Uhm. I lurked this thread's like first 8 pages...
I never watched the anime and only found the manga entertaining. I've yet to read the book on the B.B. Murder Case, though I plan on reading it some day...
Anywho, for those who care- I support all the Wammy children, especially Near and Mello (My favorite characters). L is also a favorite character and it was thanks to L I found interest in DeathNote. Spoiler (White): I saw him on the cover of the manga he died in and thought he looked amazing the way he was sitting, and I liked his hair. So, I asked my friend if I could borrow his mangas for DeathNote and I loved it. : D
I only liked Light a bit as a character in the beginning and lost all kindly emotions toward him throughout the series, Spoiler: That is, until I saw him die, then I felt pretty pitiful for him while he flailed around bloodily, and thought, even he didn't deserve it. I never found any interest in Kira and thought the whole Kira thing ridiculously stupid.
Despite my admiration of Mello and Near, I like Near's intentions above Mello's, and L's above both. Though, I thought L and Near had basically identical views and intentions.
I really liked Mikami as a kid and felt sorry for him near the end of the series, I dismiss all of his acts due to what I think was emotional harm in his younger days. Either way, I find him equally punishable as Kira/Light. (But he was cute as a kid. :'D Poor Mikami...)
I just thought Misa was like Light's sex slave and I found her pretty dorky but kinda kawaii sometimes... I thought Ryuk and Rem were fun characters whenever they piped up. Takada and Matt were awfully minor in my opinion, Spoiler: though I felt dreadful when Matt died in the first two pages of the last volume, and I still have no opinion on Takada, for I've put very little thought into her. Also, I LOVE Matsuda. : D
As for shipping, I only support NearxMello. Yeah, I'm gay, leave me alone. ._. THANK YOU FOR READING MY VERY LENGTHY RANT, buh-bye. : D
