"...I guess you have a point," was the most intelligent thing Mariner had to say on the subject. It wasn't like Demyx was going to be much good for anything with that kind of injury, or like he was likely to get back to the boat without help. "I'll...see what I can do about clearing a path, I guess."

Instead of wearing off so that he could freak out, shock seemed to be setting in even further at that point. Demyx was still nearly indifferent to his leg being gone, whether it was still attached by a meaningless scrap of flesh or completely detached, but he just wanted to not be there anymore. Escaping and passing out were becoming more nearly equal with every passing moment.

"Yes well you may or may not find opposition between here and the boat. I'm not sure how well you and Demyx will do getting back."

The Doc kept his hands from shaking overly hard and used what bits of his coat he could to make an adequate bandage the wrap up the rest of Demyx. Getting at the cut on his other leg as well.

"Demyx. It's all very good that you're not in agony right now, but we can't have you passing out."

He said when he looked up at the blond.

---

"Well we're almost at the end right? Why not make a good base to camp in, that way M'lord and ya can get a full royal escort."

Though he was already starting to size up the remainder of the collapse to see if he couldn't help Mariner move a little bit of it.

And thinking over what he could help Ramza learn. And then he was thinking epic pirate dragon Demyx. But that was and outfit that wouldn't go over so well right now he was thinking.
------------------

The vent dweller had scooted back a ways and was silently pondering the blockage between him and the off islanders.
"Yeah, okay. You're right... at least if we get to where Jie is, he's bound to have a secure place. But all the traps from here to there..."

Ramza looked thoughtful, but really staying together as long as possible was a grand idea. He just didn't want to slow them down, get them or their survivor killed, or whatever other awful fate could occur. He really didn't want to play an bets on their luck, but it had least decided to keep them all alive so far, so at least it wasn't bad yet.

"Since I'm not a good fighter, and Demyx will probably want my hand helping him, at least that's convenient, right?"

He managed a glance back to where the Doc was working, putting on his best reassuring smile, although it was a little tattered and used.

"If you could just get as far as that break room we were in earlier, that's probably about as close to a safe room as we can get in this place," Mariner said, doing his best to at least shorten the wall without bringing anything crashing down on anyone. "And it's not nearly so far away as the boat, so it's less of a risk to get there. Plus we've already disarmed the traps between here and there."

Demyx was all but indifferent to the Doc's request that he stayed conscious. He was not happy and not having fun, and being conscious only extended that. ******** the world, was it too much to ask for a hug or something? Because he could completely use one. Preferably from Ramza, but he wouldn't care if Mariner chose to give him a hug as long as someone did.

"I think Mariner is right, that break room seems the safest bet."

The Doc tucked the make shift bandage and surveyed his work. Not perfect. So very not perfect, but it could suffice till they could get back.

At the continued silence from Demyx he trembled slightly and shook off the ghost of dread.

"Well Demyx shall be lucky for such desirable company."

While he was afraid to meet any one's eyes at this moment, the Doc did offer a hesitant pat to Demyx's shoulder as he stood up.

--------

"Alright! So first things we gotta do is get rid of this extra wall! Cause no matter what it's in the way!"

The thief stated positively, but instead of moving right to help Mariner he had to give a funny grin to Ramza and Demyx. and the Doc. Stopping in front of each to do so, then jumping back into rubble removal duty.
Suddenly Yukai's face was in front of him, smiling, and some of his thoughts exploded. Leaning away then nodding, piecing together the remains of a crashed train of thought. Perplexed expression vanishing as he walked over to Demyx.

"Right. We'll hide in there, then. You three better take good care of each other. Especially you, Yukai, your time to shine with your thieving past. You probably know a bit about traps. Mariner, I'm sorry we've dragged you into this, you too Doc."

He knelt beside the dragon man, smiling softly, while getting a look at the wounds. Noting what to be care of, and how to move Demyx. His stomach could go damn itself, he'd do what he had to. Queasy or not. Neatly moving his right arm under Demyx's left, and around to his side. Face close to the ground himself, looking at the wounded dragon with his strained but now hopeful expression.

"Lets get you out of the danger zone. Hold onto me, tightly."

His left arm went around front of Demyx, but it probably wouldn't be much use.

Demyx clung to Ramza like a lifeline, struggling to get back to his feet - well, foot, singular, now. Now that he was trying to get back to vertical, blood loss was starting to hit him hard, but he did his best to remain conscious and keep his blood pressure where it belonged. Seeing them struggle, Mariner went over to help; presumably, once Demyx was all the way upright, Ramza could take care of him from there, but he seemed to need more help to get there.

"No, really. I'd have to come here sooner or later."
The Doc distanced himself slightly, given that three was already a crowd. And in fact he felt a tad uncomfortable trying to get close to another group. One wolf pack was more than enough really. And he wasn't certain of his standing here any more. A sad thing when age old fears re-emerged.

"Ah... perhaps... it would be quicker to simply take three lefts to return... rather than wait for this mess to be cleared."

Yes this was definitely a low C at the best.

The Doc shook his head and tried to clear away unnecessary thoughts. After all, he should worry over the injured party. The dragon was looking very much worse for their time here.

-------

Yukai pulled away stones and wondered at the sound of scrabbling on the other side. The noise from their vent friend helping clear away from his side.

"I'll shine the whole place up! Just you watch!"

Throwing a triumphant fist into the air. In a show of pride.

"Good luck you two."

For all the reasons.
