Tala tilted her head at the strange male's words, then glanced across at Lianna...
"What's his deal...?" She pondered, raising an eyebrow as she brought her hand from the hilt of her dagger to the chain on her belt.
Lianna also raised her eyebrow. "I .. dont know?" she whispered back to the girl, who's name she still did not know. "Yes, he is. Recently. Why do you ask Sir?" she pondered, tapping her foot some. "Pirates. We are... well, were.." she said, glancing at the bodies. "Speak up then Sir, we havent all day" she said, tapping her fingers on her hip.
He stops and looks at them “I had business with your father, seeing as he is dead I assume I am no longer needed.”
Lianna narrowed her eyes at him. "What business?" she asked, tipping her head to the side. "As his daughter, you may deal with me if needs be.." she added, bending over and picking up a shell. "And, we could use your help anyway.." she said, looking to the girl for support.

[[ Tala, you need to introduce yourself to Lianna, otherwise she'll be calling her "the girl" forever... lol ]]

Tala caught her gaze and nodded. Having been drafted in as a member of the crew she knew they were going to need all the help they could get.
He pauses for a second and gets back off his horse and walks up to Lianna getting closer than most would feel at ease with. “Your father wanted me to kill someone for him, I don’t know who or why. That’s why I came to see him, he is now dead so I must assume that whoever he was after, got to him first.” He steps away from her while still staring into her eyes, “Your father did not pay me in advance and I don’t work for free, so I shall be going now”
Lianna stared into his eyes as she shifted on her feet. When she heard why he had been hired by her Father, she shot the girl a look. Obviously this man was out to get her. He just didnt know it yet. "Well, actually.. He died in a crash. .." she sighed and rolled her eyes.. "I lost control of the wheel, so we went down.." she lied, gritting her teeth. "I'll pay you what you need" she added as she took a step back and walked to her small bag on the sand. She picked it up, all the while keeping her gaze on the man, and rummaged inside until she found what she was looking for. Walking back to him, her skirt fluttering in the breeze, she pulled his hand out and dropped a bag of gold into it. "That should cover any costs" she smiled, and glanced at the girl. "You owe me" she mouthed, as she closed the mans hand over the bag. "It should also cover a few weeks work, if youre interested?". She unclenched his hand and folded her tanned arms over her chest.

Tala lip-read perfectly...then glanced away with a frown, no wonder the boss had sent her to pick up an 'abandoned' ship...he probably wanted rid of her and now she was going to take the heat for something she didn't deserve...

Quietly she pondered over how she was going to get out of this mess, glancing up at Lianna as the woman handed some of her stash over to the man.
He took the gold bar and looked it over, “I guess this will have to do” he holds the bar in both hands and it seems to disappear into the left palm. “Normally I would demand more but seeing as you have lost your father and” he looks around at the bodies “what seems to be your family. I will help you”

*Good...another teammate* Tala smirked, *With more hands I can use the time to think up my revenge...* She folded her arms, momentarily lost deep in thought...

Letting out a sigh she turned away, walking back towards the wreckage, "I'm gonna go look for salvageable parts!" She called this back over her shoulder, feeling it best to leave the pair to get acquainted before they discussed their next move.
He watches the girl walk away and looks back to Lianna, "How much do you trust that wolf?"
Lianna grinned as she watched the girl walk away. She folded her arms across her chest, and eyed up the girl as she rifled through the wreckage. "Well, I dont have much reason to trust her as it happens, but I need crew members, and shes willing.. so." She scuffed her bare foot on the floor and looked to the male. "Why do you ask?" she pondered.

"Damn thing's nothing but scrap..." Tala muttered, kicking aside what was originally the helm before crouching down as something caught her eye. "What's this?" She picked up the trinket, twisting it in her hands before holding it up by its chain to inspect it in the sunlight. "Might be worth something later, although..." She remembered Lianna and glanced over towards the pair, realising they were both watching her...

Casually, she wandered back towards them, breathing a sigh as she came to a stop, "There's barely anything salvageable, but I did find this..." She held the necklace up for Lianna to see,
Suddenly, Crenla jumped into the sky and flew to the shiny item she saw in front of her. Seeing that a human held it, she flew over their hand and grabbed the chain of the necklace with her beak. She flew away from the sunlight and perched herself on a branch in a tree. She could clearly see the three people looking at her in disgust. Oh boy, Crenla thought, this could mean trouble.
