User ImageJust as Janet manage to slip Aman's key into the doorknob of room two she paused to look down at Aman again. This time she heard him whisper under his breath about a brother. The ghost had told her that she couldn't like me remember anything from his past so, was his brother apart of his past? The skunks eye's narrowed just a degree as she pondered what it was he could have been dreaming of. However, she didn't think for long after noticing that he was sweating in his sleep. Was he hot? She leaned her head over and pressed her furry cheek on his damp forehead. Her current situation was certainly odd because she couldn't ever remember a point in her life where she cared so much for children. She couldn't remember anything outside of Elysium Inn. She couldn't remember having a mother, father, or a childhood. The common concept of not knowing between her and Aman was perhaps the fact that she couldn't remember anything beyond three years ago. The mysterious ghost words had no effect on Janet until she started to think of her own life. Was she meant to not know her past too? 'It's probably for the best.' She quickly told herself and removed her head from the small boys head. Her white fur lay flat on her cheek from the moister it collected from the boys head. She bent her knees a little to make it easier to twist and turn the key to open the door. She removed the key from the key hole as she softly pushed the door open.

Janet's thoughts were still on the blank past she couldn't uncover. She couldn't even uncover the secrets of her life with imagination. Any attempt was shut down by an outer force she was unaware of. She turned to the side, so that she wouldn't hit Aman's feet or head against the doorframe. Once she was in the room she lightly kicked the door closed with the back of her foot. She sighed and looked around the empty two bed room. It was spotless thanks to the fine maids she haired. She smiled, walking across the carpet floor next to the large bed. There were plenty of pillows for anyone to adjust to their own comfort. She looked at the small item on the center of the bed and smiled. Her eyes glanced down on the boy as she leaned over to place in him into the bed. Their eyes met and Janet couldn't move for some peculiar reason. It had to be the large blue jewels sparkling up at her. Or the fact that for a split second she thought of him as her son. She always thought of everyone under her care as her children but the feeling she got was one stronger, genuine, the real deal almost. Yet, her thoughts quickly took over reminding her that such a thing couldn't be. She didn't give life to this boy and he did not have her blood. Anyone could see that by looking at him. The awe in her eyes phased away and replaced by a natural look a mother would give that said good morning without words.

What was she suppose to say? Her warm smile never faded as she contemplated the words to use. While she carefully rest his back against the large pillows she finally figured out what to say. "Good to see you awake kiddo," she chuckled softly removing her arms from under him so that his light body could sink into the soft comforters. "Had me really worried for a second there." She stood up straight and placed her hand on her round hip. Her tail wrapped lightly around her legs as she turned to walk to the bathroom. "Sit tight I'll get a cool wash cloth." The skunk glanced over her shoulder with a smile and disappeared in the bathroom. Soon after the soft flick of the light switch the soft hum of the vent started but only a second after it was turned off. Janet's sliver and gold eyes quickly looked across the bathroom wall and pulled down a hand towel. Within the next minute the skunk was turning the bathroom lights out and walking from the bathroom with a damp white towel in her hands. "You can call me Janet," she exhaled as she sat down next to him. "A good friend of mines brought you to me and asked me it I could take care of you." She smiled and reached out to damp his forehead gently rubbing the cloth across his skin. "Are you hungry?" Her hand tapped his cheek as her tail rolled onto the bed.

Her ears flicked ever so slightly. There was a lot going on around the inn and it almost pained her that she couldn't properly handle everything. At times she wished she could clone herself and handle the stair incident more properly. Not only did she leave her best maid on the floor but she ignored the fact that she hadn't seen the young neko around the inn before. Such events nagged her to the core and she would have to check back on Iria soon. It wasn't as if she didn't care about Iria, it was the simple fact that she knew Iria was a tough girl and sometimes a parent had to let a child handle a fall on their own. If she babied them what good would her actions be in the long run. It was also the fact that Iria wasn't her child and a young female fully capable of handling herself. So she didn't feel that bad about Iria's state. Most of her worry was on the female neko. What was the young girls purpose here and was she paying for her stay? Janet was only thinking all this for a few seconds before she raised her hand to look at her watch. "The chefs should be working on the Halloween dinner." She added. The morning meal should have been cleaned up by now and sooner or later dinner smells would pass through the halls. She wondered if Bob was still upset with her or if that young chef handed him the note she gave her. "If there's anything special you like to eat I'll make sure its prepared." She pulled the cloth from his face and held it in her lap. 'The day has just been so busy that time just flew by...it's already the evening of halloween.'
User ImageAt the foot of the old stairs leading into Elysium Inn stood three girls gazing up at its frightening appearance on Halloween eve. The sun vanished earlier on but the sky still showed poof of its presences for the sky was not pitch black but a soft shade of navy blue. This time of day was never frightening but what was about to happen made the bones of the two girls shake. Standing in front of the crumbling and worn building was truly something that made a human heart thunder. Every human knew of this place and no one dared to venture inside to see what the big deal was. There were so many stories this young girl, fairly new to the city, have heard of this place. The tall female standing in the middle looked upon the eyesore of a building with a smile. Her large brown eyes moved from window to window noting that they were darkly tinted and the walls were covered in chipping black paint. The place defiantly needed a new paint job but from where she stood it looked as if it would fall apart if someone were to even lean on it. The young lady standing in the middle didn't quite look like a female. In fact she looked more like a boy with her tall figure and boyish body. The only thing that partly saved her from being completely mistaken as a boy was her gentle face. Then again, there were some boys who had the female touch. It was no surprised that she attracted so many females and her Halloween costume didn't help too much either.

