Just as Janet manage to slip Aman's key into the doorknob of room two she paused to look down at Aman again. This time she heard him whisper under his breath about a brother. The ghost had told her that she couldn't like me remember anything from his past so, was his brother apart of his past? The skunks eye's narrowed just a degree as she pondered what it was he could have been dreaming of. However, she didn't think for long after noticing that he was sweating in his sleep. Was he hot? She leaned her head over and pressed her furry cheek on his damp forehead. Her current situation was certainly odd because she couldn't ever remember a point in her life where she cared so much for children. She couldn't remember anything outside of Elysium Inn. She couldn't remember having a mother, father, or a childhood. The common concept of not knowing between her and Aman was perhaps the fact that she couldn't remember anything beyond three years ago. The mysterious ghost words had no effect on Janet until she started to think of her own life. Was she meant to not know her past too? 'It's probably for the best.' She quickly told herself and removed her head from the small boys head. Her white fur lay flat on her cheek from the moister it collected from the boys head. She bent her knees a little to make it easier to twist and turn the key to open the door. She removed the key from the key hole as she softly pushed the door open. Janet's thoughts were still on the blank past she couldn't uncover. She couldn't even uncover the secrets of her life with imagination. Any attempt was shut down by an outer force she was unaware of. She turned to the side, so that she wouldn't hit Aman's feet or head against the doorframe. Once she was in the room she lightly kicked the door closed with the back of her foot. She sighed and looked around the empty two bed room. It was spotless thanks to the fine maids she haired. She smiled, walking across the carpet floor next to the large bed. There were plenty of pillows for anyone to adjust to their own comfort. She looked at the small item on the center of the bed and smiled. Her eyes glanced down on the boy as she leaned over to place in him into the bed. Their eyes met and Janet couldn't move for some peculiar reason. It had to be the large blue jewels sparkling up at her. Or the fact that for a split second she thought of him as her son. She always thought of everyone under her care as her children but the feeling she got was one stronger, genuine, the real deal almost. Yet, her thoughts quickly took over reminding her that such a thing couldn't be. She didn't give life to this boy and he did not have her blood. Anyone could see that by looking at him. The awe in her eyes phased away and replaced by a natural look a mother would give that said good morning without words.
What was she suppose to say? Her warm smile never faded as she contemplated the words to use. While she carefully rest his back against the large pillows she finally figured out what to say. "Good to see you awake kiddo," she chuckled softly removing her arms from under him so that his light body could sink into the soft comforters. "Had me really worried for a second there." She stood up straight and placed her hand on her round hip. Her tail wrapped lightly around her legs as she turned to walk to the bathroom. "Sit tight I'll get a cool wash cloth." The skunk glanced over her shoulder with a smile and disappeared in the bathroom. Soon after the soft flick of the light switch the soft hum of the vent started but only a second after it was turned off. Janet's sliver and gold eyes quickly looked across the bathroom wall and pulled down a hand towel. Within the next minute the skunk was turning the bathroom lights out and walking from the bathroom with a damp white towel in her hands. "You can call me Janet," she exhaled as she sat down next to him. "A good friend of mines brought you to me and asked me it I could take care of you." She smiled and reached out to damp his forehead gently rubbing the cloth across his skin. "Are you hungry?" Her hand tapped his cheek as her tail rolled onto the bed.
Her ears flicked ever so slightly. There was a lot going on around the inn and it almost pained her that she couldn't properly handle everything. At times she wished she could clone herself and handle the stair incident more properly. Not only did she leave her best maid on the floor but she ignored the fact that she hadn't seen the young neko around the inn before. Such events nagged her to the core and she would have to check back on Iria soon. It wasn't as if she didn't care about Iria, it was the simple fact that she knew Iria was a tough girl and sometimes a parent had to let a child handle a fall on their own. If she babied them what good would her actions be in the long run. It was also the fact that Iria wasn't her child and a young female fully capable of handling herself. So she didn't feel that bad about Iria's state. Most of her worry was on the female neko. What was the young girls purpose here and was she paying for her stay? Janet was only thinking all this for a few seconds before she raised her hand to look at her watch. "The chefs should be working on the Halloween dinner." She added. The morning meal should have been cleaned up by now and sooner or later dinner smells would pass through the halls. She wondered if Bob was still upset with her or if that young chef handed him the note she gave her. "If there's anything special you like to eat I'll make sure its prepared." She pulled the cloth from his face and held it in her lap. 'The day has just been so busy that time just flew by...it's already the evening of halloween.'
