I was hoping that the part where Bobba Fett dies would be a lot more epic than it was ;-;
Which brings me back to hoping that Steph gets better at fight scenes/torture scenes etc.
I still wish that the torture scene with James and Bella was longer >:0

Still, J.K. Rowling was like that with the first Harry Potter book but she got A LOT better as the series progressed

I usually relate music to everything.
Twilight/New Moon is pretty easy to put music to anyway.

I LOVELOVELOVE The Birds. I love Hitchcock period.
How can you hate it? The use of no music besides birds and other natural sounds was amazing. It made it creepy. Especially the end.

But I adore some soundtracks for movies. The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou would have been utterly different without it's soundtrack.

No music for the meadow scene, I agree. Just...forest sounds.
Or maybe nothing other than Bella and Edward. That would be very cool, very surreal.

And when she goes in the Meadow in New Moon and runs into Laurent, there won't even be breathing, just the sounds of the forest amplified till you get a claustrophobic feeling because Bella had no idea where to go

That's just cuz some writers have a lot of trouble writing gore scenes. I can't do it. How do you describe a bunch of blood all around you and the slashing and all the freaky stuff right? It would be so hard. But she does need to get better at it, it's something essential to a vampire book.

Why are we so sadistic? I'm only that once in a while, but that's due to the unforeseen laws of nature. But I'm an eternally happy child, and violence on movies and TV doesn't phaze me. Mostly cuz I rarely see any violent and or gory stuff.

Oh and Jailhouse, definitely no bg music. You sold me on the unsettling and seductive feeling. *swoons* Now I need to go and rethink my whole life and read the book with your perspective. Hmm.... I can't. Me still likey the bg music. (Currently listening to: "I Write Sins Not Tragedies". Much luves!!!)

I actually think she did an OK job with the Volturi.
I kind of skipped over the majority of that part since I hated every character there other than the Voltrui.

in New Moon when Bella is looking for the meadow, on the way back she runs into Laurent and he's thirsty, then Jacob's gang chase him off into the forest and kill him <.<

Oooooooohhhhhh riiiiiiiiight. I forgot that part cuz I only read New Moon once. And I completely ignored any part where Edward wasn't in it. Except I was required to get angry at Jacob whenever he was too friendly with Bella. That I yelled at.

Oh and I always think of songs for books. Especially this one if I'm thinking of a movie. I love background music, it sets the mood better. And I hated "The Birds". It had no sound except for that, so it really made me angry. I can't have a movie where there aren't any other sounds. It irks me. Too much silence. I even have to have bg music right now cuz silence is annoying.... Done complaining!

Oh another song: "The Kill" by 30 Seconds to Mars. Don't know why, but I like that song and sometimes it fits, I think in some dramatic scenes of the book.

Indeed! I love your ideas for the meadow scene in Twilight AND New Moon. That's how I thought them up in the first place - if they put background music there, it'll just ruin it.

And you're right again with the Volturi scene at the end of New Moon. I always thought, after working up to that point, it was going to be much more dramatic.

I didn't like the Volturi part. New Moon was actually very disappointing at the end cuz it's like the Volturi did nothing, nothing happened, people's deaths were totally like "ooh you're dead now. who cares?" and then the cliff-hanger ending just served to throw me off my bed and have me bawling on the floor (not really, but I would have done that). But I really hope things pick up in Eclipse. It needs over dramatics, and not just the "I have a hole" crap. Bella was too emo. She's the kind of character I would beat with a stick, but I still love her. It's a hateful love, or a loving hate, but she's still good!

Me too. I didn't even finish HP four cuz it started with something happening out of nowhere and Harry was nowhere to be found, so I gave up on that. And in Spanish it isn't so good. Me going to see HP$ this Saturday! W00t!