She was dressed as a police officer with freshly polished male dress shoes, pressed black pants and a navy blue short-sleeved polo top. The word “Police” was written on top of the left breast pocket, and a police badge attached on the left arm. She was also paired with a black holster belt with a gold buckle. To complete the entire police outfit, she wore a police cap, which also contained a badge on it. Clipped to her holster were a pare of handcuffs and hanging through a loop on her hip was a baton. She looked like a slim male police officer while her two friends where police as well. Yet, they chose to ware outfits that showed they were females. One wore a navy dress with heels and the same extras. While the other wore shorts and long high heel boots. They were looking at the 'male' officer trying to read the smile on her face. Unique was always a hard person to read and just when they thought they understood her they were spun around and sent back three spaces for not understanding. She was mind baffling and this stunt would prove it. For what started as a joke became reality. They were only joking when they dared her to enter the 'Dead Zone' for a few hours and return. They didn't think she would do it and seemed to think nothing of it on Halloween night. This of all nights was the scariest and the cold wind only aided in its creepy sitting.

One of the girls reached out her small hand and grabbed Unique's arm and tugged her closer. "You don't have to do this Unique," she uttered softly as if something on the inside would hear her and charge out after them. The second girl nod her head in agreement and pressed herself firmly on Uniques right side. "She's right. This isn't worth your life. Do you know like, how many girls would like, hate us if you never came back." The two girls watched Unique's face for some other reaction then a smile but they didn't get anything different. The female holding onto Uniques arm squeezed it making Unique look at her. "I know I don't have to do this..." Unique's gentle smile never faded, "...but I can honestly say I'm curious to check it out. Don't worry so much Momo." Even in the night she could see the soft blush on the girls cheeks. These were two girls that were constantly following Unique around. No matter how hard she would try to politely get rid of them nothing seemed to work. Unique wasn't the type to start yelling or be rude and tell someone to scram. She could tolerate their being around her. However, they were only around because they wanted some type of relationship with her. Unique never sought for one and didn't know if she were into girls or boys. She might as well say it was both because she found them both to be attractive in their own way. Yet, she wasn't seeking after anything and she needed some time alone. Going into this old building looked like a chance of getting rid of the pretty ladies clung so tightly on her arms.

They were all silent. Unique was waiting for them to say something else to get her to not go inside. After a while the angel could sense that they have given up. They have been trying to talk her out of it the whole walk over to this dead building. All they wanted to do now was go out and party but Unique was less interested in going somewhere she wouldn't have a peace of mind. She was even more reluctant to watch these two girls drink until they were stumbling around like chickens with their heads cut off. When they said nothing more Unique began to walk forward. She felt them both squeeze her arms but when Unique pressed forward they let go with shaky hands. Halfway up the stairs she turned to look at them with her same warm smile. "If I die then it was my time to go," she chuckled, "But I've enjoyed the time we've spent together. See ya soon." She waved with a peace sign and walked up to the stainless steel doors and pressed on them since they were missing their handles. As the door opened she could hear the quick clicking of heels fading off. She smirked and pushed the door open just enough so that she could slide inside.

Inside the inn her eyes widen. Was she dead already? She held the front rim of her police hat and pushed it back some so she could look around. Unique smiled after taking in the beauty of this deceiving place and looked at the two people standing in front of a desk. This place looked like some type of business building. She wasn't expecting there to be people inside it either. She couldn't help but to star at Val and Gesso. Was this their place? Would they harm her for coming inside? She was definitely concerned about her health but it didn't show on her loving face. If anything she looked as if she were welcoming them into her own space. Should she say hello? She looked from left to right and walked away from the front door to the center of the lobby floor not quite sure what to do with herself. Waiting seemed like the best thing to do. She pulled her hat down tighter and lowered her smile a tad. "Uh um...Happy Halloween?" She shrugged her shoulders playing the part even if she didn't have a bag of candy on her. Not considering that they may mistake her for a real police officer.

Aman gazed at the woman for a moment, taken in by her appearance, her expression was so kind. The sort he couldn't remember seeing for a very long time, but that thought came at a price. It was then that Aman didn't actually know where he was, how he got here or much of anything. What he could remember felt like distant memories and the rest... whenever he tried to remember something all that came to mind was a faint tune, short and playing over and over again. It was a comforting tune but really rather distracting. But Aman and his condition allowed him to draw his own conclusions. He didn't seem to be bothered by this occurrence and only offered a weak smile in return to Janet. It was indeed weak, the sort that only a boy with as little strength as Aman could manage it.

