Aikichi slid the paper door shut and rolled across the tatami while stretching her body out, her kimono entirely disheveled. There were some geisha who behaved appropriately the second they start their maiko training, whether in public or in their private lives. Aikichi was not one of these geisha. The second she was behind closed doors, she let her unrefined side show. If there were no guests in the tea house, then Aikichi could often be seen getting scolded for behaving in such ways. Aikichi did not care, however, as she had earned most of the money for her training back during her first year as a geisha thanks to her brilliant shamisen playing.

Deciding against sleeping and just living the day tired, Aikichi sat up and situated herself next to the small table in her room. There were multiple colors of paper scattered about, small scrap pieces, some folded pieces and scissors that she had taken from the dining room. In her spare time, Aikichi liked to make various origami animals as well as paper decorations. She definitely was not good at it, but Aikichi enjoyed the trivial crafts nonetheless. Aikichi grabbed the scissors with her long fingers and started attacking a piece of paper ruthlessly, entirely focused on creating a new creation.

Ajisai sighed after fifteen minutes of looking in drawers, under chairs, in vases, everywhere, pulling her kimono open and her obi askew in the process. Pushing hair off her face, she snarled and started to fix her garnments when she remembered something.

"Aikichi..." she muttered utterly angry and marched, obi askew and all, towards room 308 ont he third floor.

"Aikichi! Give me my scissors back!" she growled, opening the paper door.

Aikichi heard footsteps, but thought nothing of it until her door had been yanked open. Startled, Aikichi dropped the scissors and the paper, the scissors falling beside her. "I didn't know they were yours!" Aikichi instantly defended herself, quickly pulling her kimono tighter against her body and attempting to fix the obi. "I needed scissors for my origami and they had just been lying around, so I took them." Aikichi wanted to chide the older geisha for leaving her objects around the tea house if they weren't meant to be touched, but even Aikichi knew when to keep her mouth shut as she would not dare speak out of line to Ajisai.

The older girl walked into the room, walked around Aikichi and picked her scissors up.

"Really...? Aikichi they have my name engraved on them!" she protested back showing her the kanji pertaining to the Hydrengea flower. "Alright... alright... I apologize for exploding like that, I've just been looking for them all over the place. Here, you can use them a bit more, I have to get re-dressed and go down stairs to see if there's any costumers. Just... please ask next time? Even if they are laying around, they could be someone's," she added, and giving the younger girl a soft pat on the head she walked as degnified as she could out of Aikichi's room.

Back in her own room, Akisai changed into a fresh kimono and obi, having covered the others in dust and walked down stairs humming to herself as she saw to the maids asking her questions and reviewed the menu for the day.

                                              Finally. A day off.

Kimiko was pleased to sleep in a bit later today, given it was only half an hour or so, and was even happier to know she had the whole day to herself. No practice. No classes. No performances. She had the entire day to do whatever it was she pleased. She could go out into town—of course, assuming that she received permission to do so—or she could work on her latest kanzashi project, or perhaps she could start a new ikebana? Her options were limitless! She thought over her day carefully, wanting to enjoy it in full, as she began to put on her makeup. She had no performances later that day but she still enjoyed wearing makeup. She applied very light natural makeup, not wanting to put up her full mask as she did other days, and applied a little red at the corner of her eyes. She was, after all, still a maiko and would like to make it clear to their guests if her clothes weren’t enough of a giveaway. She searched around for a few brief moments, unsure of where to go casual or formal today in her clothing. Casual meant she could get yelled at for not being presentable in front of their guests—but formal was just . . . well, it wasn’t quite relaxing enough for a day off.

I guess I have no choice . . .” The young maiko sighed softly as she went for more formal wear. She carefully dressed herself, having done so many times before despite not being allowed to do so on her regular days, and smiled as she stepped in front of the mirror. Pink. By far one of her favorite colors as it reminded her of the cherry blossom trees in the spring. She sighed softly yet happily at the thought of her first official flower viewing as a maiko. It was bound to be beautiful, right? Perhaps she could go with a few of her fellow maikos? Or maybe one of the stunning Geisha that stayed at the inn? She was too lost in thought to notice the sound of heavy footsteps as someone marched angrily down the hall until the sounds from an angry geisha yanked her out of her daydream. She blinked a few times, her mind unable to process what she was hearing. Someone was . . . upset? But who? She quietly stepped over to the shoji and slid it open just enough for her to poke her little head out. She looked down the hall in the direction of the noises only to see the heir geisha, Ajisai-sama, entering the room of another geisha.

