We'd love to gather some more feedback about the Gaia Cash PMs that are being sent out. At the same time, we'd love to also get feedback from other users regarding anything else on Gaia Online. Right now we understand your feedback regarding the Gaia Cash PMs are dominating Site Feedback, trust us, we hear you. In order to keep all the feedback in one place and get a better grasp on the feedback you wish to offer, please leave your feedback regarding these PMs in this thread.

This is absolutely intolerable to be sent PM's regarding this. I'm seriously considering leaving. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason for this to be happening!!!!!

Please stop sending the Gaia Cash PMs more than once. It is annoying. Additionally, PMs shouldn't be to tell us about sales.

I understand that you may not be part of the marketing team, Zero, but please let them know that this is not ok.

Also, I would like to see a staff member occasionally posting in this thread to acknowledge that they really ARE reading our complaints and that this thread isn't just a way to contain all the complaints without staff members reading them. You don't have to respond to all posts--just a few would suffice to let us know that you're going through the pages. Even if you are not involved with and have absolutely nothing to do with the GCash PMs, please respond anyway! Staff members who are no longer with us have done so in the past--why can't you?

Please stop this at once. You have announcements for this kind of thing. Do not extend it to PMs, and do not send us reminders about sales every few hours. It is obnoxious and makes us want to spend less or close our wallets forever.

"I have not taken part in Gaia Cash in my time here on Gaia. I barely even contribute to the Gold economy, and I'm fine with that. I'm fine ignoring the outrageous inflation and inaccessibility of items without shelling out real cash, as long as I can do the limited activity that I enjoy on Gaia in peace.

Announcements are one thing. Sending frequent private messages to users is another. This is absolutely absurd. It's almost laughable - I actually have a hard time BELIEVING that someone considered the idea of constant spam (yes, it is spam, though it's woefully not against the ToS) a good business practice.

Customers are not happy. These "deals" contained in the private messages are hardly personal to the user as they occur so frequently and indiscriminately, advertised in a private (so-called) message completely unnecessarily. We don't even have the power to ignore or opt out of these advertisements.

Those who are interested in GCash do not need to be reminded every 2-3 hours that GCash exists, or is having a sale (the announcements do a fine job of beating us all over the heads with sales in the first place). And, for those who are not interested in GCash such as myself, advertisements are an irritating reminder to avoid future purchases indefinitely. Both GCash customers and non-GCash customers users now have been heckled, interrupted and harassed, and many are now refusing to purchase GCash on principle. I can't imagine why anyone would consider this to be a successful strategy, as it is having a negative affect on morale and (I am hoping and assuming) sales, but most importantly:

As a solution:
- Create a separate zone for GCash related announcements. Announcements and PMs are becoming inundated, and users are not able to opt out... Which reminds me...
- Let us opt out.

This is, of course, ignoring the fact that Gaia Cash, gold generators, etc. are an unhealthy practice for the economy of the site and should be addressed. But as far as advertising G-Cash sales goes, the solutions can be extremely simple and non-intrusive. By far, GCash-related matters are the #1 issue of this site.

Invading our inboxes and spamming us is NOT the way to get your users/customers to buy GC. We are being treated like glorified cash cows what with the announcements AND PMs. This needs to stop, seriously. In my opinion, sending us these PMs regarding sales is no different to the scam companies who send Viagra emails to one's email junk box.

If Gaia truly cared then they would properly listen to us and look beyond the $$$ signs they seem to permanently have in their eyes. Sending these PMs constantly, in my mind, is nothing short of spamming and harassment.

Take what you see as an influx of anger in the site feedback and do something about it, please. We do not want our inbox being bombarded by SPAM simply because Gaia's newer people in charge are only worried about the money. Go back to the older days when you showed that you cared about the users, not just their money. Please quit spamming us. It's becoming unbearable.

Edit: A helpful hint: Site Feedback will go back to normal once the head honchos decide to fix the situation. Unless trying to wrench us of all that we are worth is far more important to the staff than their users enjoying the website.

Also, where is the announcement or staff update apologizing to us for this? Surely the staff and admin realize that they have angered the majority of their user base.

I don't buy GC (I prefer Free Offers, because I rarely want anything from the shop), and have no intentions of buying it in the future. I have not received any of these PMs, and would like to keep it that way. Thank you.

Which in turn emails me, which in turn sends a message to my cell phone.
Seriously, I have PM's for a reason, and it's not for you to advertize YET ANOTHER Gaia Cash "Sale".

CUT IT OUT! Once This site was fun to use and I was more than willing to drop money into it every once in a while when I had money to drop. Now I don't even want to spend a dime! What did you guys do? My pm's are supposed to be from people wanting to talk to me NOT from you guys asking for more money. When you didn't ask I was more than willing to spend some but now it's like i'm paying you to keep sending me irritating s***. And honestly I was going to report it AS spam or at least as a hack because I was concerned that someone had hacked the Admin account now i'm finding out it really is you and I'm VERY dissapointed.

I've gotten 3 of the PM's and it hasn't even been 24 hours yet.

One more and I'm logging off for the day.

One was enough, two was irritating, three is getting on my nerves.

Why did admin think it was a good idea to implement this and we can't even report it for spam without "abusing the report system". Admin can abuse the PM feature but if we even DARE get fed up with spam we get slapped on the wrist and told not to report it.

It's pure hypocrisy.

I admit I've bought Gcash in past.

Note 'in past'.

I can deal with a few announcements; I've kind of learned to ignore them because I get the cash I want when I decide I want it, not during one of the 6 flash sales a day that get thrown in as announcements. I had a monthly Gcash stipend set up.

I do not anymore.

Between 6-10 "announcements" about flash sales a day and another 10-20 about 'items I need', the new (non-reportable because it's the freaking admin) inbox spam (which is against their own site's TOS) and nothing about actual announcements or proper site update things, I no longer care to support this venture. I've cancelled my monthly Gcash buy and refuse to hand over any more of my hard earned money to a CEO who has told his staff to ignore the users' wishes.

Let us ignore the admin, or stop using it to do nothing but spam us. That's not what that account was for when she was devised; she was for important, site-related news and announcements. The 13th 'flash sale' inside four days is NOT an admin announcement.

Stop spamming us. Stop telling us your spam isn't spam because you did it. Turn off the constant 'announcements', actually work on this site again. Then we can talk about you getting your paycheck from the users back.

We cannot take the Admin account seriously anymore, and that's bad. It's gotten worse with the sitewide inbox spam. You guys need to stop this.

Logging in to find 10+ announcements after a few hours is obnoxious. Do you know how many people just quickly click through them without looking at them? And now PMs? Just stop. The general consensus you'll find is to just stop. That should be clear.
