wonder about your loved ones or your life? they started it,you finished it." Anya stated matter-of-factly.

No. They wouldn't have. It's not like the old militaries on this world that considered deaths more than just numbers. Thank you, for that. I said smiling thankfully.

"so does that mean i made you feel better?"

Yes it does. I couldn't have let them kill anyone here. Especially after I brought them here.

Eve. You are a very mature newborn. I said trying to clear my mind of Eve killed cause of my actions.

I smiled. Yeah, but I think he would of overdone it. They have less than half of the troops they started with, they lost several of their officers and NCOs, and they're afraid of taking even one step towards us without getting killed. Their morale is broken and they'll probably retreat. That's all I wanted.