Kimiko remained there, her head sticking out, as she tried to understand just what was going on. Eavesdropping was wrong. Especially when it came down to a mere maiko listening in on two geishas. But she couldn’t help it. She wanted to know why the heir geisha was upset and, well, if she could fix it. It seemed the quarrel was ended early as a mention of scissors was brought up and Ajisai-sama left the room. The maiko quickly tugged her head inside and closed the door as she silently prayed she wouldn’t be caught for committing such an act. She remained at her door for a few minutes until all fell silent. It seemed she was safe. A soft sigh left her and her shoulders slouched as she relaxed. So it was something silly after all. Well, silly to her but clearly not to the geisha who had gotten upset. She walked across her room and picked up her current work in progress kanzashi. She was hoping to have the beautiful tsumami hana kanzashi finished in time for a special occasion.

It still needs a few more accents . . .” She mumbled softly, before setting it back down and leaving her room. Surely visiting the gardens would be enough for her to spark some inspiration? Hopefully no one would mind her stepping outside for a few minutes. She put on her sweetest of smiles as she headed down stairs, greeting every person she happened to pass by. Seeing Ajisai-sama, she quickly straightened herself up and bowed deeply to the geisha. “Good day, Yamamoto-sama.” She said, softly, hesitating before rising. She dared not to move along, despite wanting to get to the garden as fast as possible, without first being given acknowledgement and permission to leave.

Ajisai was deep in thought arranging an ikebana arrangement another girl had made on the little table near the front door of the ochaya and barely akcnolwedged Kimiko till she had talked.

"Ah, Kimiko-chan. Good day. Today is you day off if I'm not much mistaken right? Enjoy it, but be careful, alright? And don't go into town alone, I heard that a band of samurai were nearby, we don't want anything to happen to any of us, alright?" she said giving the girl a gentle pat on the head and fixing her kanzashi with a sisterly gesture. "There. You look as fresh as a sakura blossom, now go enjoy your day off and behave," she added, winking at the younger girl and gliding away silently.

The heri geisha sighed as she reached the living-room part of the Ochaya and Inn, she sat down on a chair and looked around. She felt... odd... a bit empty... maybe it wasn't her day today? Shaking her head slightly, she stood up and went to the kitchen to fix herself a cup of chair tea, and walked out to the front garden, siting neatly on the grass next to the koi pond.

-Trekking throughout the realm in which he's guided by the calming zephyr, he would find himself venturing off into the timberland thicket from the main road that others often travel. Those ash colored grind shoes that casually conveyed the strapping frigid form would pause in step, as that revealing almond shaped optic of a vibrant sapphire hue survey the terrain. "Ey, ya smell dat?" He would utter to Kurai that's being carried along his broad right shoulder, slightly tilting his nose into the air and taking a few sniffs before and after. There were quit a bit that gained his attention, from the smell of the elegant cherry blossoms to the fresh ever flowing water. While he was sniffing out the environment, his body gradually pivots towards the direction of where it was most strongest.

"Hm." His bladed tail would raise and settle the flatside along her back to keep her supported in an upright position as he resumed in strolling along. The five- ten, rock solid two hundred twelve pound being didn't wear much when it came to attire. He always dressed for comfort and a simple baggy pair of arctic pattern camouflage pants was all he needed, aside from his grind shoes. The left hand adorned a midnight colored fingerless glove with a special metal plating bolted into the material with the elemental insignia etched into the plate, the right was equipped with a silver and gold armored talon gauntlet. With his chocolate satin flesh exposed to the world in displaying his well-defined muscular physique, the upper body had various scars due to countless battles and trials he endured.

few cuts decorated along the abdomen while the right shoulder held an old scar that flared outwards to branch along the bicep. This would be sighted casually striding along the cobblestone pathway, taking their time through the gorgeous scenery to eventually approaching the bridge. At the point, the scent of fish was mighty strong and it started spark a bit of hunger within his stomach. The pond was definitely a sight to behold but, his nose was picking up the aroma of something alcoholic and that's what kept his focus on the task at hand. D stopped for a moment and just took in his surroundings. The trees about, the wind blowing through his hair and the cobblestone path he was currently on. This was slightly strange and yet familiar to him, wanderlust was nothing new when it came to D. He never liked to stay in one place for to long rather he liked to take in the world as it's whole with everything it could throw at him. New experiences where what he craved and that could range from anything to food or just getting his a** beat to a bloody pulp it didn't matter he welcomed it all, on his own terms of course. But sometimes something else would interfere with the way he traveled, he would often find himself on areas he hadn't notice he walked in to which what was happening at the moment. This path he didn't remember even staring the walk upon it let alone how long he had been following it, quite strange but this wasn't the first time it happen and the results from these little offset adventures proved to be quite the experience to him. He followed that path and it lead him to a Palace.

