Perhaps it was the petal's proximity to Michael's left foot that had caused the blurring and slowness in his reality. Maybe, even if it only added to the source of his troubles, the leg implanted in his gut was to blame the most? After feeling the hard surface of a wall connecting with his back and his head rising back against it shortly after, the cloud-white hands of the man dropped to his sides. Slouched against the wall, clear vision gradually returned to his crimson irises, as he looked up to the sound of a crunching snap. Akin to a giant Venus fly-trap or such fauna.
Unsure of what had just happened, the husband looked to the wife for the quickest of moments, before locking onto the pile of ash in the room. For a brief instant, he caught it, the abrupt presence of their other daughter. The oldest of the three, now only of the one that remained. Where did the other two girls disappear to? What did it mean?
With her eyes closed the young dark-haired girl only felt the other presence as it shoved her back by the shoulders, causing her frame to veer back and off her feet! She flew low, backwards across the floor for several feet. Before her shoulder contacted the floor first followed by the rest of her body with a forced thump!
Letting go of her hold on her boot her left hand slides back, planting itself on the floor beside her as she pushed herself to sit up at a reclined angle. Her body still locked up from the fear just a few seconds ago Mali struggled to look, catching the scent released after the sound that echoed in her ears. She fully expected to see nothing but darkness around her, if she was still even alive to see anything at all! What was uncertainly welcome, however, through a single, partially opened eye, was not darkness. Nor was it a blinding light or her torn-in-half-from-the-waist-down body..... but, there was... nothing?
Mali looked forward in confusion as both eyes opened, her mind trying to comprehend what had happened. At first she thought she had been kicked, but that would have sent a pain to her stomach and chest first and foremost. Not to her shoulders and back, leaving the front of her torso untouched. Save for the bruise from her initial impact against Adamanta's feet. "W-wh...ere..did she go?"
