~~~~~Azazel usually tried not to be that negative about the situation but Gil was basically right. "Well with a fresh perspective maybe we'll figure something out." He tried his best to be positive about it, letting himself get depressed would hardly help his situation. Curtis at least seemed to be along the same mindset for the moment. "Growing things in the garden, training, learning new types of dances, learning how to cook, learning to play instruments, failing at writing a book, to name a few." He had actually listed some of the ways they had been keeping themselves entertained. "and those are all assuming you don't have access to the outside for any period of time." The last three of those months they had been stuck inside but for the rest of it, the time where they had been with other people and had been able to go outside to try to find things for Cartesia they had been able to at least have a bit of fun exploring alien worlds.
She pondered, biting on her lower lip. The door was still on the outside, if someone were to walk in would that not create a passage but for a moment?
"Has anyone ever stood in the doorway when someone else was entering? Can it be kept open with a foreign object?" She asked Azazel hoping relentless ideas would not lead to endless rejection. She looked tot he wolf now. "Are you really 'comfortable' here?" Gilrin was asking honestly and hoped her would answer the same.
The girl did not want to be trapped in here forever, who would? She had seen people turn on others and judging by the eerie nature and dead bodies, this place could turn people ugly quick.
Curtis' expression, in the short amount of time that Azazel had been speaking about pastimes, went from a false brand of an optimistic smile into a disbelieving glower. Not excluding a jaw drop when the garden was mentioned again. His ideas of pastimes were chatting with peers, enjoying a card game, observing a race, enjoying fine company, and things of that nature. He wasn't naive in the sense that he expected those things here, but not many of what Azazel listed really appealed to him. He visualized himself going mad within a month. "...The dancing sounds fun." He ended up muttering.
The garden is what caught his attention most though. Until that moment he hadn't thought about food exactly, or his carnivorous preferences. Or anything item consumable for that matter. A small list of everything he used in his daily life rattled through his head. Oh lord. Cologne.
"Heh. Comfortable..."
He sounded unsure of himself. "Well...it has become suddenly apparent that there will be a lot of rather large, unanticipated changes."
~~~~~Azazel nodded yet again, he had even done so himself in the past. "The door can sometimes close with enough force to break objects if you try to hold it open too long but you can slip by when someone is coming in usually. It doesn't make much difference if you do it though, once Cartesia has you it can bring you along with it when it leaves." He supposed that was better then not being to leave at all, but people usually did not come inside often enough for waiting at the door to be a viable option for slipping outside. He would have said as much , but he did not want to discourage her even more. "I'm sure it will let us outside soon, the fact that it brought you in probably means it is going to act like it was before we were stuck here alone." Azazel's idea of a fun day often included several hours of reading worked into it at some if not several points, he knew someone people did not think that way but he found it strange. "I'm sure we can find something for you to do to keep from going crazy." He smiled again and motioned to the stairs. "I can show you the greenhouse I suppose, it's really only creepy sometimes, there is a good chance it's relatively normal at the moment." Airi was probably starting to get a little lonely down there, he felt bad for having taken even this long now that he thought about it.

Due to an unfortunate incident shortly after her first birthday, a young fairy had been raised in the human realms by a vampire coven until it's demise at the hands of a group of vampires hunters. Luckily for her, she was saved by the man who would soon after adopt her as his sister, train her as an assassin and later appoint her as his successor as the leader of the Megalith Organization. During some of her free time at the Megalith she researched her past only to be surprised when she found out the truth. It was that truth that lead her back to the arms of her birth parents and the city of Solas. Despite being the fairy equivalent of 21, because they'd already lost her once, and they didn't want to lose her again, her parents were extremely careful as to her safety, though she was occasionally allowed back to the human realms to visit her friends.

That however wasn't how the fairy found Cartesia, The Wandering Inn…

The city of Solas in Réimse Sí over the past few days had been battered with a nasty summer storm resulting in the fairy princess Sabrielian - Sabriel for short - Liraela Megalith unable to escape from the castle and down into the city streets.
It therefore came as a relief to her when the storms abated and she was able to slip from her rooms to lose herself among the cities other residents who were also taking advantage of the break in the weather to get some much needed shopping done.

