[[Duly noted.]]

Mina arched a brow at his reaction to the coin, barely able to contain her maddening, Cheshire cat grin. It was nice to get a rise out of someone. At least she still had that to fall back on! Even so, the metal monstrosity didn't need to make enemies on her first day out of "solitary." Paper currency replaced the coin on the counter top, said gold disk now set to dancing lightly along the back of her claws.

"I'm sorry," she purred, her voice getting better all the time. "That was mean of me."

She poured herself a shot and downed it quickly, cringing as she waited for some horrible, explosive reaction. And waited. And waited a moment more. A rather sheepish expression came over her features as she poured another. No discomfort, no fire, no sparks. The taste was stronger, more vivid than she remembered, but that was all. Apparently, drinking was still part of her repertoire.

"Thank you, Zantara, for the drink, the compliment and your discretion. I will share this much, however: a lover's spat with a lunatic genius from another dimension is ill-advised at best."

Another shot down the hatch!

"Don't worry about it."

He said with a sigh as he looked around the room, kind of lost in thought. He was already having a sour night elsewhere and the various Aspects were having a fit about something or another.

"And don't worry about that either. I'm a cleric of the Tavern. Our vow of silence is one of the best in these lands. My lips are sealed from whatever you want to talk about. But I can most assuredly relate to the lunatic genius.... I have to deal with one every single day. True, I'm an Aspect of him, but he's still a total pain in the a**."

((Oh nvm. redface Sorry.))

"Probably." Ixx nodded eagerly, hopping down from the table and straightening out her robe. "Gray knows everything. It doesn't say so to me, but I think it does."

She smiled a little bit, and extended one fingertip to touch the tip of his hair.

"You look a little bit like Gray, but it usually appears as the other gender. And wings of dragons. Gray teaches that birds are vile creatures and that no creature with feathers is ever to be trusted. Only the skin-and-bone of bat, the flames and magic of demon, or the magnetic telepathy of dragons are to ever be used to make wings on honorable creatures. And I ever so much want to be honorable."

"Well I might not know everything... but I'd have to agree within a limited state about the wings."

He said as they went slowly down the hall. As they came to a door without any symbols on it, he waved his cigarette wielding hand at it, causing it to open for them. As the two went inside, the Primera took another drag before flicking it over his shoulder into the hallway to be left for the cleanup crew. he couldn't smoke in here, unfortuantly.

"If you look to your left, you'll find each genetic species labeled on the racks. I believe that un-feathered winged creatures are on the third shelf. They should all be together."

Stopping at the doorway, he looked at the thousands and thousands of genetic sample, each copied in triplicate. From blood samples to different animalistic poisons, venoms and biological samples, this room had everything she could desire.

"Trust me, when you've been around some of the people I have, finding someone who can keep their damn trap shut is a blessing."

Claws sounded lightly against the glass as she lifted the bottle, pouring herself yet another shot. It was a shame-- she didn't seem to be feeling the tequila at all. Now what was she going to use as an excuse for her behavior if she did something reckless?

"It's not so bad, really. Not until he gets ideas into his head. He's one of those types that has to see curiosities through to the end."

Her brow furrowed and she tossed back the shot, pouring another still. At this rate, she'd have the whole bottle gone. Mina's tail set to thrashing in agitation as she sighed.

"It doesn't always pan out for those caught in the splash zone, y'know?"

Ixx stood and looked at the shelves for a long time. Gray might or might not actually know everything, but she certainly hadn't imparted most of that knowledge to Ixx. She was completely in the dark here, so she merely started putting one fingertip on each nameplate on the third shelf in turn, while mentally reciting 'eenie meenie miney moe' to herself. When she caught the tiger's toe, she withdrew that sample and held it up. "These, please!" she announced, gleefully.

Taking her 'prize' and trotting along wherever the Primeva would escort her after that, she would chatter up to him happily, apparently entirely content with the world such as it was.

"You people out here are ever so much niceness. I like you better than Gray. Maybe better is the wrong word. But I would rather spend time with you. Do you know of more people?"

"Why do you think the human clerics don't last in these parts? Too much damn running their yaps, looking for converts, I like to think. Now when it comes to me and mine, if you ask, I tell. You don't ask, I keep my ******** trap shut and bartend or cook like I was hired to do. And that, my dear....is why I'm a High Cleric and they're nothing more than poor smucks in some dragons gullet."

He replied as he lifted up his glass of lemonade, taking a sip.

