Jessica kept true to her word and returned...Standing in the main street leading into the eastern part of the city she sighed. He had not returned yet...Not that it should matter to her, during her long absense she had never forgotten this place, not once. Yet now she was back there was a strange sense of lonelyness, being used to seeing strange creatures walking about and of course the stench of death, decay...and burning flesh....(Such as my own...)

She started walking further into the city, hoping he or somjeone familiar would show up soon, in her current form she would probably not be recognised...so as she walked her body began to morph..the sound of breaking bones and tearing flesh broke the erie silence, her new form was that of a beautiful silver wolf, the same form she had when she first came here.

Deciding it was time to anounce her arrival she lifted her head to the sky and let out a long mournful howl that would send shivers up one spine. She was finally home, her black pupless eyes glowed with a growing menace as she continued on her way...deeper into the city.

No need to heed the call...

He was already there.

But where is there?
Here, or nowhere?

No voice in response, just a 'feeling' that Jessica is not alone...

There was nothing special about this man whom approached. Dirty, long hair, a filling out beard, shirt less and sporting dirty skinny jeans without shoes. Littered with various tattoos, he casually strolled through the city (?), humming some unrecognizable tune, his lazy eyes scanning for any sort of movement.

If there were people or creatures about, he payed them little heed.

He wasn't sure why he was constantly called to this place, by his inner psyche but whatever happens, usually ends with a bang.

((Holy jebus, its been forever! Interact with me, I'm bored as tits))

Jessica froze, her hackles rising as she let out a low threatening growl....She could sense someone....or something...It had to be ...
Lost in thought her attention was suddenly caught by a lone man...Not particualy old nore young. She licked her lips before loping off in his general direction. Always being the curious type she couldn't resist a new toy to play with.

Her powerful body glistened in the grey light as she picked up speed, knowing she would be greeting the man very soon.

A mist, incredibly localised, -more of a rolling patch of fog really-, creeps along the ground well away from those conversing on and traversing the ruined remains of a once-proud city. The skulking, misshapen forms of Aberrations loitered in dark doorways and skittered between points of cover; whether they knew the nature of the mist was open to debate. The nature of the mist was always open to debate. Nonetheless the vapour moved on, progressing with glacial certainty.
Before long it had reached the other presence-without-a-presence. Or at the very least, the same street. The mist was not quick to travel, nor did it have any need to be. For in the end, The Mist captured and released all.

You still suck at role playing, Oblivy.

Been killed lately, Jessica?

((Poo on Seta))

Taigeku would pay absolutely no attention to the 'mist' clearly lurking about, because, frankly, he had no idea it was there. If anyone was approaching... he didn't seem to notice as he kicked his dirty feet through the dust.

The mist nommed on Tai's foot to get his attention

OOC: RP or GTFO.... my posts are not the lack of skill, but instead a stylistic preference to perform with words, rather than bore with them. "Are you not entertained?!?"

The presence-that-is-not, continues to not be. Atleast, the awareness that is localized upon the same street as the vaporous fog, without form, is now aware of the the fog attempting to reach him/it.

And that is when a vertical slit slices open the space between the realital fabric, not but a hair's width. Out from it pours a voice:

"You all remember that which never happened!
WHY HAVE YOU COME?!?"

((No Seta not recently...Never thought I would see you again.. stare ))

Jessica stopped and twitched her ears...The presence really was him. She gave a toothy grin before turning her face to the sky and howling again, hoping he would at least greet her.
Deciding the man was no longer a priority she sniffed the air, catching the scent of something rather odd. Her curiosity got the better of her, she quickly turned around and took off at a sprint towards the empty buildings....

{ Seta Frost. I wasn't aware that cobwebs could talk. }

Tap-

XXXXXXXX-tap-
XXXXXXXXXXXX-tap....

It echoed off the streets from whence it came. Bounced from the walls, to the windows- with only a singular goal in mind. To be heard.

Again!

Tap-
XXXX-tap-
XXXXXXXX-tap-
XXXXXXXXXXXX-tap....

A sweet requiem. A lullabye to sing the men to sleep. A woman to announce their dreams. All curves. No kinks.
Dream-... Nightmare.
The smell of brimstone, coal beneath her feet. Near-white ash in her hair. Her eyes burning fire through violet-hazed tint- or taint. A bait-and-switch. The literal siren.

Tap-
XXXX-tap-
XXXXXXXX-tap-
XXXXXXXXXXXX-tap....

The illusion tucked itself away- a memory?
Nonexistent.
What was left in its place, was that-which-was-forlorn. That-which-had-betrayed. That-which-was...-
forsaken...?
No.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Forgotten.

It did not look the same, this creature. It's eyes had softened, the stone edging replaced with warmed wood- stoked for the fire. Prepared. Ever-ready.
She carried no weight upon her shoulders, no burden of loyalty- no pride in her empire. All that had stayed the course of time, was that which stood now: stripped, bare.
That was not to say she was not clothed. Her body was swathed in garments of various sorts, from denim on her legs, to kevlar tank on her torso. She carried shields of steel in the form of boots on her feet, and black leather fingerless gloves on her hands, and carried swords... a sword, really, but it worked well none-the-less.

She had heard the call. She had felt the ripple. What was to be- what had been, what could have been, what should have been, and all that is. Curiosity, was the simplest reason for her excursion- to grounds that she had never set foot upon, yet recalled with the clarity of a strange sense of deja-vu. It was as though the earth spoke to her here, and reminisced from all dimensions it had ever traveled through- and ever would.
It was a maddening experience. But that which has won a staring contest with the void, tended not to fear such a trivial thing.

When the proverbial voice of God spoke to all the current inhabitants- those who must have also felt the ripple in time- she found she could only chuckle.

{ Yeah. I went there. }

Such a frosty reception. Punz FTW.

Lazily, Taigeku directed his eyes towards the direction of the sound. Knowing that a loud annunciation wasn't required, he simply muttered. God Dammit, I wish I knew

He noticed the girl(wolf?) retreating towards some empty buildings so he picked up the pace and stopped dragging his feet after her. A dogs sense of smell was still better than a Homunculus.

Jessica slowed her pace as she realised the buildings were not empty. Her senses began to go wild as many scents rushed through her sensitive nose, sneezing a couple of times she could no longer remember what it was she was after...Having a short attention span was the only downfall of being in her wolf form. Deciding to switch forms back to the she-demon her body began to morph once more, and again the sound of bones breaking and flesh tearing was heard...to whomever was close enough.

Jessica stood up and looked around, her pupless eyes showing now sign of having sight in the first place, but in reality she could see quite clearly. There were more creatures here than she had first thought...But there was one whom she had a particular interest in, a lone man...who had chosen to follow her wolven form.

Jessica would simply wait, soon he would appear before her...then she would decide whether he was friend or food.

You are so awsome!!! Thank you sooo much.
Donated angelicheadband!!

Taigeku continued to close the distance between himself and the dog (( whee )), scuffing his feet alittle more, as he was closing in. He sat there for a second, a good 20 feet from her and smiled.

... Woof?
