We'll be releasing some real performance enhancements next week. We were hoping to release this week but with all the cool stuff going on we decided to wait.

In the meantime, when playing Booty Grab it's best to minimize the forum window behind the game. You'll get a better experience that way. Many of you have pointed this out already but I wanted to create a sticky to let some of the new users know.

Ideally you won't have to worry about this soon but for the meantime this will have to do smile

How to Reduce or Kill Your Lag Issues & Get Higher Scores

•Flash 10.1 works wonderfully for this
---NOTE:
------1st download is for windows (not Internet Explorer)
------2ed download is for windows (Internet Explorer)
------3ed download is for macs
------4th download is for linux
•Shrinking the booty grab window cuts the lag a lot.
•If you can't resize the popup go to about:config and paste "dom.disable_window_open_feature.resizable" in the filter bar (without quotes) set the value to true (dubble click it) this is for Mozilla based browsers.
•Decent resizing now requires Gaia Booty Grab Auto Re-Sizer (unless you just want extra large and large)
•Setting quality to low helps immensely. (bottom left of booty grab game).
•Setting your screen resolution to 16 bit mode instead of 32 bit mode helps a lot.
•The more RAM you have in your computer the better.
•K-Meleon seems to do a good job at lowering lag. (Adblock Plus)
•If you cant move during a game press press the 'window key' and the 'D' key. Picture of 'window key'

Notes:
•Blocking fish and the outside of the tank disable the ability to play booty grab.

I made a Greasemonkey script for this a while back when aquariums first came out to remove aquariums from signatures because they covered the post.

Those experiencing extreme lag could probably use a option to disable/remove flash in signatures.

good job chuck heres a tip some one posted open file get a new tab and have it next to the gaia tab when waiting for a game to start switch to the blank tab this works well for me i had 8 turtles and it didn't lag horribly NOTE it seems the octos create the most lag it must be the flash in their tentacles that cause this. maybe if you slowed their arms it would help. ps did i mention you guys have given us a great game dramallama
