What I like about it..? xD Let's see... The list is very short. For me, having read a few other vampire novels, this one surprised me that it didn't have as much intimate romance as all the others. It had more plot than intimate romance. Laurell K. Hamilton for example, has a tendency to put too much romance into her book. You want someone that's cliche, please, read something of hers in the Anita Blake series. You'll want to shoot yourself. I couldn't get beyond the second book without puking. Hence why I stopped reading her work.

I DID like Carlisle's history. That was a nice touch.

Yes! Carlise's history was amazing. But then again, all the characters sort of had an interesting touch to them. I did like how all the characters came from very different backgrounds (duh), and a lot of it had to do with historical events.

I agree that she made them too perfect. I did enjoy the descriptions though. She at least didn't do what the Fanfic writers do when they want to make the characters cooler and give them better clothes and make them even more perfect. >.>

I totally just created a thread in the Stephenie Meyer guild about critiques on the book... I'll tell you guys what happens. xD

I was just waiting for a thread that discusses the flaws of Twilight.

I've been hearing so much hype about it I was thinking about borrowing it from a friend... and I will probably still do that. I'm a sap at heart.

I kept seeing threads where everyone was praising it... and half of them have no reason for the praise.

So I was worried that it would be like another Eragon...

You know. Everyone loves it when it first comes out, and then suddenly the majority of people hate it.

That would have been a huge letdown after how much praise I've been hearing.

Now I've got reasonable expectations.

Yeah, I was really happy she didn't draw too much attention to clothing. If only she'd toned down Eddie's descriptions though.
