Awakens from his slumber with a jolt, sitting straight up, he had a nightmare about n00bs conquering the world. It frightened him to the point where he was still trying to figure out if it was real or not, and now sitting up he realizes that he is still in the living quarters and not being overtaken by n00bs who want to netspeak him to death.
"I'm... Wow, I need to stop sleeping." He looked at his surroundings, they were the same as before, and nothing had changed. It was just a dream, a terrible awful dream. one that hopefully wasn't an omen of the near future. He got up out of the bed, and went outside to stretch, using his right hand to open the rather heavy steel door. Once outside, stretching in the light breeze was simple, just his left arm first, reaching into the blue crystal clear sky, and then his right, doing the same. He stands on his toes to stretch his legs, and with one final yawn continues about his buisness, walking towards the field infront of the facility in a rather upbeat and energized fashion. |

Under a tree a dark silhouette appeared, It took the form of a tall man standing 5'4ft tall. The silhouette extended and constricted revealing, the fine eleven features of the man. His striking features are sharp and well proportioned, his stalk white hair fell upon his shoulders as a silver river, his lavender eyes revealed a luster burning within the Drow, they pierced ahead in the dark, as the Drow moved on. His fur-collared green forest cloak pulled tightly above his head only revealing his lavender eyes, gazing upon the morning light. His strides took him around the forest with deadly pace, using the shadows as his home, he moved about un-noticed. His high boots barely picked up the dust as the drow moved on. Any mere human would have simply mistaken the drow as a mere allusion for his graceful pace seemed unreal, as it made it way across the fields.

Wandering through the area of the vicinity seeing cobwebs among other things in the area Drake pauses in a hallway and wonders what occured. It appears that no one has been here for ages, but that could be a good thing, all the defenses seemed to be a little rusty. Even with that being true he was an actual member; perhaps if he found a sword or something in the training area he could use it.
That is where his feet were headed now; the training area. He took in all the sights of the buildings, perfectly standing with vines on them suggesting that this place had not been disturbed for some time. He continued to walk insearch of something like a sword to aide him on his quests. |

I bet something is in the armory... Not that I can get in there.
Drake reached the training facility and with little hesitation moved up to and opened the front door. The first floor of the area had nothing more than a simple mat with alot of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling; in truth this place made Drake slightly uneasy, but he moved on anyway towards the second floor staircase. His feet and footfall were silent as he drew closer to the second floor in this windowless building; if something happened he'd have to fight his way out. |

The second floor; his target area was just a large heap of spiderwebs and he watched as creatures wove into and out of the festering pile of debris. Something was here and he wasn't alone, he could feel its movements above him; however there were no weaponary here so he decided that its best to leave. With that he turned around not seeing the sword rack on the other side of debris and creatures; the little insects made him lose his nerve and he sped off down the stairs.
Of course, who thought that the creature would know he was there too, and with a nice crashing sound the abandoned training building became a real battle ground. The thing was huge, whatever it was, and it looked cruel as if ready to eat or maim Drake just for the fun of it. He smacked himself in the middle of his head with his palm hitting it and shook his head; how did he always get into these messes. He should leave these places alone. Four legs, at least 25' tall, and a major bad attitude along with piercing red eyes. Of course now it was dark, the thing messed up the eletrical wiring and hell the lights as well. There was Drake, this thing, and something else, no more than one something else, lots of little something elses. Drake was starting to lose his ability to concentrate as the figure who was basically invisible in the dark and probably had sharp fangs and claws to boot could see Drake perfectly fine. He had to think of something fast... |

{Alright.}
Drake tried to keep it together; of course since all the eletricity was out on this floor he couldn't see the door out. He thought on this but a roar interrupted him, a familar roar from somewhere... Even so he didn't wait to find out, using heightened senses he could hear the pathetic claw attacks and easily dodges them moving less than a foot at a time. Drake had forgoten about the little things on the floor and coming from other destinations, one of them was on his shoulder and he emitted a short surprised yell flicking it off. His clothing, pants basically felt heavier; there were crawling up his pants. No thought he ripped the things off of his body and levitated using the wind around him to keep himself up. What do you know, the littler things can jump; while alot were repelled by the force of the air being pushed out some jumped onto Drake's bare skin as he fought the larger thing as well. Drake didn't think this was going well at all, he swatted them off getting the joy of having bites and teeth in his skin at a regular rate; it hurt like hell but he showed no signs of pain due to being in an adreneline packed fight with alot of things. He was outnumbered and fear was starting to get to him. And to make it worse, another pair of red eyes was seen in the hole in the ceiling, but those red eyes would be Drake's savior, or at least chance. The roof; Drake could gout by getting to the roof of the what the hell ever infested building. How he was going to do that would be first to fly to the second floor, that would help, but there were no more holes and the staircases had to be crawling with these things; either way he would have to brave them. He had no choice, as usual. |

