I'm pretty skeptical of the pinocchio theory. I don't see any resemblence between august and the red headed freckled pinnochio we saw earlier.

I'm sticking with the Baelfire theory or someone else that we haven't thought of yet.

The red hair could be to throw people off ;D

If you remember, August had trouble getting out of bed, it was as if parts of his body were a statue at first (or, like pinocchio, made out of wood!).

Him being a real human boy/man is based on magic, which is why he probably needs to get back to fairytale land.

It'd explain why he was so surprised that trying to control Gold didn't work - because August believes that if he's alive (a real man/boy), there must be some magic left in the current world.

After seeing the most recent episode and all the information that came with it I am more inclined to believe that he may be pinnochio. And the points you made do make sense to me. Plus seeing as they have already shown us jiminy cricket and geppetto early on, it wouldn't be that surprising if they had introduced pinnochio earlier too.

however I still won't be shocked if he's someone else, this show likes to be unpredictable.

although I am kinda happy that he isn't rumples son. now that we know that he's in the real world they can do anything with him, even make him henry's father if they wanted to.

It also might help that if Pinocchio is made out of special wood (or if his father had a special wood contraption he realized he could put his son into - since Geppetto worked on the special wood thingy for Snow), it might explain why he can come/go from Storybrook or why he has aged, if maybe when they were all transported to the current world, he somehow managed to escape Regina's bubble because of some interaction with special wood.

You know what would be cool? If Bael had a family of his own and Rumple had grandchildren whee I bet if Mr Gold finds out his son is somewhere beyond Storybrook he'd try to get Emma or the new guy to go out and bring him back.

Suuuuuuuch a good episode. All I have to say is "Darnit Emma!" cry
Yeah, darn it Emma!
But poor Emma - it really isn't entirely her fault. After all, imagine all the pressure she's under of having just discovered who the mystery man is, the custody case with Henry, the conflict with Mr. Gold, and now on top of everything else - she has to save the world! No pressure.

I'm still confused, though.... If Booth is really supposed to be Pinocchio after all, then how does it explain why he tried to use dark magic or whatever by trying to control Mr. Gold? Unless... maybe it has to do with the idea of having control over someone, like a puppeteer, like the way he was controlled as a wooden boy? Still, I think Pinocchio is meant to be an essentially good character, and the very fact that he threatened my dearie makes my blood boil! Off with his head!!!

He's scared, he's turning back to wood, and the fact time's restarted means SOME magic is there, he just wants to survive, and was hoping Gold had enough power to save him. If ANYONE would get their power back, why WOULDN'T the Dark One be first?

The denial thing is kind of getting old though. You'd think that after enough people have told you it's real, you'd start to believe. Including the madd hatter. I mean really, he had no connection to the storybook at all, and she still doesn't believe a word he said.
Tonight when she just flipped on the denial switch, i was screaming at the television. Seriously? It's getting so annoying. She needs to believe already in order to push the series forward.
...I was really mad at August/Pinocchio for leaving Emma as a baby though :/ I know that he was just a child, but I really thought it would have been something that tore him away from her instead of him just leaving. *sigh* But I guess he came back, that's all that matters, eh?

I truly believe that Regina is going to kill Henry before the season is up. She would do that before she would let Emma have him. I think that will make Emma have to believe. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but I think it will.
OMG the strangers identity gonk such a cute story i would have never guessed ! heart makes me so sad :') at least he found his dad !

Agreed. I thought the Mad Hatter made her come to a realization.

Hi everyone!

Ok first off the questions. well having watched yesterdays episode. I have to saw at the moment my favorite character is ... honestly i loved the mad hatter. He was just ... well Mad. but i have always loved the mad hatter. Even before OUAT started so im baised.

My least favorite character..well Regina really because i find that the character does not act so much evil as just... annoying and devious. A little braty. And even childish. And she thinks she can control everyone and when she does not have her way she has a fit.

Favorite fairytale?

When i was little it was Little mermaid. I couldnt stop reading or watching it. but for one i can relate to now adays. It has to be beauty and the beast, with me as the beast and my fiancee as Belle.

My favorite episode... god thats hard. i say Red's story. i didnt expect it at first to be her. To be the wolf i mean.

Has anyone remembered that Regina stil has her precious apples. Well she did till Emma killed the tree. She never lost it all. And i do not understand how Mr. Gold remembers. i guess its because he made the curse.

according to this spoiler: http://www.eonline.com/news/watch_with_kristin/spoiler_chat_daily_scoop_on_once_upon/310676 (white text):
someone's going to die...

who do you guys think it is?

henry? from the promo he looks a bit comatose or something like that. henry is no longer the only one who can convince emma, since august is there, so henry can be eliminated, at least for a while.

i don't think he'd really die though. he's too important

i'm thinking it might be one of the side characters, like Jiminy Cricket.

or maybe they meant death of one of the characters in a fairy land flashback

I believe that Regina is going to kill Henry. She will do it for the sake of Emma not finding out. But Emma will just believe more if this happens. Maybe that will be the big push she needs. If so, it's sad that that's what has to push her to it, but maybe that's how it's supposed to happen.

I agree that the show could pull anything with Rumpelstiltskin's son. I have been following this show every week, and am completely surprised each week. They sure know how to pull off cliffhangers. I wasn't expecting Pinnochio until the last week or so, but it does make perfect sense.
