I'm apparently too skinny to donate blood. Plus I almost pass out when they ahve to draw blood at the hospital ^^;;
I hate needles, and shots. I once was crying before my shot a few years ago and the nurse asked how old I was. My dad said "13 going on 4..."
Is type O rare? *headtilt*
Yeah, if you're under a certain weight they won't take your blood.
I don't think it would hurt you necessarily, the hospital just doesn't want you to sue them if you pass out and something bad happens to you.
They changed the weight requirements at my school my senior year and we lost so many people because of it.
If you were shorter than 5'5" you practically had to be obese to donate.
=__=;;
I hate shots, too.
But I find that if you don't look at them when they bring out the needle then you're fine.
Type O isn't rare, really.
O+ is actually the most common blood type.
O- is kind of rare, though.
Hospitals love type-O blood, so that's why donation places get all excited when they hear you have O blood.
O- is their favorite because they can give it to anybody despite what their blood type may be.
:'D