So this is why the place is abandoned; an infestation.
Drake finally got enough of evading and the creature swepts its leg in a downward motion; Drake took this prime oppurtunity once it hit the floor to punch its leg with a right fist that could break diamond. It was hard, there was a snapping sound, and Drake was satisfied; for a second. "Holy s**t! AHHHH!" The red eyed creature wasn't harmed in the least; or at least it still had its leg. Drake broke his own right hand like an idiot against this things skin and that hurt, alot. Breathing in and out Drake didn't have time to be in pain and supressed it using his monk ability to keep him calm. It hurt but he couldn't allow himself to be debihalitated by it; however he wasn't winning. Escape really was his only option now. With that he blasted off towards the second floor; doing his best not to hit the ceiling after his nearly fatal greeting with a large sweeping claw. Little bug things still crawling on him and now two huge things, one downstairs and one on the second floor he was one did not spell out victory. Atop that he would have to find the doorway, he could do this, he knew how, but it would take something a little more than feeling around in the facility; the walls had to be covered in whatever these little things were, even if they were bare he just couldn't take the chance that they weren't. He was now in more pain, too many bites on his legs were going untreated, a deep breath and right after an attack he used his ability to control the muscles and key points in the body called chakra to heal the largest bite. Thats all he could do, one at a time, but in the time he was healing one he got three; it proved pointless. He just did what he had to do now; listened. |

Drake listened to the wind the legs that were being swung at him generated; using it as sonar he would follow the wind to the point where it took longest to hit a wall. And with that he flew off towards the point, but he had no choice but to go up the stair wells; even if there was an elevator the damned thing would have no power, and who could guess what would be in that shaft with him? No the stairs were the best way but he didn't nod at this conclusion, he was halfway across the room already.
The third floor stairwell, it was quite calm for a moment; he sensed things in the room but none on the floor. He took this chance to use chakra a few times healing about perhaps 10% of his injuries only to find himself dodging a claw again that was stuck in the wall. It made a hole, as if accidently mocking Drake of the freedom outside this hellish nightmare, in the wall which was just enough to let light in. Lo and behold; the things that weren't on the floor were on the ceiling, and the claw had caused them to rain down, all while Drake was in the damn shaft and he coudln't run back into the other room since he could see teeth with what little light entered the hole; a large mouth with rows and rows of corroded sharp teeth. Drake keep your cool, you can do it, keep you s**t! Drake was ripping something from the top of his head, the rain had reached his level of the stairwell, and this would not be pretty; he punched at the creatures with his left hand to ward them off in mid-fall and used his broken right hand, despite how much it hurt, to slap them off his body. A "huge" one fell on Drake's forehead and bit his skin, that was it, Drake couldn't take anymore. After grabbing the little natural b*****d and throwing it into a wall which produced the satisfying sound of something being splattered Drake was getting furious. He took in deep breaths and blasted up the well with his left hand out breaking through the stairs rather than climbing them, he had to get out of there as quickly as possible. The door to the third floor however had light coming from under it; there was light up there, and the things didn't seem to like light at all; or so he hoped. |

