There has been tragedy here, a battle on many fronts; the mind, body, and spirit were all used in a long moment of crisis. There was once a spider and her lover, their love was dark and manipulative. Together they were unstoppable while apart... they destroyed each other. Blooming Lotus was established outside of time and space for a jorogumo who's name is erased from time and space, Mistress was her alias. A traditional Japanese woman of grace in human form, she could not out run her past and she could not get away from her ex-lover Mr. Scratch no matter how hard she tried. After the collapse of the entire front end of Blooming Lotus' old building during a heated battle, Mistress died by her sister Ryuu's hand and in spirit encased not only her soul, but Scratch's soul in a statue on a lone island of land above the roaring river below.. The power of Nolan's soul still present within the Mistress after a necromancy lesson gone array, the chilling part of her soul that enveloped Scratch's was what encased their bodies after Spike released a fragment of Scratch's humanity hidden in a pocket watch. The chilled statue of Mistress and Scratch is standing tall at the bottom of the front steps, a shrine built there to honor Mistress and her sacrifice.
Mistress' sister Ryuu and her beloved Spike have inherited the entirety of Blooming Lotus Inn upon Mistress' death. The Wish Witch Yuuko came at the end of the battle to inform them of that fact as well as convey the arrival of a powerful psychic. After having a vision of Vanessa Courtez, Yuuko knew that the Korinian female would be one of Spike and Ryuu's greatest allies. Upon Yuuko and Vanessa's meeting, the Wish Witch sent her to Blooming Lotus, but never told her why. Little did the Korinian psychic know that she would play a large role in Blooming Lotus and become closer the residents than she had with anyone ever before.
Yuuko gave Ryuu a pink crystal lotus that contained a soft hum that reminded Ryuu of her dearly departed sister. At first, Ryuu was unable to figure out what it was or why Yuuko had given it to her as the residents of the time helped to clean up the battle debris feeling like they weren't getting anywhere. In the midst of her mourning the loss of her sister, Ryuu noticed that when she brought the crystal lotus to the Statue of Devotion where Mistress is encase, it hummed louder and glowed softly. Releasing a mass amount of energy when Ryuu placed the crystal in a perfect dent within the stone flowers Mistress is holding, the old building of Blooming Lotus was practically putting itself back together from the ground up... it was am amazing sight to watch inanimate objects fly about the Inn with new additions all over. The land was no longer burnt, but dirt rings in which Ryuu could plant more flower beds. The new building was standing tall by day three of the repair process in a matter of moments. The one thing Ryuu asked Spike to do for her is build a shrine from her sister's statue to honor and protect her. Of all the things Spike thought he would have to do, building a shrine was not what he expected, but was very supportive none the less.
Blooming Lotus is now harder to travel to from Banzai Village because the path was destroyed in the battle and is now a large drop all the way into a roaring river at the bottom of the waterfalls. Sakura Bridge is now the only entrance connecting to the forest other than the sky for those who can travel the sky. The Hot Spring is now larger than before and tips gently over a rocky wall and into the roaring river below.
