I didn't know his art well, but when I did eventually see get around to looking it up, I was blown away. He was truly amazing and a probably a great inspiration to my inspirations and for that I honor and respect him.

Yes, I agree. I feel quite discriminated against because I either don't have friends to invite or because I will not SPAM other peoples inboxes with solicitations to a web site. Even one I enjoy.

I use to enjoy DC because I knew I always had just that, a CHANCE of getting some really good stuff. Now I never will.

Now I have to rely on inflated MP prices for rare drops from the DC.

I've always liked the tribute items. I know a lot of people complained about the MJ glove. But it has some great poses. And I love the Conan item, both the Moon & Stars and the wig pose.

I have great curiosity what they come up with for Frank Frazetta.

And, OH, GAWD, I LOVE Frank Frazetta's artwork. I have a signed copy of "Death Dealer" that he did with Veroric Comics in the 1990's.
When I saw someone wearing the "Death Dealer" helmet in the forums, I was all "WTF?? How did Gaia get Frazetta and/or Danzig to give them the rights to make a DD helmet item???"
Now I know.

Frazetta... you and your beautiful artwork will be missed.

Frank Frazetta did the best barbarian-fantasy pictures ever.

He basically did the character design for the 1983 Roto-scoped feature film, Fire and Ice and the 1977 animated feature Wizards. Check these out when you have the time. You can find them on Youtube.

I've always said this man was a brutal legend, and he remains to be that in my heart. I've always loved his work because it was so edgy and raw in nature, yet true in ways my imagination can relate. lol, maybe this is why I've always loved reading Heavy Metal and seeing many artists trying to come up to level with Frank's legendary skill. It's always so nice to see.

Frank died of a stroke on Monday. He was 82.