The thrid floor door broke off its hinges and there was light within the room; Drake could 'rest' before going on. He bagan treating his wounds and when he got to about 30%, which made up about all of the wounds above his legs, black claw ripped through the floor. Then another, did the same, and Drake wondered what they hell they were doing. He could see on this floor; there was light, the lightbulbs burned bright... then he looked up. There were no lightbulbs; it was a living organism in a cacoon. Drake was losing tolerance for all these bug things; there were no other creatures here, but there would be soon; this was the heart of the nest after all.
Wasting no time Drake ran for the stair well a little slower than usual, actually it was alot slower since his legs were starting to give way from eithe being weary, being injured so much, or perhaps a poison released from the critters; either way it didn't matter, Drake's legs weren't functioning at maximum capacity. He reached the fourth floor stairwell only to find two more of the huge things in the unlit area, this time however they wouldn't move from the middle of the shaft, Drake was forced to turn around due to this complete blockage since he wouldn't be able to force his way through. At least he wasn't going to try, he just couldn't afford to break both hands. Now on the third floor with razor sharp claws sticking out in a can opener design Drake guessed they were purposely tearing up the floor to get to him, if Drake could only do something to slow them down. At that moment Drake had another "If he only knew.." idea, the cacoons on the ceiling! If he made then drop it might impede their arrival, or at least crush them under the wall. Drake began getting to work punching a cacoon when he caught a glimpse of some red eyes; too late was he however as a nice claw barely misses his aorta and throat due to his haste, but got his left shoulder. One of his arms were completely useless now; and it was the "good" one too. he didn't scream or yell, he muffled himself in his mind and kept calm; he had to, that was all he could do if he wanted to survive. Now in dire pain he snickered to himself as the first cacoon dropped through the floor; even though the room did get darker when he did this. I'll need all the drugs they've got at the lab, every last herb, and just about everything else too. I better get some beer or sake for this... He was weary of the other cacoons, he carefully destroyed the next cacoon only to get another surprise; the acid which was inside. Sucking air through his teeth to soothe the sudden burning on the little bites in his leg the acid and undeveloped creature fell to the floor along with the cacoon. This didn't mean much until he say that the holes stopped and on the floor layed some creature, claws and all, with a huge burn in it. Dead, that was its status as no life force could be felt from it. Drake however wondered why the acid didn't have the same effect on him, but of course he was only hit with a little as he backed away almos instatnly, and maybe the major burns and the fact that alot of him already hurt seemed to help him deal with it, the acid did have the same effect on his shoes however; they were gone. If only I could get that on the ceiling, that acid... Drake was in the air well off the ground, but it wasn't too bright anymore and alot of the creatures appeared to be able to stand the light and were crawling again towards him, this included the other large beast as he floated in the center of the room surrounded by five cacoons. |

That might work, but only if its from underneath; I'd have to move fast enough to survive, I'd have to be on the second floor...
Backtracking was never something Drake enjoyed doing; however this was one time when what he wanted to do and what he needed to do just had no coexistance whatsoever. He either did it or died; this wasn't the most awesome pair of choices but sometimes choices weren't awesome. Drake didn't wait for him to clear his head of these bullshit thoughts; he needed to get out, not think. He would have time for philosophy later on in the safety of some hospital somewhere. For now he was going to fulfill his plan and attempt to blow the cacoon upwards; which would work, or should work anyway. Flying quickly down to the second floor aquiring a few more bites he concentrated and fired a simple blast of spiritual energy which was too small to see clearly. Cacoon number one exploded but the acid fell towards him and he dodged effectively; there was another hole in the floor again. He concentrated again for some time attaining more scars and scrapes from teeth as he built up the energy for an orange sized spirit shot. It hit its target and while it was completely sucessful Drake had yet another problem. There was a hole in the thrid floor ceiling but that means that the ceiling is coming down, and he was down, this was not good. Due to the large creature being dead all he could do was look around for something. The hole; it would be what prevented his death as he frantically looked. He saw it but automatically levitated and flew to the small hole the creature who punctured the second stairwell made ad flew towards the stairwell. Yes he had made it and survived, however a few chunks of ceiling got to him; they stuck out of his right leg and he couldn't move it. Running was now out of the choices of movement; he would have to fly, this disabled him from using more shots since all his energy would be focused on flight. A deep breath and he sped out of the stairwell swatting as many creatures off his body as possible; he couldn't feel his legs, the little things ate through the nerves. His chest, head, and back was all he was fighting for now, the things on his legs he couldn't do anything about. He shot straight upward towards the fourth floor, and to his surprise nothing was there; apparently the fact that the skyroof was on this floor detered their living there. The things in the third floor stairwell weren't protecting the fourth floor, they were protecting the lower floors. Sunlight hit his face as the windows in the room were dancing with much needed light from his being in the dark. It was blinding but Drake stopped and watched as the things on his body jumped off and left. Either they hated the sun or he was in trouble. Of course, Drake wasn't alone in this room. Something else lived here, and the glass being built as defense would be too hard for him to break in his current condition. He just made his way to the roof stairwell though, the other creature in the building didn't seem interested in him in the least. Four flights of stairs and he was free; it was over, he had survived whatever infested the area. He didn't get to far, he collapsed on the top of the building and would remain there for hours, but he made it; as the smile slowly faded from his face while consciousness abandoned him on the roof his breathing slowed and he was out cold. |
