Love sighed when Sevren left, knowing his 'work' wasn't pretty. She licked her lips and turned to her daughter. "Acrista, its time for school." She said, needing some form of distraction. The five year old sighed, and patted one of the wolves on the snout, then walking over to her mother.
"I don't wanna do school work." Acrista said, folding her arms across her chest with a pout. Love smiled and picked the girl up.
"I know you don't, however, you know the first rule of survival. Right Acrista?" Love asked heading down to Sevren and her room to grab her daughter's bag.
"Yes mommy." Acrista said.
"And what is that?" Love asked, heading towards the library.
"The best way to kill your enemy is to outsmart them." Acrista said and Love nodded with a hum of approval. "Or I can just call daddy."
Love chuckled. "Normally, yes. Calling your father would help you. But baby, he's not always going to be able to get to you. Neither will I, so you need to be able to defend yourself." Love replied when they reached the library. She set Acrista down. "Pick a spot." She said, wanting to see where her daughter chose.
Acrista instantly went to the area near the back of the large room. From that spot, all the windows were clear, as were the doors. However, the set of chairs was hard to see from the doors, and several of the windows. All in all, a perfect spot to see without being out in the open. Acrista climbed in to a chair and looked towards her mother with large glowing eyes.
Love smiled and headed towards her daughter, taking her spot in the seat across from her. She opened the small purple and light blue bag and dug around before pulling out a large old leather book and set it on her lap.
"Alright Acrista, what was the last creature we talked about?" Love asked, flipping through the book. She remembered, but wanted to see if her daughter remembered.