As much as she loved her birth parents, she hated them for the restrictions that they put in place around her which is why she had to escape from the castle in secret for she'd never be able to experience the city properly under the watchful gaze of at least 12 armed guards despite her own extensive training and ability to hold her own in a fight.

Now fairy architecture, is designed to reflect the nature around it, so it came as a surprise to Sabriel when she rounded a corner to find an old Victorian Era styled building wedged awkwardly between a blacksmiths and a potters.
"What the hell is that doing here?"
Unfortunately for the raven haired young woman, her curiosity always seemed to get the better of her so she climbed the steps and pushed open the door, her almond eyes narrowed.

What she wasn't expecting was for the door to snap shut behind her closing off her escape back to Réimse Sí.
"NO!!"
Whirling around she started hammering on the section of wall that the door had once existed in as if she'd be able to break her way through the plasterboard to reveal the exit below.

Airi waiting until Azazel had led the new guests out of sight then concentrated as best she could on moving all the dust in the room at once. Under normal circumstances it would have been a simple thing to do, maybe summon up a controlled gust of wind or something, but in this case she eventually had to give up on it and just sort of levitate small sections at a time. Instead of throwing the dust into a trash can she entertained herself by blowing the dust into the fireplace, causing each pile to flare up and burn away. It took her several minutes to finish the entire room, all in all it would save alot of time, even if she had hoped for it to take a few seconds it was still significantly easier then if it had been cleaned mundanely. She nodded to herself slightly then hurried across the room when the teapot began to make a loud whistling noise, the water was boiling. She poured the water into a slightly smaller pot then placed a few large spoons of loose tea leaves into the pot just as another woman entered the room. "Oh dear.." She did not consider herself very good at explaining the Inn, she probably should have had Azazel stay down here. The only reason she had even suggested he go up with the new guests was because she had assumed no one new would show up. "Ah...Welcome, you're probably going to want to sit down." She hoped the new guest would not blame her, standing behind the bar like this did make her seem a bit more official then if she had been on the other side. Then again she was rather young to be a bartender, so maybe she would just as easily figure her unimportant.

Hearing a voice behind her, Sabriel spun around her hands going to the fans sheathed at her sides off of a wide intricately designed belt hung with multiple pouches and her body instinctively tensing up in a defensive position.

Realizing that her would-be attacker was a teen girl, she relaxed her position slightly.
Experience and training had taught her never to underestimate someone regardless of their age or size, especially when at the human equivalent of 21 she was only 1.2 meters tall against the average person.
Slowly brushing a loose strand of her jet black hair she tilted her head and narrowed her eyes.
"Aren't you a bit young to be behind there?"

Her clothing allowed her to move with a cat-like grace across the space between the wall where the door to her world had once been and the bar where the girl was standing.
Her dress was effectively a white sun dress that fell to the knees teamed with her fondly dubbed "utility belt," black leggings that came to mid-calf and black ballet flat type shoes.
Clothing more frequently seen in the human realms rather than the fairy ones, but still comfortable, pretty and practical.
If someone looked carefully, the dress only just hid straps around each thigh adorned with a second set of sheaths, this time carrying daggers instead of fans.

