Gilrin blinked at the werewolf as he was all too obvious and shook her head at him subtly, sipping her tea again.

"Okay then, where do we get started? Have you brought anything in or have any idea what it wants?" Her voice was hopeful. They had been there the longest, seen Cartesia's behavior over the months. These mysterious twins were their only hope, though it didn't seem like they wanted to give it all up. The white haired equine tried to relax a little, slumping a bit in her chair and leaning to the side slightly.

Distinct Werewolf

The strange vocabulary threw him off. He wasn't even sure what to make of that. Solar rotations? Instead of troubling himself too much on that, he disregarded that part of the sentence entirely. Curtis owed it to their strange accent and the 'culture' they spoke of. Thirteen. He would pick apart his answer word by word, including the bit 'we are aged' instead of 'we are' but he stopped there- Gilrin's disapproval signaled to him, basically 'shut up and let me do the talking.'

He shyly smiled, and busied himself with his tea. His finger traced the rim of his glass. This small act of meditation kept him from firing off several questions to every sentence that Airi or Azalen spoke. He left the interrogation to Gilrin for now, temporarily. He felt he was getting too many strange looks from the twins anyways. "I wouldn't mind helping out. Whatever the house would like..."

Tipsy Mage

~~~~~Their strange way of speaking was partially because English was not their first language, they had not even ever heard of it before coming here, and partially due to a tendency to over think things.
~~~~~"The door is not here, there is nothing we can really do at the moment in regards to escape in the way we know of." Azazel answered Gil this time, he was glad that she seemed at least hopeful that she might be able to escape as well. "We'll show you how to figure all that stuff out when it comes up." He was not enjoying the strange suspicious tone tone Curtis had been using before, which his sudden change in demeanor made Azazel finally notice. "There is not really any way to know what the house wants ahead of time." He left out that the house of course would always want interesting people because he did not consider it an option.

She nodded now, in deep consideration and looking back to the disheartened werewolf.

"So we wait," she sounded okay with this for the moment, wanting to lead the conversation in a more social direction. "Any suggestions on how we should pass the time?" Gilrin asked this of everyone, passing her eyes back over the pair. Any of the games from her realm really wouldn't be suitable here, and since the three of them came from the bipedal world, they would have entertainment ideas.

She finished off her half warm tea and pondered how minutes here seemed like hours. Not the best feeling to have when trapped inside for an indeterminate amount of time. Her mind thought of dreamy meadows and tall green trees, which caused her to smile before looking back to Curtis, hoping his cheer had returned.

Distinct Werewolf

"Aw, there is no scavenger hunt list?" The idea of running down the streets, rampant and desperate, looking for a specific gaudy sofa for the house before it summoned him back like a game of yo-yo made him chuckle to himself. Though he wasn't sure what Gilrin was smiling about- since she had appeared quite down for the longest time- he enjoyed it regardless. If she was less worried, being the most vulnerable, anyhow, then he had little reason to fret the situation at the current moment now either. The kids could be figured out more in detail later. He wasn't going to forget it.