Aman didn't move or shift as he was laid down on the bed(which was one of the most comfortable that Aman had ever been on) he simply did not have the strength too. Though he was somewhat disappointed to be have left Janet's arms, her warmth most comforting besides the fact that he seemed to have broken out in a fever. Though that wasn't unusual for Aman either and he had actually gotten used to the random rapid increases in heat and breaking out in a sweat. That was another thing he could remember, a deep chill, something he hadn't actually experienced before. It didn't stem from any certain memory, it was just there. Janet's appearance didn't seem to bother Aman either, though he couldn't recall seeing anything like her. Her long fluffy tail and black and white appearance, Aman couldn't say that he had actually seen a skunk before and in all fact didn't actually know what one was off the top of his head. But the way she smiled and spoke made Aman sure that she was a good person. His innocence allowing him that much comfort and open mindedness.

Aman watched her leave to the bathroom and for that moment he tried to collect himself, he had obviously come out of a long sleep and was a little disoriented from his fever. He could barely even speak in this condition. Aman passed out frequently but there where times where he feel into what could only be described as short coma's. Which happened when he frequently pushed himself and was always a bad sign. Aman could usually tell when this sort of thing happened just by the feeling he got when he woke up. Now that he was in a new and strange place it was all the more evident. Janet was back rather quickly and Aman was glad, he didn't like to think too much about his condition. She explained how Aman had arrived and Aman finally thought he had the strength to talk.

Aman looked down as she wiped away the sweat and tears with the cool cloth. "I'm sorry..." he said, his voice was light and airy. His tone was weak and full of sorrow. It made him all the more pitiable. "It's my brother's fault... he has no doubt sent me off while he runs off to the horizon looking for someone to fix my condition..." Aman spoke slowly and quietly, more so out of habit than anything else. He also spoke a bit fancifully out of habit. He looked back up at Janet "Now I burden you instead... I'm sorry..." Aman looked at himself as a hindrance, his condition was difficult to deal with and was the cause of much grief and worry. This made him extremely self-conscious and incredibly apologetic. But he was also aware of how annoying it could be, thanks in part to his brother. So with the apologies out of the way, Aman could move on. "And... Thank you, Miss Janet." Aman said, testing out her name with an added prefix. "I am... not very hungry... Thank you..."

Aman had yet to give his own introduction, it was something that could not be put off. As weak as he obviously was, Aman had the gall to actually start moving so shortly after waking up. He was slow by all means, unbearably so to some. But even so he was pushing himself, which wasn't uncommon for Aman. Aman turned and inched forward so that his legs dangled off the side of the bed. The he used his arms to support himself as he let his feet touch the ground and ever so gradually allowed himself to stand. He took a moment after standing up, just to make sure he could stay up, then he took a few steps forward, each step taking a couple seconds to complete. Finally he turned around to face Janet again. He stood in a thin patchwork robe that was a too big for him, even the collar came down off of his shoulder, revealing a bit of his thin, pale and frail body. Slowly, Aman bent over, bringing one arm in and letting the other raise out, in one fanciful bow. "I am Aman Didrik Outridge..." No other information came to mind concerning his introduction, which was odd enough, he was sure his rehearsed introduction was longer.

Either way Aman didn't have much time to think about it as he hastily lost his balance as well as his strength and fell forward, landing on his shoulder. The fall wasn't too rough and Aman was still conscious, Aman managed to lift himself off the floor with his arms, his breathing was fast paced and shallow. On all fours Aman managed in between gasps "I'm... Sorry..."

"Always."

Gesso reached beneath his poncho, from beneath it he pulled a plain metal Zippo lighter. The lighter itself looked as if it had seen better days, the exterior covered in scratches. Though that would seem unimportant as Gesso effortlessly twirled it dexterously in his hand. So well that it appeared to dance through his fingers of it's own accord. Gesso did this as he approached Val, then, when he was close he enough, he opened the lighter with a flick of his wrist and turned the wheel to create the flame. He kept his arm extended and the flame alive long enough for Val to light her cigarette before letting himself close the lighter with another flick of his wrist. Spinning the lighter a few more times through his fingers he finally returned it to the underneath of his poncho. This sort of showboating wasn't uncommon for Gesso, even though this woman was quite the lovely dame he would have shown off like that for anyone. "I don't usually smoke, but a little fire is always handy." he pointed out, just trying to engage in some mild conversation.

Though a sound caught his attention, the sound of the front doors opening. He watched patiently the person enter, shooting her a warm smile. She wore a police uniform though he could tell she was no real officer of the law, though it was a pretty good costume to say the least. She had a boyish figure and anyone who did not spend most of their time observing people probably would have some difficulty distinguishing that she was in fact female. Gesso made it his job to watch people however, to look at the tiniest nuances, so of course he could tell, though it did take him a few moments. Even so, it's not like he was going to ruin the surprise or anything. "Happy Halloween to you too Officer!" Gesso replied with a friendly tone and much enthusiasm. It all might have seemed normal to her, if Gesso didn't immediately fall into his shadow right beneath his feet.

