I'm not sure what your problem is. I guess I've been very lucky that so far most of the fans that have posted their opinions here have been civil.

I don't understand why you're so upset that some of us don't like this book. Think about it. I'm sure that you've complained about a book or movie or a song that you didn't like before.

I'm not flaming this book. We're discussing it's flaws. Nowhere did I insult Mrs. Meyer or any of her fans. You're not going to change anyone's opinion by responding to our critique the way you are. If you would like to defend your opinion in a mature way, feel free to join our discussion.

People are like that. Sure, they can get all defensive, but that doesn't mean they should completely disrespect you of your opinion. It's your freedom of speech, and they should just deal.

Opinion writers for newspapers get criticized all the time, but they put themselves out there for it. It's their job. Same with movie, book, music and food critics.

It'd be wise to have a good argument before opening ones mouth. But they shouldn't be so rude when trying to debate with you.

Like, debating with you, I could tell you were right, and that there were things to change. I couldn't come up with a good enough argument and just chose to give in. XD But I could see exactly what you meant, and that when people post to defend something, they really have to know what their talking about. Umm... let me think.

Oh, this is bugging me for a while. Many fans argue that the vampires in Twilight define a lot of cliches. This is very true. However, she made them Marry-Sue vampies.

For example...
...They can go out in the day (as long as it's not too bright, then they sparkle xp )
...It's much harder to kill them (no stakes)
... They don't need to kill people
... No fangs (well, they haven't been mentioned yet)

These, are wimp vampires.

What I like about it..? xD Let's see... The list is very short. For me, having read a few other vampire novels, this one surprised me that it didn't have as much intimate romance as all the others. It had more plot than intimate romance. Laurell K. Hamilton for example, has a tendency to put too much romance into her book. You want someone that's cliche, please, read something of hers in the Anita Blake series. You'll want to shoot yourself. I couldn't get beyond the second book without puking. Hence why I stopped reading her work.