"Yeah... I know the type. Trust me, being an Aspect of a Higher Power is no picnic. Zantara do this, Zantara fight that, Zantara go give up a piece of your soul to some Dreaming Royalty tart because I want a way into her Realm. Zantara....go ******** that Dragoness. I need a new kid for an experiement. Zantara go play with the demons within that Bar. Screw her, her and her and damn the torpedos!!!"

Shaking his head in slight disgust, he wished he could drink liquor tonight... but he'd given it up for some holiday of his Goddess. How the ******** a newly formed demi-goddess could have holidays already he didn't have a clue, but an Aspect learned real quick, it was stupid to ask questions.... usually the answers would just make your brain hurt all the more so.

( Sorry for the sudden 'poof' off into non-existence. I went up to have dinner and then got dragged into an episode of Downton Abbey. >.< Myah! British television, why with the goodness? WHY?! )

Food... food might be a good idea. Her eyes, however, remained on the 'automaton'? Android? The hell was that damn thing? Rhea furrowed her brow at the girl and almost seemed to scowl. Apparently she didn't much like not knowing things, especially if it was going to be a threat or not. There was a little voice in her head telling her this was why she shouldn't have let go of Schuller, the girl who knew all-- or could find out. But toting that little powder puff annoyed more than she helped. She began chewing on the inside of her cheek, averting her eyes long enough to look back towards where she'd just came. Her book was upstairs. Her father had started it, putting everything he knew or found out about various demons, deities and dangerous creatures he could into one book, adding to it along the way just as she had. On second thought, she probably wasn't in there. Damnit. She scratched her hand through her still damp hair before setting it on her hip, now scowling to herself as she stared at the floor. She was feeling kind of useless at this point. She wasn't used to being this idle. Rhea huffed to herself again and headed for the bar, her eyes searching for the glass she'd left. Maybe she could keep drinking a little longer and that would bring inspiration. Inspiration and food.

((Brain goes derp derp derp...))

Motioning for her to take what she wanted as he could always get more, the elderly man pushed his glasses back up his nose. Holding out the crook of his right arm to her as he turned on his heel and began to guide her down the hall to where he'd set aside for her purposes, he smiled at her kind words, his sore hip giving him pangs.

"You are far too kind. I know of many good people, some of them actually worth speaking of. And perhaps once you feel you are ready, you shall meet them. But now... off to your lab."

As they went down the empty hall, Ixx might realize that it had already been sterilized of their first walk down it and as they passed each doorway, a soft electrical buzz appeared behind them, as the entire lab cleaned itself of their very exsistance.

"This will be your own laboratory for whatever you need it for. It is known as a White Room. You only need to speak or thing of what you want and it is brought into the room though a morphogenic matrix. Just be sure to articulate your thoughts and words.... it is still a touch experiemental and has a few...bugs."

As they came to one room among thousands, he waved at the door and it opened wide, showing Ixx a completely barren room 50 feet cubed, tiled with 5 foot squares on all the walls. Stepping in she could possibly feel the energy field that was surrounding the room allowing it to function as it did. Stepping in behind her, he closed the door, and created himself a simple stool to sit in, leaning against the wall with his cane across his lap.

[[HA! "sound of sirens" Captcha.]]

Mina nodded in agreement as Zantara related his thoughts on the subjects of chatty humans. She herself had seen friend and foe alike destroyed simply because someone couldn't keep a secret. Hell, wars had been won and lost over that very concept. If everyone kept to themselves unless prompted otherwise, the world would be vastly improved.

"Here, here!" she grinned, raising her shot glass in a mock toast before indulging her appetite for alcohol yet again. A careful observer might note a few of those thin, cerulean lines along her figure sparking a bit white here and there. Nothing to worry about, not really, but at least it meant the tequila was doing something.

"Wait, what?"

Mina found herself staring in awe at Zantara as he described his line of work. It wasn't as if she hadn't been used in the past for certain nefarious plots, but she could never remember being ordered to bear a child simply for the sake of scientific curiosity. Then again, she couldn't really remember following orders. Subject four-zero-two-seven-six-three had always been a bit.. uncooperative.

"I suddenly feel like a complete asshat for sitting here and bemoaning the shift from organic to inorganic lifeform, having heard that. Damn. Sorry for your luck."

Edit: About then, Mina felt another pair of eyes on her. Luminous blue orbs settled on the female and she smiled, offering a brief nod of acknowledgement.