The shadow dashed out, up and around the walls until it reached just before the doorway leading into the Inn. Gesso then hopped out of it, some of the momentum carrying with him as he stumbled a bit forward and more towards the center of the lobby, stopping right at Unique's right. "I'm afraid the desk boy has run off, probably on some urgent business, it might be a wait before you can get a room." Gesso chuckled a bit, his warm smile and cheery attitude was enough of an indication that he was trying to have some fun with this newcomer. "But from what I can tell, I bet it would be worth the wait. This is certainly a nice place to stay for a spell." He said, walking over to Unique's left side so that he could pat her a bit roughly on the back with his one hand. It was certainly situations like these, when Gesso had an inkling, that he could turn out to be a bit... much... for people to handle. Gesso laughed again and took a few steps away from Unique, giving her a bit of space for now.

Sat there in a daze, her fingers being careful not to press too hard against the bandages, Sera couldn’t help but lose herself in past memories, the pain of those countless times reflecting in her eyes, whose golden shade dimmed to a murky amber. Strands of her blond hair fell across her face as she tilted her head ever so slightly forward, a few glowing embers dislodging themselves from around her head.
Upon hearing his words, she looked up a little, shooting him a brief glance as she came out of her daze; however her hand remained where it was, having a mind of its own as it moved tenderly over the wound in hope of speeding up the healing process. Her expression quickly adopted the usual carefree attitude as she looked the other way.
“Yeah… well… being selfish has saved me many times, so why should I worry.” Brushing off unpleasant thoughts, she looked back to Sono with a slight smile curling at the corner of her lips, “You heal quickly? That’s good. I’d be worried if you were gonna be stuck here on all hallows eve…” Another wicked grin flashing across her sweet face, she was looking forward for tonight, especially after all the ruckus that the two of them had caused to the CLOAKs this morning. They would undoubtedly be on the sharp look-out for anything abnormal, but with it being Halloween, that was where things got really mischievous. At least as far as Sera was concerned. Though once again she felt her emotions conflict, as just moments before she had been contemplating the past occasions where her actions had caused pain to the ones she loved and yet now she was looking forward to wreaking havoc (if the situation arose, if not, she would simply be going about her nightly business of club crawling with the added bonus of it being Halloween) To save herself from feeling like her head would split in two, Sera tended to just relax and ‘go with the flow’, which just happened to be her strongest urges and impulses; she liked to have fun, simple as that.

“Another Phoenix?” Snapping out of her thoughts for tonight, Sera turned around to fully stare at Sono, giving him her full attention and a serious look, though she noticed how he was looking away from her and at this point her hand sullenly withdrew its caress and she clenched her fingers into tight fists on her lap. Confusing and insane? That was exactly what Sera thought, this guy was actually saying he could ‘temporarily’ become a Phoenix himself! Did he know the implications of such an offer to her? Sera’s thoughts were racing ahead, going through every known possibility and outcome if what he was saying was true. She was aware that he could change his form, but for him to become a Phoenix, Sera couldn’t imagine being in the presence of another like herself, because it had always been impossible. She’d seen plenty of likenesses, beings with a few similarities, but never one who was on the same level as herself.

She must have sat there, stunned, for a good few minutes, her gaze distance and her body temp ever so slightly rising up. When she felt a prod on the tip of her nose, Sera blinked and parted her lips to speak, but when nothing came out, she just shook her head and looked at Sono, who was now lying down on the bed, a grin across his features.
“You can do that? No tricks? I mean… well… I’m not entirely sure what to say. Part of me wants to say yes, by all means go right on ahead… but then I’m also fully aware of what just exactly happens to me when I’m in the presence of another fire elemental. Before… when you were the Sono I met in the park, I was trying to be on my best behaviour, but most occasions, I tend to lose control of myself. Perhaps it’s not the best thing to happen tonight… but I would very much like to see you… as you say… become a Phoenix, even if it is only temporary.” Sera nibbled on her bottom lip, a smirk curving its way there, fire suddenly brightening her eyes; it was obvious she couldn’t wait to see the outcome of this offer, but she knew it would have to wait a little.
Jumping up from the bed, she stood directly in front of Sono, hands on her hips and staring down at him,
“In the meantime, if you try and pull a fast one on me, you’re going to have a very unpleasant stalker… But anyway, the sun’s going down, which means it is time to head out!” Her arm pumping in the air as she laughed, “I’ve gotta get changed into my costume for tonight as well, you’re coming by the way, so we need to head back to Elysium pronto.” The quick change of subject was Sera’s way to try and not linger on such a tantalising offer, she would definitely hold him to it, but she had to try and focus on something else before she would no doubt give in to her wild impulses. Two Phoenix with one city as their playground, things could get messy.
“Have you got a costume for tonight? Can I see it? You'll see mine when we get back to the Inn.” Sera grinned, acting more like a child, hyper with excitement for the coming events.

finally, the witch had succumbed to not being able to keep up with one or two of the man's sentences. It wasn't because she was ignoring him. oh no; well at least not purposely that is. Her eye's ran across the room, scanning for what she thought was a familiar scent, one of danger . . . one she'd more than likely regret running into should she make herself look noticeable. She was doing just that by looking like a worried bat out of hell, she she straightened up, and followed Richard into the coffee shop quietly. She leaned her self against the counter, happy that it wasn't busy like most popular coffee shops were, usually bustling with people in and out to get their morning brew; this one was relatively quiet in a much more positive way than one would think. It was enough to put a light smile on that face of her's anyways.

