Vault1 and Vault2 both died of their own freakish means. Vault1 is revived thanks to a linux boot, which I've now turned back into a full XP installation. It runs, just not as good as it used to. Space is a bit more limited, I think the system is just working around the damaged portion of the drive.

I made Vault2's drive external, and tried to run recovery software, but got an I/O error... I think it's permafried. Still under warranty supposedly, so I might be sending him in for a clone. >.>

Sounds like what happened to me yesterday...

I've grown my first plant from a seed and gave it all my love. Took it on holidays and watered it daily, plant food etc, ALL MY ******** LOVE... And then a blind drops on it and snaps it in half ;_; I can't find the bottom of teh stalk which should still be connected to the roots...
