@Nick: Like I said, elitism. The only reason they're tagged as different generations is to set when they evolve in the database.

For instance, when Hermes' Moon Gen 1 evolves, then Hermes' Moon Gen 2 will evolve into what Gen 1 was previously. And so on and so forth. But a lot of people want to have the first gen simply because it is tagged as the first gen.

Kind of like with the Vampire skin. You've got a lot of Vamps that are like "Well, I got turned the real way. I didn't use that crappy insta-turn that they implemented after Day 1 of the Halloween event." You get elitism from the 'real' Vampire's because they worked more towards their skin than people that just came in and clicked one button to get their skin. Even though it's the same skin, you've still people looming their status over other people's heads.
