You know a Grunny is just a Gru with a nny tacked on the end.
So maybe if you want to avoid being eaten by a GRUnny you should avoid going into dark places without a torch or a flashlight.
(bonus points if you understand the Gru reference.)
Never in my life did I notice that a grunny is a GRUnny! So is that what a Gru looks like? I would never have known!
"It is dark, you are likely to be eaten by a Gru"
Apparently I failed at witty reference to old game. I did some looking and apparently the Grues in Zork have an E at the end. It's been a lot of years since I played Zork. I believe I was first eaten by a grue in the early 80's.
Probably Grunny just came from "green bunny". But I like my version better. smile
I have no idea where this came from (I got it from Wikipedia - Zork folk lore - but)
"While the juveniles are almost transparent, adults are dark brown and covered with a gelatinous sheath."
There are other descriptions but it was getting too long to quote. see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grue_(monster)
Also, not sure if it is coincidence or an oblique nod to Zork but -
"Gru", is the main protagonist in Despicable Me. Gru is a 50-year-old man who wishes to be the world's #1 villain.