With a little bit of practiced skill she found her way up on to one of the bar stools on the opposite side of the bar to the stranger accepting her invite to sit down.

~~~~~Airi was slightly amused by the way this woman was apparently on edge enough to have a momentary fear of someone just talking. Then again that might mean she might be jumpy enough to blame her for this, she would have to put some effort into being nice. "No need for weapons, I'm not going to hurt you." The fact that she even needed to say such a thing made her smile, the woman while clearly older then her was actually shorter then she was. It made Airi feel tall, something she very rarely felt. "I'm just making tea, do you want some?" She motioned to the pot she was placing on a dish towel she had put on the bar to avoid damaging the wood. While she was well aware that what she was making hardly made it appropriate for a young girl to be behind a bar under normal circumstances but given the situation she did not particularly care about things like that. "You're probably going to need it." She had said the last statement significantly more ominously then she had intended to.
"It will let you outside, but it has methods of pulling you back in. Like summoning...?" Shortly after asking, he essentially answered his own question in his thoughts. They reminded him of how he ended up at the door of this place in the beginning. He actually didn't recall much other than seeing the house from afar, and the door slamming behind him. Not really anything you could consciously fight against. Clever house...
"Well, to speak of the Devil!" His ears swiveled. Amidst the talk between Azazel and Gilrin of squeezing through the door just as someone entered, he heard the shout of 'No!'
Admiring the irony, no matter the circumstance, he commented "It sounds like we have company down stairs." He leaned over the stair's railing, looking down what they had just ascended to get to arrive at the library. "And they already missed half the tour."
"The weapons come with the territory. They're like bears in the woods. You can't get rid of them."
As most of her life had been spent living and training with an assassin's organization that was also her adoptive family, it had been ingrained to Sabriel that she should never go anywhere without her weapons.
The fans that sat at her sides while pretty and ladylike were suitable for even the most formal events despite their metal construction and the fact that they were also a weapon.
Of course at the same time the rule "never go anywhere without your weapons" had been ingrained into her, the rule "don't trust strangers" had also been effectively tattooed to her brain.
This meant that despite the other young woman's intentions she couldn't fully trust her words that she wasn't going to hurt her.
Eying the tea being made in front of her warily the fairy couldn't confirm whether or not it would be dangerous for her to drink.
Because of her race there was occasionally substances that other races could drink that would make her very sick.
Therefore, her first reaction was to question the tea on top of it though, the other girl's words sounded like a warning… a warning she didn't like the sound of.
"What kind of tea and why do you suppose that I'm going to need it?"
~~~~~Azazel nodded yet again, even if he did not get magic Curtis was accepting all this surprisingly easily. "Yes I suppose that is a good way to put it. You just sort of appear back inside when it leaves." He wouldn't have used the term summoning but it worked just as well. Azazel heard the sound too and decided to hurry down the stairs so Airi would not have to be alone with a potentially dangerous newcomer. He knew she could typically take care of herself but he had no desire to risk it. "You're right, lets go meet the other new person." Azazel called back to Curtis and Gil almost as an afterthought as he bolted down the hallway, when he reached the stairs he hopped down almost a flight of stairs at a time and landed on his feet surprisingly lightly to anyone who happened to see him land.

~~~~~Airi tilted her head slightly at the analogy that did not make much sense to her. Plenty of woods she knew of did not have bears. She supposed that they were more common in this woman's world then on hers. "Well you won't need them at the moment, no one here has any intention of harming you." She supposed that the place was hardly safe by any means but daggers were hardly any defense against most of the dangers present in Cartesia. Airi began pouring the tea into teacups and shrugged. "Green tea, it has mint in it too." Both the tea and the mint had come from the greenhouse in the back, she had never had tea like this before coming to Cartesia. They had many types of herbal drinks back home but not this. "This building you walked into has trapped us all inside." She supposed that 'us' had less meaning when the two of them were the only ones in the room but Azazel then abruptly came into the room. She gave him a look that he knew was meant to tell him he needn't have hurried down like that when he was taking care of the other newcomers. She was glad he was worried about her of course but if something happened to their possible new friends both of them would feel guilty.
Sabriel fixed the taller young woman with a look that effectively told her to "forget it" because there was no way that she was going to be removing her weapons.
