Once again lost over 2k because the game failed to save, so much for ''fixing'' the aquariums.

What can I do to improve its performance? Could it be my browser (Firefox)?

...it's not the games fault it failed to save. They did fix it. If you get the flashing "Getting Game Results" thing, Or "Saving Game" Just wait and count to 15 slowly out loud.

Firefox is actually probably best. However, there is less lag (it helps) if you make the game small, turn off sound, and have the quality low.

The problem is that it doesn't always work that way. About 2/3rds of the time I'll get the gold when I do that, but that other third, no gold, and I'll get the "already playing another game" error.

People can have their opinion, anyone saying to stop complaining is just wasting their breath. No one is gonna stop, they're mad, they can complain. Telling people not to complain is what dictators do, that's what freedom is speech is intended for. To protect the speech you don't agree with, you don't need to protect people from others who agree with them. confused

As for it being within Gaia's right to regulate gold, that is true, but messing around with something people buy with money is a bit of a bait-and-switch. They should say plainly in the aquarium shop and in the cash shop that they reserve the right to alter items you buy from there. This really isn't any different than if you bought an EI from them and they replaced it with a paper sack. It's like selling someone a gym membership and then removing all the exercise equipment and handing you a jump rope to work out with instead.
