As soon as the door shut, again, the temperature seemed to rise dramatically in the small confines of the elevator.
Willow let out a small sigh. At least that awkward situation was over.
Listening intently to Desecrator, the woman nodded slowly, once, and then twice.
She understood. It was as she had said before. He was not as he was in the former timeline.
But now, once again, she was left with a dilemma. Where did she go?
"...are there any other places of...significance?"
The picture was a fuzzy one, but the basic storyline was there. She knew what had happened, and why. But... it felt like something else was missing: her own personal link to this place...and Desecrator himself.
She watched him intently. Patiently.

{ I go in for surgery early tomorrow morning. It shouldn't be too severe, but for the next few days, I'm not too sure how coherent I'll be. I'll make my best effort to keep up with ya, 'Bliv.
Sorry I didn't give you more of a heads up. X_x s'been a hectic week. }

As the elavator continues to rise...

"Well, this entire builing must hold significance. That false god is here... I suggest you search the rooms, if only to trigger any thoughts that you should not be thinking... I'll just, tag along."

((wooo wee still with that old avy eh? Oblivionic. Just decided to check up on gaia and noticed the free for all section is defiled by gold begging snakes.))

((Well, hey, how's it been, guy-who-created-otogakure-but-then-got-pwned?))

{Sorry for the wait. Gonna do a shorter post tonight. Still a little bit on the dizzy side. }

Willow pressed the button for the top floor. She figured working her way down would be best. Less wasted effort. As the elevator rose, she turned to look at Desecrator. She opened her mouth once, and shut it, pursing her lips as if debating on a question that was at the tip of her tongue. A few minutes later, she let out a breath, her inward debate apparently over.
"..How is it, that you came to be here at this place? Do you recall?"
The floor below her feet suddenly stopped moving. They had reached the top floor. The doors slowly creaked open..

Desecrator's eyes carefully survey Willow as she first attempts to speak, then stalls. As the door opens, he follows her out of the elevator and replies.

"...Odd question... You see, this is the first abandoned town I came upon that had no prior plans laid for it. So I claimed it and made it the base of my organization: STAG. The location, so strongly tied to that-which-never-was, only reinforces my theory that I was both the cause and effect - the reason for the need to alter reality itself, and the means by which it could be done."

If she didn't know better, she would say that he was making himself sound like a bigot. However, she knew this wasn't the case. She cautiously bit down on her lip, and released it. He was right. He almost had to be the cause for all the events that had... never been. She noted that the top floor was the third. Stepping out onto the flattened, and decaying carpet of the old hotel, she also noted that most of the doors to the rooms seemed to be in tact. However, that was not what piqued her interest. She saw on a little plaque, most likely hung on the wall for guests, that said Observation Room. What kind of hotel had an Observation Room? Without much hesitance she approached the door, while responding to Desecrator.
"...STAG. Acronym, I take it?"
It was odd that she asked, considering she had already mentioned STAG before, albeit unconsciously.
She reached for the door handle (which hissed oddly under her palm) and pushed door open.

"Of course! The Silent Tactical Assault Group. We specialized in destruction through covert means. Mostly bio-terrorism. You see, I used to have quite the angsty attitude toward life. 'Everyone must die', if you follow. Heh, well, I'm still like that, just no longer actively pursuing those ends. Afterall, I have an eternity to watch existence crumble into nothing..."

The last sentence carries with it a menace that had not-so-far revealed itself. And he watches Willow blankly. What would they find in this room?

Oblivionic Desecration
