In the episode of Brotherhood where Ed gets a tune-up from Winry before he's about to head toward Central, when Winry challenges him about doing whatever he has to in order to succeed, I think most of the audience was screaming, "JUST DO IT!"

They do this in a lot of ramantic comedy genres... only a few actually have their characters actually dating.

For example, HOTD had the main character in a quarrel with his ex girlfriend but they never actually "hooked up" again
