I couldn't even hope to go to someplace like Japan right now. Takes like... 1000s of dollars to go. Especially unlikely on an hourly wage.

This is very true, but that's why you save up for that stuff. I was able to go to China last year with my school and it was pretty cool. I'm hoping to be able to find a program with Japan so I can go teach little kiddos English.