But Curtis was blank on suggestions to pass the time. He thought it was a good thing the question was mostly directed to the children, because he had nothing on him. Not a deck of cards (not that they had much to gamble, he thought), or tossing darts. Or even a box of cigars. Nothing he considered fun, but he was always up to new ideas.

~~~~~Both of them shrugged slightly, waiting was something they had gotten used to by now. At least they did not have to do so alone anymore. "We usually study or play games or something, but I can show you the greenhouse if you want." He did not usually like going there when the building was in night time mode but he supposed it was more likely to be the wooded area behind the glass then anything else. During the day the greenhouse was the only room they liked even almost as much as the library. He would have been a little exited to show it off if not for the fact that it probably had been untended while himself and Airi had been made to sleep. "Nothing so convenient as that no." Airi answered Curtis's question this time, she would have liked a list, it would certainly simplify things.
Games sounded good but fresh air sounded a lot better.
"I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing it, ominous or not." She sounded a little unsure, but if there were trees at least she could brighten her spirits for a little. Her stone colored eyes moved to the gentleman, seeing if he was going to tag along or not.
Distinct Werewolf
"Eheh...The greenhouse!" He was content previously when the tour stopped just before visiting the greenhouse. The things said about it and windows in general was enough shake his interest of it, if he had any at all for such a building. He had a superstitious mind that believed that only spirits were accepted to see other worlds, and had no desire to have the same 'benefits' as said specter. And of course that was before recalling that the children themselves had trepidation about entering at this hour, which alone was a large warning flag.
"I will come along." Curtis begrudgingly agreed. He was more than comfortable with his tea, nearby that odd little fire, but he didn't want to inconvenience anyone by staying behind and halt the tour prematurely. Or, the real reason, rather, was that he was not going to chicken out while two children and a woman left instead. So he sat up, and was prepared to follow even though he had resolved earlier to leave Cartesia's darker surprises until a later date, or never at all.
Though there was no guarantee he'd just stay in the doorway while they ventured forth into the greenhouse. It sounded like a good plan.
Azazel hurried over to a doorway next to the bar, he was glad for another distraction, especially when the newcomers seemed to be getting depressed. "Come over this way, the greenhouse is behind the kitchen." He opened the door to another hallway, this one had a set of doors on one side that were closed and on the other a large opening with a kitchen large enough to serve the inn if it were inhabited by many people. "So that is obviously the kitchen." Azazel motioned to the room almost dismissively then hurried though through the door before the other two had even arrived. The door stay opened without him needing to hold it for them so he figured it would not be rude to hurry ahead. He was actually a little worried about the state of the place, most of the things they had been growing were probably long past the point of being edible, and the garden was probably rather overgrown in general.
She could see how excited Azazel was which was perfect as he darted ahead of them. His brief statement fell on def ears as Gil got up from her seat and took her time with Curtis to walk through the kitchen out the door.
As they were safely out of ear shot of either twin, she looked at him like a frightened rabbit. "We need to come up with a plan or at least speed up theirs." She whispered this through a fake smile as they followed the bow out toward the unknown. "I don't mind getting thrown into your realm even, anywhere." She told him, trying to forge a strong alliance.
The comment caught him by surprise. He couldn't have expected something so bold to slip out of those lips. But without even considering what she said for more than a few seconds, his expression eased into a smirk. A conspiracy arising! And from the woman who looked as if she was ready to faint from fright. It was a beautiful contrast, to Curtis. "I know exactly what you mean, love." He whispered through his smile.
"And I think I have a few ideas." Flashes of his 'work' back home went through his mind. How he dealt with people he was suspicious of, or even vampires. Those situations were commonplace to protect him and his underground sort of 'business.' Though those seemed much too harsh for the present. Much too rash. Especially if they still need their hosts to figure out this place for the time being. It would be a mistake to rush into violence and have one of the children happen to shove them into a dangerous door in the frenzy. A better plan was needed. "But I am all ears." His one-track mind was too interested and distracted now to even pay a thought to what they were crossing into.
Tipsy Mage
~~~~~Azazel's hearing might have been acute enough to hear what was being said had he been paying attention, he was however slightly distracted by the fact the door was refusing to open. He tugged and pulled at it as though it were stuck until it abruptly opened smoothly and he fell back onto the floor. He hopped right back to his feet and stared at the door for a moment before stepping outside.

~~~~~The greenhouse was ridiculously large, it was slightly longer and almost twice as wide as the building itself and the ceiling was almost as high. The walls were a transparent shimmering substance that was clear like glass but held up by huge trees in a line around the perimeter of the place. The 'glass' was like a rectangular force field around the warm and humid garden.
The garden itself had become a bit untended, there was grass grown high over much of the place. There was a large amount of flowering plants in patches all over the greenhouse, and even many flowering trees and bushes, most of which were actually fruit trees. Some of them were even bearing fruit. Though oddly they were not matched up to season, several that tended to bear fruit only at certain parts of the year had fruit at the same time. The trees seemed to have grouped together especially around an artificial lake near the back. "Hey that pond wasn't so big before, and those trees were not all together like that..." He supposed that pond was hardly a good way to describe the more impressive amount of water that was now back here, it even looked like it might be rather deep.
~~~~~The greenhouse had apparently rearranged itself since Azazel had seen it last. There was not even a trace of the places that had been cleared out to use for farming. When the other two arrived he mumbled slightly. "At least the tree's are still there.." Outside of the shimmering glass like walls there was a a heavily wooded area visible. He spoke up more clearly after he noticed there were no creepy eyes staring back at them from the woods. "Like I said before sometimes it's just empty outside, it's scary when it's like that."

"I haven't got too much worked out. We just have to play along for now." She told him this very hushed and dropped the subject as they returned to their host.

More could be discussed in private. Gilrin could smell the trees before setting her eyes on them. The mere sight of the woods with their looming shadows was enough to put a clear smile on her face. That was what Cartesia had tempted her with after all. Now those almond shape eyes came to the peculiar structure that the white haired boy referred to as the greenhouse. Different, but she supposed it constituted as a legitimate hothouse.

She bravely peered inside the large structure with its funny looking glass. She blinked at the boy. "What do you mean it wasn't like that before?" She was utterly confused. Plants don't just up and move themselves. Though she had encountered plants capable of movement, she was certain none went so far as uprooting themselves.

"Play along." He nodded, dropping the subject just as quickly as she did.

"I think the house would like a proper gardner!" He added in a more conversational tone. He felt as if he was worried over nothing. The expansiveness did little to surprise him after the library. Dimensions of rooms or the way they shift were already mindlessly accepted traits of this establishment and he wouldn't question them beyond that. The thing that did bother him, though, was the heat natural to any green house. Curtis undid a few of the buttons around his collar, when the lady's head was turned. Only a hot and humid plant room, after all!

He tried to make his way to one of the 'glass' walls, with some obvious trouble stepping over plantlife. Curtis adored the space. He knew the building would inevitably give him a feeling of claustrophobia in those halls and rooms, but it was nice out here with exception to the heat. "When you say there is nothingness on occasion...you really mean nothing? You don't see the stars every night, I wonder? The moon?" As he looked through the glass into the wooded area, he made an effort to keep his tone neutral. He didn't want to sound like he was implying anything in particular.

~~~~~While Azazel was paying attention to Gil and Curtis he had walked over a tree and after a moment of looking at it scrambled up to climb to a branch about fifteen feet in the air. He was a little over halfway to the top of the tree. He waited till he was comfortably sitting in a branch to answer her question. "Everything looked different before, some of the plants moved places and some are just gone or replaced. Not to mention the pond apparently had aspirations to become a lake." He looked at the lake thoughtfully for a moment then looked back to Gil and Curtis.
~~~~~Azazel actually liked it more this way, if not for the fact that he and Airi would have to work hard clearing areas out and replanting things he would have been wholeheartedly happy about the change. "Hopefully the lake is safe to go near." After he was sure the lake was not filled with things that might try to eat them he would probably immediately jump in and swim. Azazel looked down at Curtis and pointed up at the sky. "Usually there are no celestial bodies we can see from here." There were not in fact any stars visible, nor any moon. "It makes me miss the moons back home sometimes, but it is fun out here."
