@Kumiko: Bonfire Night has been overshadowed a lot in recent years. sweatdrop
If not by early-Christmas, then Halloween. Then again, because Halloween is fairly minor compared to Christmas, at least Bonfire Bight gets some sort of mention.

@Shi: It's a sort-of Holiday (still not entirely sure yet) celebrating the gunpowder plot of 1605. We light bonfires, have night-time barbecues, eat treacle toffee and set off fireworks. It's quite fun when it's not overshadowed enough so that no-one barely does anything. And no, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving over here.

@Shi: Thanksgiving seems to be a completely North American holiday. It's on a different date in Canada.

I scraped my knees while I was praying, And found a demon in my safest haven. Seems like its getting harder to believe in anything, and just to get lost in all my selfish thoughts.

::Osaka:
My mom called it Guy Fawkes Day. ^.^;;

And what's treacle toffee? Sounds yummy.

I wanna know what it'd be like, to find perfection in my pride.
To see nothing in the light, but turn it off in all my spite. In all my spite, I'll turn it off.

I wonder why that is?

@Shi: Treacle toffee:

Like the name suggests, it's a sweet made from black treacle that's usually eaten on Bonfire Night, and is more easily-found around that time (but I haven't seen any places selling it as of yet. They normally start towards the end of October. crying )
It's so damn good, I always stuff my face with it when it's Bonfire Night.

@Shi: I'm not sure, but I bet they have a good reason.
