Fight the inevitable?

Taigeku must have been distracted by Terra's beauty, for he hadn't noticed the opposing force constructing some sort of giant machine. Taigeku pondered idly... Why would they bring something so massive to my home? It is obvious that they want a fight, but against what? And for what reason? Do war mongers need a reason?

It mattered not, it only mattered that Terra was unharmed in his home, for he was expendable, and she was not. As he thought of the potential destruction of Terra, his eyes grew furious and he floated into the air, some twenty feet above the ground, easily visible to opposing force. He cautiously raised his right hand and beckoned with his first finger that he was ready.

Taigeku subconsciously took not of his presence, but obviously had other problems. He spoke telepathically to Marty, telling him to greet this visitor with kindness and give him whatever was available.

Vlad walked slowly towards the epicenter of the dead zone and smiled slightly.

Terra was seemingly in a daze, her gold eyes just watching as Taigeku rose him. Blinking, she now took note of his anger, and was curious as to why exactly.

Something being built, and her eyes widend slightly. She had also noticed another presence approaching, but it wasn't a huge machine in the middle of being built. Now at the peak of her curiosity, she turned, and stepped towards where she could see it being built. Like a bug heading towards a bright light, not really taking into account that the machine could be against them.

Vlad sniffed the air and could smell other ppl in this area. "Why would anyone stay in this cursed place?", he thought to himself.

Marty:

No sooner had Vlad spoken, then Marty came bumbling up behind him. If Vlad couldn't hear his heavy footfalls, or strenuous breathing, then he could surely smell Marty. Through no teeth and a slur of words he murmured.

"No one can anyway.... the radiation is too high. I hope you have a Geiger counter on you."

Taigeku hovered just behind her. He was fast enough to protect her, if she even need it. He calmly waited for his opponents response.

((Can I ask you to please remove that picture, or provide a smaller version, as to not stretch my thread. Thank you))

Taigeku took note of yet another presence and hoped that Marty would follow suit and greet this visitor. He flashed a mental picture, taken from the man's subconsciousness mind of how he saw himself. He silently pondered momentarily on why people were interested in coming to his destroyed home.

Taigeku's focus wasn't much swayed from the giant death machine conjured by his immediate opponent. He would greet this man with his mind.

If the man's mind was susceptible to telepathic messages, then he would hear a faint whisper:
"Why have you come?"