Of course, the daggers and fans weren't the only things on her that could do considerable damage to a person. Her belt not only held some of the items essential to her being a healer, but a number of objects that when either used outright or in the correct way could be deadly.
"So Touareg tea then."
The fairy did her best not to make her face over the decision to add mint to the tea. She tended to find that mint overpowered the flavor of the tea so she generally preferred a squeeze of lemon instead.
Then again, the type of mint used could also be a factor as to how strong the flavor was. Apple or Pineapple mints were normally the most common variety of mint to be used in Touareg tea, but then she'd experienced it made with the likes of peppermint before, so she didn't quite know what to expect.
Hearing that the building had trapped her inside she merely blinked at the other girl.
"Do you want to elaborate on the trapped and us sections of that sentence?
Seeing the stranger look away from her, she turned in her seat to see what she was looking at.
One of her hands went back to one of her fans again, this time her fingertips stroking the cool metal surface of it's butt following the multiple grooves created by it's slats.
This was both a calming mechanism for her and depending on how others saw it, either defensive or aggressive. She always felt that it leaned more towards the defensive, because it showed that she was ready to look after herself should the need arise.
"I take it that by us you mean more than just you and me then huh? Still care to explain further though?"
Until she found out more about exactly what was going on, she felt that it was best for her to reserve her judgement so that she could decide whether or not panicking was a good idea.
Unfortunately for her, she suffered from claustrophobia so being stuck indoors for any length of time with nothing to do that could keep her mind from the fact could be bad for her.
This all meant that hearing whether or not they were trapped permanently was important to her mental well being.
Gilrin Cheval felt incredibly hopeless. This was short lived as her own keen pointed ears picked up the tell tale signs of some poor soul entering Cartesia.
Curtis leaning over the banister and his joke caused her to smile and she watched as Azazel ran down in haste. She shrugged, letting out a long sigh and rubbing her forehead again. "Maybe a newcomer can be of use?" Her voice questioned herself and the wolf before she decided to make her way downstairs as well. The smell of tea soothed her senses as she joined up with Airi, Azazel, and the flighty girl with the fans. Dulled gray eyes took her in and she tilted her head, letting white hair flow over her pale shoulder. "Hello." A simple greeting was all she could give, since it seemed more company wasn't all that helpful.
Distinct Werewolf
"Of some use? Not unless they brought razor blades and a pig or two with them." Curtis followed quickly after Azazel, though by method of running down the stairs like the average person would. He couldn't fathom how many bones he'd break if he attempted the same feat of jumping down flights like Azazel. Definitely not human.
"Oh, hello there!"
He said, upon arriving back in the main room, and joining the others. He gave a good long look at Sabriel, sizing her up. She was such a short little thing compared to him- or anyone, really- and that alone amused him. Even moreso when he caught a glimpse of her weapons. She reminded him of a fire ant. Capable of stinging, not so much as a threat.
"You wouldn't happen to be real, would you?" He teased the fairy with the first question he was asked when he arrived at Cartesia. He regretted the comment shortly after speaking it, feeling the tension in the room. "Who might you be?" He asked more solemnly.
~~~~~Airi shrugged slightly, she hadn't known it had that name, she actually did not much like the sound of it that way either. She did not like the way the short woman was talking to her, she seemed rather short tempered somehow, though under the circumstances she supposed she could hardly blame her. "There are more of us stuck here." She pointed towards her twin and the other two following behind him. She supposed that talking about the weapons more would just put her even more on edge so Airi decided to drop it, as long as she didn't actually try to use them she was not a threat. She hoped she would be able to deal her if she did try using them but the presence of Azazel and the other new guests calmed her down a little. If this woman did try something at least she had Azazel's help, and maybe even Curtis's and Gil's. "This building, it traps people, and we are all stuck." Azazel found Curtis's repetition of their earlier question sightly annoying. They had only asked it out of a rather genuine fear that Curtis and Gil had not in fact been real people. He couldn't really be mad about it when he gave it even a small amount of thought, Curt hardly had a way to know it would bother him. "So I think the tea looks done.." Azazel hurried to the bar and hopped onto a bar stool. He helped himself to one of the cups of tea Airi had poured taking a large sip with an apparent lack of regard for the still high temperature of the drink. "Airi is there any more?~" He asked in an almost singsong manner, well aware that there was not in fact any more. Airi smirked; she was well aware of the fact that he was basically just asking her to make more for him. She cleaned the leaves our of the pot before adding fresh tea leaves and pouring more boiling water into the teapot. "There will be some more in a bit."
