If you're under the age of 18 you have to be home by 11:00 p.m. in South Dakota. Yeah, it is supposedly all about freedom, but children don't have a choice in the matter, we can't be free until we're actual adults. Oh well, I never really go outside, because when I do, stuff like running into the cops happens.
Yesterday the twig was brown and bare; To-day the glint of green is there; Tomorrow will be leaflets spare;

Chicago has a smiliar law although during weekdays Kids under 18 have to be indoors by 10:30 PM Monday-Friday and by 11:00 on Weekends. The reason for this is because Chicago has a huge increase in Gang-related violence and many of the victims are under 18, so to make sure the kids are safe they have to be home before a certain time.
I know no thing so wondrous fair; No miracle so strangely rare; I wonder what will next be there!

So that's the reason. I'm still not 100% sure about my state. I've only been here for about four years, so I'm not all that accustomed to South Dakota.
O.O I've never heard of laws like that here. I grew up in a small town near Montreal. There were definitely no curfews... Montreal doesn't have curfews either.
I honestly don't know if there's a curfew law here or not... It was never an issue with me, because well, I never really went out at night when I was younger, unless I was with the youth group... So, I'm not sure, because if I was going out, I'd tell my mom I'd be back by 10:30 or 11:00 at the latest at different times, and most of the time, I'd show up even earlier.
XD I was never one for staying out late at night... Staying UP all night is a completely different story though. XD
I was pretty much a loner through most of HS... None of the other kids in the youth group I was in at the time went to the same school as me, but a lot of times I'd still go, when they'd get together to go do something for their school. It was funny though, sometimes they'd drag me along, and I'd wear my school jacket to their school events, when our schools were actually rivals. XD
My friends didn't care though, and they thought it was cool to bring someone with a rival jacket along to some of the events. XD
But other than that, we really didn't get out much at all. It was about six boys and me in the youth by the time my age group hit. XD

My dad is leaving to go back to South Dakota to work.
I feel bad for him.
Last week I went with my mom to visit him while I was there.
There wasn't really much to see while there. Did go see the corn palace.
That was pretty neat.

It is boring, but I mainly stay indoors, so, bleh, such a boring life I have.
I used to discribe my town as a small town in the middle of nowhere.
Now that I have been there I feel like my town is huge to tell you the truth.
I mean it was pretty but it was so empty besides the fields of cows and stuff.
