I watched the first few episodes, but lost interest. I enjoy watching train wreck reality shows, but I couldn't get into Paris' show.
I stopped watching when I noticed I was getting pissed. Paris made all the girls dance on a strippers poll just to prove they really want to be her friend. Earth to Paris: Friends don't let friends degrade themselves like that. The only self-respecting one there was the gay guy. He absolutely refused to get up there. Though I think it's because he was afraid of being booed by all the guys watching on the sidelines at the Hard Rock Cafe. Understandable. The audience was there to watch trashy women(with god awful skinny bodies, only ONE woman had a real body that was very attractive), not a gay guy strut his stuff on stage. Paris was disappointed about him refusing to get up there. Dumb chick, srsly. She would've gotten him get booed by a bunch of homophobic dicks had he agreed to dance. =/

Good for him. Good for him. They should of changed the name of the show to Who Wants to be Paris Hilton's New Stalker.

Who Wants to be Paris Hilton's New Leech would sound much better if you ask me. None of them actually want to be her friend. Paris really has to realize this

i'd dance on a stripper pole.
    ...
but that's just because i would do it for my own enjoyment. XD

i don't necessarily find the act degrading, but that's just me...
world revolves on sex appeal, we're just numb to most of it.

Dancing on the pole as a choice in which you only find it for your own enjoyment and are not doing it for anyone else or any other reason but just to enjoy yourself is not degrading to me. Doing it just to get someone's approval is.

Edit: Getting approval from someone that you are in love with and are trying to set a certain mood to ready yourself for a certain act is fine, but getting approval in a situation like what Paris Hiltton had done is not fibe in my opinion.

She's dumber than bricks.
She's very pretty and she has this kind of angelic voice that I find very nice, but unfortunately she is dumb. I mean, she has potential. She's done some acting, and has her own role in a broadway musical, I just wish she can really realize that she has been given this talent for a reason. She's just wasting it away.
i can see in the situation for doing it for someone's approval... which ever way you go can be made into positive growth.
refusing to use the pole builds you own self independence and helps form your own person versus being someone that someone else wants you to be.
but agreeing to get on the pole can help push you out of your safe zone and expose you to something new. you're pushed up in front of an audience and you learn how to perform in front of them. from this, your comfort zone grows and you can be more open with people.

again, i don't find many things degrading. >>

*Headdesks* God my typing seriously sucks tonight. Making typos off the yin yang here. D<

Phaniee: Well, wanting to push yourself out of your comfort zone can be beneficial. So I'll say this much here. For me, it depends on the situation and the reasoning behind the persons actions. For example, real strippers only make 10% of what they earn. Though I've watched interviews on some. Some girls are only in it for the money and hate being a stripper overall, but some enjoy it because they feel the need to give love to lonely men who just can't find love elsewhere. The first situation is degrading to the woman, but the second, if they enjoy the job and just want to do it because they want to, then hey it's their life. But some of these girls on Paris' show did not do it because they were willing to try new things and broaden their horizons. They were in it because they don't want to get booted of the show so they can continue being the camera whores they have been.
and here is where we find the degrading part. xD

*Nudges Paris* C'mon, you got the money, you got the looks, you got the talent. Spring out of this vallygirl routine get into the real you.

Though I could be wrong about her. Marilyn Monroe was type casted by Hollywood, and when she tried taking roles that made her look like a scientific genious no one cared. They all wanted the bimbo. She was originally a brunette and she had a different name but she couldn't even make a dent in her acting career. It wasn't until she legally changed her name a bleached her hair that she became famous. For all I know Hollywood could be doing the same to Paris.

*Nodnod* I just don't understand some of these girls. Is leeching so important that they need to do this? I'll never understand them.
