as glad as i am to see people debating on beloved works ( i love studio ghibli as well. even if my favorite is nussica)

i would rather see this as an interesting new viewpoint, a different perception of this story. i appreciate all the work that went into the explanation of how it is a tribute. but at the same time the original story also made me happy. so instead of seeing this as " well that's what the story was this whole time" i am seeing it as a work of the fan-base.

Much like the FF8 Theory really.

Regardless of roots or meaning, I do like the twisted version of the Totoro picture on that site. I've seen that before and it was a fun thought of "what if?" Considering the topic at hand, it is rather appropriate.
