(( gonk ...))

((I don't forget my grudges, chrjo12.
However, my time reversal was due in part to my desire to let go of the past, and other such trivialities.))

((I remember you Chrjo12.

We fought a few times, I believe.

No harm no foul. You know, we could use extra bodies))

Taigeku could easily read Jessica's brainwaves, and sensed a delight in her unprotected thoughts. She was content with the fight they had had, and so was he, she proved a lot stronger than she use to be.

Jessica simply sat and stared into the sky...Why was there next to no one here, she had only encountered two creatures so far, one was a man, the other was something else entierly. Squinting then turning her gaze to a building to her left, not for any particular reason other then to have something to do. Not that it cured her growing bordem.

She sighed and continued to sit, she had walked for a while, following the energies of two creatures, powerful creatures...But now one had dissapeared and the other was moving away from her. It was not like she didn't want to investigate them, but she was just too damn lazy to chase after them. If they had stayed put then she would have continued moving towards them, alas it was not to be.

The man Taigeku was still here too, he was not too far from her, but she had already encountered him...Maybe she should go and play some more games. He was more than capable of giving her a good exercise.

She sat some more, mulling over her thoughts....

You are so awsome!!! Thank you sooo much.
Donated angelicheadband!!

She cocked an eyebrow, about to ask him a question, when her mouth firmly shut as he left her. Alone. To swim across a ******** lake.
It was time to find a boat...
With a wordless sigh, she pursed her lips, and headed for the shore of the lake. Maybe she could find something on the shore...

...just a half-sunken row boat with only one oar...

Meanwhile, Desecrator waits on the other shore in front of the hotel.

Taigeku had been monitoring the conversation of the two for some time, chuckling and often reflecting on what he heard. After the woman (Lykios) had thought she was out of an option, Taigeku casually focused his mind to the surroundings about her and constructed a makeshift raft to cross the water.

Have fun

Upon the finding of the rowboat, she assessed the damage, and wasn't pleased to find that the boat was not only not sea-worthy, but didn't have both oars.
Irksome.
She explored the beach a little more, but couldn't find anything to patch the holes with that would hold up for all the way across the lake.
She could swim... but something didn't sit right with her about that idea. What lurked beneath the surface, was unknown, or at least, now it was.
Another thought came to her, but the amount of energy and concentration it would take to do, was more effort than it was worth.
She looked back at the boat, and then to the sea....

______________

A half hour later

The boat was no longer a boat. With the true spirit of the adaptable human ingenuity, it had become a small raft, not much larger than her own body, and probably easy to tip if she wasn't careful, but it would serve it's purpose. Using the small raft, she sat down, grabbed the oar, and shoved off from the shore.

Taigeku closed his eyes momentarily.

I'm needed elsewhere.

With a blip, he was gone.

Lykaios makes way across the lake without incident. Once or twice she thinks she sees something moving in the water; but aside from the eery dead-stillness of the lake, it's perfectly normal.

As she nears the shore, Desecrator steps up to the water's edge and offers a hand to help her onto land.

"Would've been quicker to swim than drift that water-logged raft here..."

(assuming Lykaios took the help) Des then turns and points boldly at the lakeview hotel standing before them.

"Does the mere sight of that structure stir any should-be-forgotten memories?"

((Anduu is not me. Anduu is Rei.))

Wordlessly, she accepts the hand, something akin to approval drifting unsuredly through her eyes. After disembarking, the woman drags the raft single handed up onto the shore to ensure that it wouldn't drift away with the rise and fall of the tide. Her eyes moved back to the waters, as if transfixed by the small waves.
"True. But I would have been far more vulnerable to attack that way."
Paranoia?
No, simple instinctual self-preservation.
Seeing his hand move to point at something in the distance, her eyes drift to structure of the hotel, and she stands in an uncertain silence.
"It...reminds me of nothing..."
She frowned. Should it have?
It was obviously important if he had made the point to come all the way out here to show it to her.

((I don't understand your reason for clarification, chrjo. This is not news to me.))

Des drops point and turns back to face her.

"Nothing at all?... Well, let us go have a look inside, then, shall we?"

He abruptly turns about once again and heads for the hotel. With the suddenness in which he proceeds, one might assume that he is here for more than Lykaios' curiosity.
...
Entering the hotel lobby through the front double doors reveals a run-down desk covered in dust and blood. The entire place appears to have been abandoned well over fifty years ago. And yet, would not a building pertinent to memory be in better care, or atleast showing more signs of use than disuse?

1st floor
2nd floor
3rd floor
basement

It took more than a moment for her to follow.
Hesitance.
Something...felt off. Was this maybe what she was supposed to feel?
It had happened before. Fear of the unknown?
Or was it and understood of dread?
She took the necessary steps forward, until she stood in the doorway looking in. Her entire being stilled. Dried, rotten blood and mildew flooded her senses.
A step back.
"...what the hell is this."
It was more a rhetoric, than a true question.
Willow didn't want to know.
Taking a breath in, she gagged, and quickly covered her mouth. It reminded her of the Empires, in a way. Yet, the scent was fresh there, not this stale horror, frozen in time.
Firmly covering her nose, she stepped inside, her eyes focused on the cloak in front of her.
The lobby felt... like nothing. New to her, entirely. Or was it? Once again she felt like she was missing something.
"...Where to?" She called to Desecrator. He seemed to know his way around. Then again, much like the street she had come across him on, this was a part of his domain, so of course he would.

"-The basement."

His words nearly overlap hers; perhaps startling in how he anticipated her question. Or maybe there is something more to him than was before.

"That is where I ... sense, something that should not be here."

Without further words, he heads past the desk, for the stairs. Though, he continues to the side and then to the back. Feeling with his hands, he finds a seam and pries it open with his claw-like nails to reveal a hidden door. There, an elevator. Standing back, he motions for Willow to enter.

"After you..."
