Saria kept walking towards the beach. So far the two gentlemen had not followed her, which was good. But she knew that her isolation would only last so long.
She hit the beach, kicking off her shoes behind her and abandoning them as she stepped into the sand. It was warm from the sun, and the sounds of the waves crashing was soothing. Seashells spotted the shore and glistened with moisture.
She paused for a moment, looking out into the waters - then to the forest - and then she looked over her shoulder back towards the manor. It looked so dark, so heavy. Like the house itself was carrying the weight of centuries of memories.
I can't do this, she thought to herself. Her eyes again to the forest, it was clear she was wrestling with something in her mind, trying to decide what to do. She couldn't help but shake the feeling that she didn't belong here anymore -- but at the same time, no matter what she did, she always ended up back at the Heartless. Always. Every time. Sometimes she would be gone for years, but she always ended up at this place again. What was the point in running if she knew she'd end up here again?
Well, he was the point. Saria smirked, inwardly laughing at how cheesy that sounded even to herself. But she can't do this without him. It was that simple. She glanced down to her wrist, at the charm bracelet that dangled off of it. One of the charms was a small orb, a gift from Leo, a portal popper. She fiddled with it between her fingers for a moment, racking her brain for the information Mohan had given her, and also what she managed to read about, concerning Dimensional Dementia.
She needed to find Ralic and Melissa, and she was willing to try different versions of them if need be. She twisted the charm, a fiery portal popped open, and she stepped through.