It wasn't until after Richard ordered that she decided to speak again. " Black huh ? I prefer sweet tastes as of now ~ " she grinned, her glossy cyan hues eying the menu above her like a child in a candy store. " I'll have the pumpkin spice please, large " she said to the woman as she walked off to retrieve their orders. Zephyrine pushed herself up into a stand, which compared to the man, she was about the just of his shoulder, however, her posture and elegant body allowed her to look two inches taller than her actual height, not that in this case it did her much justice. She looked the man over, he was around his forty's, and though he may have been older than her by many years, he was still rather attractive. He had an eye for apparel she couldn't deny this, for they practically had the same coat on, just different colors.

" Here you go " said the woman at the counter, placing the two cups of coffee on the counter in front of them. " That'll be eight - fifty " she said. Zephyrine blinked to snap out of her daze, " Oh right, my apologies " she said in a small huff, pulling out a pair of fives and handing them to the woman, telling her not to bother giving her the change or the receipt back. " Hopefully this makes up for my mistake of bumping into you ~ " the witch cooed, giving him a rather devilish small smile, as she offered him his coffee and began to turn her back from the counter, leaving with her coffee in her hands, awaiting Richard to follow her. " Let's hope we're fortunate enough to avoid the situation again, no ? " she said, laughing as she opened the door, Sonnellion curling around the witch's legs, staring up at Richard before nuzzling his face against her rather warm boots as they walked back out into the brisk weather.

The sun had set by the time her eyelids eventually fluttered open, revealing startling deep violet eyes, framed by dark lashes, there was a faint glow to her eyes, much like how an animals eyes shine at night, reflecting any light thrown into them. Strands of soft pink hair drifted across her face, as a gentle breeze danced through the air, the sound of leaves rustling reminded Isidora of the crashing waves of her homeland. Upon thinking that, it soon dawned on her that, after all the events that had taken place, she was no longer in her homeland. In fact, if her incantation had gone according to plan, then she should be finding herself on the island of Delos, well known to be the birthplace of the twin gods Artemis and Apollo.

There was a tightening in her stomach that was most unpleasant, Isidora gave a soft moan, her quiet voice echoing in the silence of the clearing. Regret was mixed into the dreaded sick feeling that nauseated her stomach, she thought about Isis and how she would be unhappy with the decision Isidora had chose. But Isidora had known deep down, that she was meant for greater things; not to be kept locked up like some caged bird. She had explained such things to Isis, unable to hide anything from her beloved Goddess, and Isis had told her to do what she felt was right.

“Well this certainly doesn’t ‘feel’ right…” She mumbled, moving her body slowly to kneel on all fours, the ground was cold and uncomfortable and she forced down any regret or homesickness that was beginning to surface. This was the right choice. Isidora had wanted to venture out into the world, all her life so far had been spent studying the other cultures and honing her skills in magic, she believed herself to be proficient enough to walk her own path in life.

With slow and steady movements, Isidora stood up and began meticulously brushing off the dirt and leaves that had accumulated upon her clothes and in her long tousled hair. The top half of her body was clad in a deep violet and gold top that ended just under her breasts, a diamond pattern cut upon the front to reveal a fair amount of cleavage and sleeves that flowed outwards around her wrists, upper arms left bare from the slashed design at her shoulders. The flowing skirt she wore was cut in the same design of violet and gold, hugging her curved hips closely, long slits running up either side to allow for better movement. Over the top of everything she wore a black silk robe, hemmed with gold and the symbol of her people embroidered in gold on the back; Tyet, the knot of Isis.
Glancing to the ground, beside her bare feet lay a black and gold gnarled staff, with an amethyst sphere firmly in place at the top, glowing softly in the dim light of evening. Isidora picked the staff up, feeling better once it was in her grasp, magic tingling through her fingers and up her arm. She flexed her awareness out, searching for the nearest ley line to tap into, there were a couple close to hand, the scent of burnt amber and redwood brushed past her nose and her hair lifted in a breeze that left the trees untouched. Briefly she wondered why the ley lines felt as if they had not yet been breached, they were brimming with energy having sat untouched for so long and they were so old, Isidora felt that through her awareness as she withdrew, having drawn enough magic to top her inner supply up, as well as store some within her staff.

