I haven't gotten to the point where Ed gets annoyed with Bella, but it's about damn time, seeing as I'm 300 pages in. There need to have been internal problems by now and there haven't. Simply put, it's a bad basis for a relationship.
...Okay, so what you're saying is... Because the story is Bella's POV, we should be able to see how Edward is in his head...? Bella can't read his mind, so that's not possible. Hence, you can't see this part of Edward.
You shouldn't really judge a book right away without finishing it. Sure, you can judge it along the way, but you shouldn't judge it before you reach the end. That makes no sense. You haven't even gotten through the whole story.
Have you ever noticed that you know how some people think? Like, your best friends? Even strangers occaisionally? That's because people give themselves away, in plenty of ways. Through action and reaction, and especially through dialouge. There are
dozens of techniques a good author will use to show how their characters work.
