zero the last decepticon
There's a place in Charlotte called The Wine Up, that does poetry every Thursday night. I was actually invited to be a member of the 2006 team, but had to decline, due to working six days a weeks. They ended up going to the national finals hat year, as well. Those guys really knew thier s**t, and did a whole lot of traveling. I plan on stopping in for a few poems, and a few beers, when I hit Charlotte in July.
Neat.
heart Your style always struck me as having some slam-related qualities to it: just the internal rhyming and stuff.
I've never been good enough at slam to be a part of a team, but I have written it. (I think the copies were burned.)

My literary club in high school was big into slam, which is where I first heard about it. It was all they wrote; unfortunately, I think they used it more often than not as an excuse to overperform to compensate for their lack of technical prowess.