Letting out a deep sigh, she looked around herself fully for the first time since awakening; it seemed she had landed in a forest, a fairly quiet one at that. There weren’t even any Centaurs or Nymphs on guard, which she thought very odd, but as she opened up her senses to the surroundings, she could hear voices in the distance somewhere.
Patting a small velvet pouch at her side which was filled with enough gold coins to last her a while until she settled down in a new profession; she had a range of skills and could not wait to start this new life. Walking through the forest, happily humming to herself, she thought of many possibilities and scenarios in which she could demonstrate her talents. She may not have been chosen to be a Kuja Warrior back home, but that did not mean she could not fight, in fact Isidora was rather bloodthirsty when it came to battles, a whole other side to her would emerge at the prospect of a good fight.
“With my magic, I could very well be a Demon Slayer; they are always in need of members.” The gentle smile upon her lips faltered a little when she eventually left the cover of the trees and entered an open spaced area beside a lake, there were groups of strangely dressed people milling about, loud unfamiliar music blasted through the air, the scent of cooked meat wafted to her nose, but what had stopped Isidora was the sight of some young males. She chided herself of course, for she had known that she would come across the male species, and yet it was still such a shock to actually see them face to face. Having spent all her life on an island solely inhabited by females, she had never met, nor even heard much about the male species, they were like a strange myth to Isidora. She didn’t quite understand though what these people were doing, it did not look like any festival she had ever been to, their clothing and music was most odd and there was not a mythic being in sight! Well… as far as she could make out that is, for occasionally she thought she spotted one, there were a few walking around who looked like some kind of Troll, and were those Elves? Isidora had to reassure herself a few times that there were no Demons here, despite what she saw, for if there were then these people would surely not be laughing so carefree. And when a male approached her to comment on her ‘Exotic Witch’ costume- whatever that was- Isidora gave a brief smile, not understanding what he meant, but kindly told him that she was not wearing a costume, before then excusing herself, as she didn’t feel entirely ready to face the male species just yet.

Halloween was another thing that Isidora had never encountered before, and as she walked slowly through the loud party that was starting up in centre Park, she felt more and more confused, but was no where near realising that the world she currently dwelled in was not Olympus anymore.

It was impossible not to have a good time around Daemyn "Roller D" Kinsley.

It wasn't just because D was a fun guy, or because he knew how to have fun. It's because his good mood was infectious, it rubbed off on you whether you liked it or not. At least that's what most people thought anyways. When D was in the club, everyone felt it, anyone who entered with the slightest bad mood left with a smile on their face. D was a manner of empath, he could pick up on a persons emotions just from proximity and give them a shot of happiness if he so desired. Even sometimes when he didn't even try. His good mood spread through air with or without his willing it. Especially when the music was playing, which it never wasn't.

Little was known of Roller D amongst the populace that gave him the name. When D first hit the scene he was a talented dancer that seemed to bring life to the clubs. More and more stories circulated about Roller D, all as fictitious as they come. But D was a little amused each time a new rumor reached his years. D hadn't even been around that long but he was a shining star in the pitch black. He had a style about him that couldn't be matched at times he was even mystifying. If there was one thing the people could agree on, it was the Roller D was the music. There was no doubt in anyone's mind that if D tried, he could entrance this whole city and bring it to life with music. Though of course D himself thought some of these people might be exaggerating a bit. D kept his distance from people not because he didn't like them but because of his true nature. D was after all a machine, a complex one at that made from decades of hard work. Even the very code that wrote him into existence was put into this world due to the synaptic data of humans. But even then he was still very confused about their nature so he did his best to distance himself from them.

Dressed in white leisure suit with a black vest beneath it, unbuttend down his chest a ways, long white bell bottoms and of course D's custom skates. It was a disco look that would earn a few concerned stares on the streets any other day, but it was Halloween after all, so it was as normal as anything on this day. Currently D wore a pair of blue tinted shades, the case of which jangled and clattered with the others connected to his black belt. The case matched the blue tint of his shades, next to it was a green case, a red case, a yellow case and a purple case. Black fingerless gloves adorned his hands and on his head was his own custom headphones. The headphones where very large DJ style headphones, a solid white which many dials adorning the ear pieces. The dials where not labeled and manipulated things only D knew. Green lights also adorned the ear pieces just above certain dials.

D had been making his way through the city streets, blasting down the sidewalk while on his skates while his music played. Most people he passed walked on a little happier than before. Even on this exciting holiday of Halloween. Even as D dashed on at incredible speeds, he managed to effortlessly swerve through the crowds of people, even putting a little style into it. Some people panicked a little as D came at them, but his nature calmed them before he even reached them and he easily passed on by. The whole street could feel D's presence as he made his own way through. D was anything but subtle, which could probably be told just by his attire.

D was making his way to central park, D had heard that a party was happening there and it wasn't like D to miss a good party if there was good music and good people. D came up to the large central park and thanked god for the paved walkways, D didn't really like walking, it was too slow for his tastes. Besides, D couldn't be Roller D if he wasn't Rolling, Right? D could feel the energy of the party as he closed in on it. He was as excited as ever as he closed in. A good time was to be had and he certainly going to have it. Some people recognized D and whistled at him, D could only wave, but made his way into the party. But it was only a short ways in that he felt something that made him turn look around. He could feel something contrasting with the party. It wasn't a direct contrast to the happy energy that was bursting out of the party, it was just something different.

