Twilight is a better version of vampire love than most. the ones I read prevouisly to Twilight sucked campared with it. You dont get a better vampire love story with out bunches of hideous gore, at least where i come from.

*Luffs Feeglie* Heya! I read your story, but I won't comment now because I have the worst headache and can't form a coherent sentenceXD I will say that it was good, and are you lookin' for comments or (completely constructive) writing crits? 'Cause, when the headache goes, I can give either biggrin

And I was also wondering about the name "Feegle". Are you a Pratchetteer, or is it coincedence or what?
I'm trying not to go to much into editor mode right now, so it's probably best to go mild on the crit until I'm done with the whole story. I hope your headache goes away.

I meant to comment on the Feegle thing earlier, but I forgot. sweatdrop Yes, it is a reference to The Wee Free Men. Yes, I am an obsessed Terry Pratchett fan. I've read all the Discworld books multiple times. I love the way he can be serious and deep yet utterly hilarious at the same time. My dream vacation would be to go to the Discworld convention. Sadly, it's in England.
Spaazzy: I was inspired by Twilight to write my own vamp romance, and theirs will be much more functional. Not without quirk, of course, but they won't abuse eachother much. If what you say is true, however, I'm glad I've stayed away from the genre thus far biggrin

@Feegle: My headache has mostly gone away by now (Dero's voice is magical, I tell you, magical), but I'll still wait 'till tomorrow. At which point I will give you a wonderful half-critique, half-affirmation that will make you l33tly-skillfull and more self-confident than anyone has the right to be wink ...Don't ask, I'm on Dero-high and not quite coherent biggrin

And the fact that you love Terry Pratchett is awesomely bestest! Let's go to a convention/signing, yeah! And while I'm in Europe, I'll make a detour to Germany and kidnap Dero... ninja

I LUFFs Pratchette! Met him twice, got to have tea with him the first time. That man is a genius.

Oh, and I never got your story... Please send! crying
I read the book for about an hour and enjoyed it until the story got to Edward and his friends. After that I kept zoning out and wasn't able to read past the part where Bella describes Edward for three pages.

Oh, oops, sorry about that. I'll send it now. Also, I'll hate you for the rest of my life for getting to meet Pratchett. Ok, not really hate. But I'm jealous anyway.
Aw, man, all you people are Discworld fans. Which is a good thing, other than the fact that Feegle's been in freak out mode already about getting enough money to go to the Discworld convention.
Thought it is unsurprising that fans of the Discworld series wouldn't be a fan of a medeocre book like Twilight. I haven't finished it yet, but the Suburban...it's clausterphobic. The way Meyer completely misuses words drives me insane! Oh, I wish Edwards eyes would smolder, I wish...
I'm ashamed to say that the only reason I even picked up twilight was that the cover looked pretty...

When I did begin reading, however, I quickly realized that it was rather good. Yeah, it's cliched, and yeah, it seemed a bit redundant, but I'm a hopeless romantic and the loveship was amusing.
If nothing else, Twilight and New Moon were effortless reads.

Yeah, all of us, umm, "cruel crutiques" are used to better books ^_^ I've only read two and a half Terry Pratchets, but I liked them. One of which (The Amazing Maurice...) is one my top 5 favorite books.

And McFeegle? Your story rocks. I lauged, then I searched for a link to the next chapter. I want to read more!

I don't need bunches, but it bothers me that only one person died in a vampire novel(I'm assuming vampire = supposed to be horror), and it was the villian. Pheh.
Pratchett Fans, Unite! eek

I'm actually fine with vampires not being all horrorible, but they have to be funny or humanish or something. For instance, Pratchett-vampires don't go around killing people, but they're funny and practically human anyway. What bothers me is that Meyer's vampires have the right tone for death and stuff, but never pull through.

I know, that's why I was unsurprised. It actually made me laugh. Just like I figure if Feegle does get her book published, most Twilight fans wouldn't realize it's a Twilight parody becasue they obviously don't think enough whilst reading to realize. But, yeah. Terry Pratchett rules.
And Feegle, show me the second chapter, okay?

Yes! Unite!

I love the vampires in Pratchett novels. Especially Otto. The Cullens would be so much better if only they were part of the Temperance League. Black Ribboners also unite!

I'm glad you liked it. I've been working on it a lot recently, so I should have the next chapter done soon.
Okay, Taffy_Jae here. I just changed my name so I thought I'd let you know it's me! (It's kind of a weird story if you'd like to hear it.)

I myself have only read one of Terry Pratchets...'s (GAH!) books, only to find that there were two or three before it...
