I was told the Disneyfied version, with the exclusion of The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, which was a book written in the 80s?

I wasn't exposed to the "original", de-sanitized stories until about 7th grade, when we did the original German Cinderella. We also covered a bunch of other Cinderella stories, like one from China.

When I was very young My mom used to tell me the story of the "Rabbit and the Hare". That was the one I remember more clearly as a child.

But bed time story aren't always the same as fairy tales.