D looked around, trying to figure out where and what it was. D managed to pinpoint an exotic looking woman with long pink hair. She sure was a sight, as far as D was concerned. But from her he could feel a great load of confusion. It was really starting to bug him, but if there was anything he could do he was about to find out. D Rolled over to her and the around in front of her, skating slowly backwards so that he could look down at her through his shades. D was a little bit taller than her but even more so with his skates on. "Hey Babe." He stated clearly and cheerily over the loud sounds of the party. "You lost or somethin'? Anything I can help you with?" He stated with the best of intentions. It would be a strange question if D wasn't mystically in tune with other peoples emotions as he was. Unfortunately the woman before him didn't know that. He gave her a friendly smile, the music blasting through his headphones incited the natural empathic reaction of letting D's own Joy try to wash over the woman before him.

~This post takes place a little after the current timeline; therefore doesn't dictate the actual time. It's still currently at the sunset or possibly a little after! I think!~

The gorgeous reds and oranges of yet another New City sunset poured into the horizon as the darkened swirls of a cloudy Halloween night became predominant in the skyline. The Shopping district below had began to set up lights and eerie decorations aplenty along every window sill and rooftop in preparation for one of their biggest marketing holidays. People were running from various shops in search of enough sugary goods to rot their otherwise flawless teeth while decorated in the most bizarre of costumes. You could stop and see Fred Flintstone waiting at a stoplight on the nearby corner, while on the other hand there was Captain America standing in the local flower shop to your right. Things weren’t as innocent as candy and Fred Flintstone either, as a little farther down the street in one of the many shadowy alleys a woman was having her blood literally licked tenderly off her neck from a “vampire”. This man was certainly no real vampire like Vincent or Nevermore, just a wannabe freak in fangs and makeup who enjoyed the taste of blood; not to mention the so called “victim” who also enjoyed such revolting signs of affection. Halloween certainly seemed to bring out the twisted evil that rested so comfortably beneath the surface of the easily penetrated human “soul”. There was at least one person not dressed for this fanciful occasion, a young woman who was jamming to her adorable pink nano as she jogged on one of the less crowded sidewalks. There was a fine glaze of sweat over her usually delicate skin, but she seemed to be enjoying herself as a dazzling smile lit her rosy lips while her tantalizingly zestful yellow pupils continued to keep a stern watch on her path ahead; never knowing when a CLOAK agent might pop out of the shadows as opposed to a drunk Inuyasha.

Although the woman’s body had officially stopped aging at about twenty five, her delicate sweetness and dainty features couldn’t have looked a day over twenty one. Her body was suitably built well for her height with just enough curves in the right places to keep any lookers interested. She was naturally gifted with luxurious rosy pink hair that she kept in a cute ponytail in back that softly bounced against her skull with every step she took, quietly complemented by her lighter complexion and previously mentioned ominously affectionate yellow eyes that fluttered with such appeal that it often drew helpless victims into her relentless stare. She absolutely adored being fashionable if not somewhat excessive, often dressing in such exquisite fashions that often drew more attention than she needed with CLOAK constantly raining on her parade. However, there would be no exotic tribal arm bracelet from Brazil or flourishing mink fur coat from Russia on this particular Halloween. No, today was not a day for extravagance ironically. Instead, she decided to rock a pink mini-dress with a black tank top underneath (can’t reveal too much!) followed by jeans and some pretty white sneakers she had bought from the same district only yesterday. Her name was Umiko Kigame, and she was the Witch of Seasons.

Umiko had just had just rounded her sixth block when she decided to take a break, huffing slightly under her breath as she wiped a few beads of sweat from her forehead before clutching her knees. Unfortunately, the witch was not simply jogging about to observe the human species at the peak of their stupidity as she might have desired to, but she was actually lost within the large metropolis that was New City. She had met a grizzled werewolf biker with a large hammer on the outskirts of town a few days ago, who had given her advice on where to lay low from the heat that had been tracking her for several months; something about a tattered building called the Elysium Inn. She would have asked for more specific directions had not the werewolf took one last drag on his cigarette and left her coughing in a fit of dust as his motorcycle sped off full speed ahead down the highway. In retrospect, she probably should have turned the man into a warthog. She placed a single hand on her tilted hip as she scanned the area ahead, only to find she was still surrounded by nothing but brightly lit stores and costumed citizens; certainly no one of the supernatural variety to help her with directions. This couldn’t be right anyway, she thought, as the werewolf said the hotel was located in a quiet district. The witch was starting to grow extremely frustrated (and that was always a bad thing), and yet, that same delicious grin found its way back onto her lips as she spotted a dark alley across the road. She happily shuffled to the next song on her Ipod before jogging across the empty street and peering into the listless shadows that awaited her in the dark and damp alleyway. Thankfully, there wasn’t even the faintest hint of creepy emo’s trading blood samples or doing other various weird things in her new secret spot; as things may have gotten complicated if there were any humans around. She knew that what she was about to do was completely idiotic and ill advised with all of those agents sure to be roaming around, but doing mischievous things was a part of Halloween, right?