Well technically it wasn't exactly a place per say but it was damn well close to being one. The white marble walls and the blue shingle rooftop set that fact in stone. And the scent ohhh the scent of the cherry blossoms that decorated the place. The pink petals floating in the wind gave a strong aura of peace and tranquility to the place. His boots made a steady clomping sound as he walk the cobblestone path to the small bridge over a pond, this was worth checking out.

                                              Ajisai-sama was so kind.

The young maiko couldn’t help but widen her smile as the older geisha spoke to her in a way that often reminded her as motherly. She was careful to remind her of the dangers of town and even took the time to fix the kanzashi that hung from her hair. She remained silent and simply gave a nod in response to the heir geisha before bowing deeply as she departed. She rose once the geisha’s back was towards her and admired the graceful walk she had and that confidence that hung on her shoulders. It was the true beauty of a geisha that she could only hope to achieve one day. Once Ajisai-sama was out of sight, she turned back around and headed on her way towards her original destination. The garden. She walked a bit faster than normal as she was eager to see the beautiful flowers up close that she normally only had time to admire from afar and the stunning koi pond she passed every day as she crossed the bridge to head to work.

“Beautiful as always . . .” Kimiko said softly as she arrived. Her pace slowed drastically as she now took her time to walk through and around the garden, being sure not to disturb the flowers as she did so. After only a minute of walking, her thoughts began to spiral down a new path as she thought of the various kinds of kanzashi she could make based on the elegance of the flowers alone. Or maybe she could try to replicate their beauty? She smiled to herself at the picture of one of the geishas wearing one of her creations during their performances or even around the house. It was a lovely thought but one that she was quickly distracted from as the sound of footsteps caught her attention. She halted immediately and turned to see who else had chosen to visit the gardens. To her surprise, it was the very geisha she had spoken to earlier; Ajisai-sama.

A—“ She stopped and silenced herself immediately as she realized the heir geisha had probably come to the gardens to relax. It would be awfully rude of her to even think of disrupting that peace. So, instead, she simply remained where she was and kept quiet as her eyes followed the stunning woman once more. She had walked along the garden and settled down on the grass by the pond. Perhaps she was adoring the koi? Another smile tugged at her lips as she turned her back to the older woman once more and continued her walk along the garden. What else could she do today? She wished to visit the town but it seemed that wouldn’t be much of an option as she had already been warned of band of samurai wandering the streets. That only meant one thing; she would have to have someone accompany her. She couldn’t have that.

With a small huff, the maiko plopped herself down unceremoniously onto the ground and stretched her legs out as she stared at the flowers. Once more, she tried to drift her thoughts off enough to think of nothing but her kanzashi work but it seemed more things were coming to distract her thoughts. Like . . . customers. The sound of footsteps caught her attention once more as she looked over at the cobblestone path that lead to their beautiful inn to see that their start of customers for the day had finally arrived. It took the young maiko a moment to realize her position was not acceptable and she quickly tucked her legs under her and straightened out her furisode. Now more proper, she turned her direction back towards the strangers and watched as they headed towards the inn. Poor Ajisai-sama . . . It seems her relaxation time will have to be cut short. She thought, her attention briefly moving over to the geisha before looking back at the customers.

At the sound of his voice, the kitsune would bring her mind and attention back to the here and now. Her head would tip back slightly to sniff the air, Crimson eyes drifting half closed. A deep inhale brought her a plethora of information. Most important to her, it brought the knowledge of people nearby. And to her, that meant a nice fluffy bed, food, and a bathroom. As Kizu began to walk again, her fingers would run thru his hair, almost absentmindedly, a smile playing at her lips. Somewhere along the way, he had turned in to her own personal car. A soft snicker passed over her lips. She got to ride him in more ways than one, it would seem.
Her tail began to sway back and forth as she took in her surroundings. If she had known they would find such a gem, she would have wore proper clothing, not a crimson tank top and cotton back shorts. Then again, she silently scolded herself, she should have dressed better to look good adorning his arm, as she was. She had such a closet full of beautiful clothing that would have looked amazing here. There was always tomorrow. But she had wanted to be comfortable for the journey, uncertain how long they would travel, logic argued. For now, she was going to enjoy her time here. And her delectable company
