Tynan had walked into the center of Barton and gazed at all the little shops that lined the fountain area, hoping she would spot what she was looking for; a Pet shop. She saw one, but another shop sparked her interest; a music store, but it seemed to be on the next street, so she instead walked into the pet store and was greeted by that light scent that all pet stores seemed to have, like it was a prerequisite for the job. It was the scent of fresh bedding and animals. Tynan smiled, she hadn't been in a pet store in quite some time.
"Hello! Welcome to Barton Pet Supply!" The shop keeper said from the counter. He was a nondescript man, the only note worthy thing about him was his deep red hair. Tynan nodded and smiled sheepishly at his greeting, her heart fluttering from nerves. "Let me know if you need any help, Ma'am!"
"I will, thank you," Tynan's voice came just as sheepishly as smile as she quickly turned to browse through the store, quickly picking out one of the larger baskets to carry with her so she wouldn't be dropping things all over the store.
Her first stop was at the food dishes where she picked out some cream colored ceramic dished that sat in a wonderfully wrought cast iron stand. The stand was beautiful and elegant with it's little swoops and curls laid in the metal. It may have been more metal, but it was pleasant enough to look at Tynan didn't even consider putting it back. Tynan went to walk away, but stopped and picked up the single dish that had the same matching stand and put it into her basket as well; She'd need someplace to put Chii's treats.
Tynan's next stop was a bright new shining collar for Chii. She picked out, not a cat collar, but a small dog one for Chii made of black leather with small gemstones tastefully laid into the leather so it would stand out against Chii's fur. She set collar into the basket before sweeping off to find the cat hygiene aisle two rows over. Here is where she had trouble, after picking out a nice soft bristled brush and a shedding brush, she couldn't decided to get wipes to try to get the cat back to the beautiful glory Tynan knew she could be.... or buy the "Wet" shampoo that required she actually get Chii wet. Yes, it would defiantly expedite the process of restoring Chii's fur but she'd be torturing both Chii and herself to get it done. She figured she'd be more patient and go with the cleaning wipes first, then if they didn't work she'd try something else. She just could justify betraying Chii's trust with water when she'd only just gained it.
Quickly she picked out several toys for Chii, and ordered several cat trees that would be delivered tomorrow and picked out some scratches to take home to Chii today. Tynan also thought about the Picture window and stopped by the pet bedding section. They made such tasteful pet beds now! Tynan picked out several in blues, purples and blacks the looked like expensive, ornate pillows, Except these could be washed, unlike the authentic ones. To serve as the base cushion of Chii's place by the window she picked out a large cushion about the same shape as the seat that was black and tan with little swirls of black flowers cascading over the tan, as if only their shadows had been captured upon the cloth.
Tynan had, of course, been forced to leave these at the counter as there was no way all of them would fit in her tiny basket and headed towards the refrigerated section of the pet food. She picked out some frozen raw lamb and chicken as well as a small bag of dry cat food, a weeks supply of wet food, cat milk, and a small bag of cat treats. She thought she'd need a container for the dry stuff; She'd seen cats tear the bags open so they could eat all the wanted, and Tynan simply couldn't have that. She picked out a rather small food container and took that to the counter as well before heading back for a covered litter box and the essential litter.
The poor young shop owner was more than a little over whelmed by all of her purchases; perhaps it had been awhile since someone spent so much in his shop? He seemed happy enough about it, though once he read her the amount owed. Tynan hadn't worried about the price, she had a secret account at the Gambino bank that had more than enough in it and always would. Her parents would wire her more than enough to get by on. It was all hush hush, as she wasn't suppose to be given help from the court members, her parents included, but they had insisted and she couldn't refuse.
She took out the little rectangular plastic from her wallet and handed it over to the man so he could swipe it and handed it back with a slip for her to sign. She left with a large bag in one hand and two of the shop assistants behind her who had been more than eager to help her carry her things to the Cafe.
She did, however stop at a small greenhouse and purchased a large hibiscus plant to keep indoors. The more plants she had in her apartment the better she'd feel. She'd have to visit the music shop tomorrow, sadly. She held the large potted plant in her other arm with no problem at all and lead the two assistants back to the Cafe.