Her big yellow orbs lit up the darkened corners of the alley as she finally stopped jogging yet again when she felt she was completely hidden within the nice veil the night provided in these kinds of situations. It had been a while since she had done this, as realized by her senses that sent a light wave of adrenaline up her spine as she cranked up the music to full volume and let her eyelids flutter to a close. Before you count tick five seconds off of the giant clock in the Southern district, the witch had blasted off into the air at such a rapid tempo that nearby fire escapes rattled and various trashcans fell to the ground. It wasn’t a very loud occurrence despite all of the rattling however, as the only other sound a nearby pedestrian might have heard was muffled giggles from the witch at the utter joy she felt from the cool breeze pressing against her cheeks as she soared high above the buildings to the point that the once freaky Halloween goers looked like nothing more than colorful blobs. Umiko hovered there for a moment, now both hands on her hips as she blew a few disjointed strands of hair out of her face so she could observe the scene below. Say what you will about the filthy humans, but they put on a good show when they wanted to. It was almost slightly awing to see how well the city was lit, a tentative yellow glow that seemed to envelop the buildings in such a dazzling hue that the skyscrapers towards the center of town almost sparkled under such majestic lighting. It reminded her of the way Wendy saw London while floating with her beloved Peter Pan. She shook these thoughts from her mind, placing a single fingertip to her cheek as she concentrated on what to do next. She had an uncanny ability to sense supernatural beings, and surely at least one of them knew something about the Elysium Inn. So, after changing her Ipod one last time to something more relaxing, Umiko floated with her arms and legs outstretched above the city while giggling and searching for something supernatural to her likings.

Sono blinked helplessly, merely observing with flushed cheeks as her warm palm rubbed gently over the bandages currently covering the wound on his bicep. It embarrassed him to have such a gorgeous young woman touching him with such care, but he continued to say nothing and simply averted his gaze. He did wonder why such a wicked smirk smeared across her expression at the thought of him being stuck here for the night, but his eyebrows visibly raised a few inches at the mix of shock and excitement intertwined into her tone when he mentioned creating another phoenix. At first he was slightly amused at how stunned it left the woman beside him, but the more he contemplated the offer, the more he realized how extraordinary it was. The phoenix was a legendary creature of myth who had wandered the deserts and various civilizations for thousands of years; alone, as one might expect from a mythological beast of such worldly fame. So, the chance to spend time with a companion of equal ability must have been a word beyond enticing for young Seraphina. A warm smile spread over his own lips as he noted the almost girlish shyness wash over her as she tried to balance the choices in her mind; ultimately giving in to her fiery desires.

“I wouldn’t have offered to do so if I couldn’t really do it! That wouldn’t make sense, now would it? Like I said, it will take me a little while to do so for various reasons.”
He said with a nod, reaching under the bed and pulling out two very different items. The first one was a replacement shirt for the one that had its sleeve ripped; apparently having several long sleeved white collared shirts. She seemed to be lost in her excitement as he pulled the black t-shirt over his chest and threw it to the floor before slipping into the fresh white shirt (with only a little wincing from his injury). The second item was a rather sizable piece of wood, completely clean of any excess branches poking out of it in any direction; just a straight and smooth chunk of wood. Now that he had his appearance sorted out, he set the piece of wood into his lap and reached into his pocket and pulled out a short black handled whittling knife. He didn’t seem startled when she jumped from the bed to stand dominantly over him, calmly placing the knife in his right hand and putting the piece of wood in the other. A lone smirk curled on his lips as she spoke, his attention fully on the wood as he began to shave off the bark’s skin with his knife. “There’s no need to worry about losing control. I know how to handle things when they get heated…trust me.” He chuckled lightly as certain things around him started to blur, even Sera’s voice, and leaving only the carved bark to his attention as the wood began to take an outer shape. “You’re already my unpleasant stalker…but I don’t understand what you’re talking about. Why do you need to change into a costume and what’s tonight? Maybe I don’t want to go back to the Inn! It’s a fairly long walk, after all.” He pouted slightly, acting like a young child who was preoccupied with a new toy that captured their imagination to the point of bad behavior. Although, there may have been a slight inkling in the back of his thoughts as to what her ‘costume’ might be and if she was really inviting him to see it up close and personal.

“No, I don’t have any kind of costume to speak of. I might be dressed up as a phoenix, I guess.” He said after holding up the wood to show her his progress, now taking the full outer circular shape of a mask. It was an understatement to say Sono was fast, as his strokes with the knife at least moved five times per second over the wood; now focusing on the ‘eye sockets’. As they took shape, the spirit managed to somehow capture the flirtatious intensity within Sera’s eyes in the wood. The eyes were the easy part, as they were the most detailed and therefore the easiest to sculpt for a skilled craftsman. Unfortunately, it was the other details that would take the longest length of time to complete; and unbeknown to the phoenix, the real challenge was preparing his body for another transformation so soon after the last one."I don't understand this Halloween thing one bit."He was most likely stalling for time.
