Even if it's barely used it's nice to know there is a label for it. Thank you. :3

I've spoken to my parents on multiple occasions. (I may bring it up again tonight actually.) Their thoughts on it though, is that I eat whatever it is they cook, so subsitutions. Luckily though (But, a bit sadly), most nights, due to my parents and my own schedules we don't always end up eating as a family. So I can make my own meal. So I'm only been told to eat red meats maybe twice a week.

Damn, you've got some grouchy parents. If I didn't like what my mom made for dinner, it was just that: I didn't like it. My mom has never bitched at me or my brothers about being required to eat what was on the table or been called ungrateful for not wanting to eat what my mom made for dinner. If we wanted something else, we had to make it ourselves.

You're lucky. xD

I think my parents are part hippy. They're chill about what we eat, they were cool with me being a vegetarian, they thinks it's soooooo healthy, and we used to always have vegetable garden, and much much more lol.

It was great for me, but led to me not fitting in at school. I didn't like guns, hunting appalled me, and I love not processed/mystery ingredient foods =/

In other news, if you live near an aldi, next week is going to be amazing. It's asian food week, and they have their version of those annie chung miso and udon bowls for cheap. In my town, the lowest price is 2.38$ and aldi's has them for 1.99 next week. I'm thinking I may blow all my tips on these bowls XD lol I'm addicted.

Oddly enough I enjoy shooting. But never at animals! D : Dear lord no, only at targets. And, yes I know the feeling of picking up a food item that you have no clue of what it's composition could be. It's sort of sad. :<

An aldi? I've never head of that, is it a store? I wish I could pick up miso and udon that cheap. -u- I love those.

I love archery, but all we had to shoot at was the foam hunting targets, I dunno if that counts lol.

Aldi is a store. It's owned by the same company as trader joe's. If you've ever been to a trader joes, than you've been to aldi's. but with different products. They started in Germany and I don't when, moved to certain areas of the us. It's awesome, their produce is almost always cheper than the rest of town, and is better quality.

Wow, I didn't know that TJ's had a sister store. That's pretty nifty. I'm a big fan of TJ's... except they have a horrendously small parking lot in my town, and thus there is never anywhere to park. stressed

Aww, that's no good. What kinds of products do they carry at the aldi store? I'm lucky in that I'm a 5 minute drive from both TJ's and Whole Foods... but I end up at Whole Foods way more often simply because they have more parking (and then I spend waaaay more money!) sweatdrop

Staples, like sugar, flour bread milk, ect. Every week they have special stuff that they only have till they run out like vegetarian chili(I got a few cans of that, it was delicious), asian food, desserts, ect. and sometimes they have non food items, like kids tables and heaters. The special stuff is the only things that change, unlike walmart(f-you walmart). Well, except all their bread used to be vegan, and now they ALL contain milk. I cannot find ******** vegan wheat bread in town anymore >.<

Also, they almost always have the cheapest produce in town, and then they have sales that are unbelievable like avocados for a quarter, or packages of fresh(not frozen) broccoli for 99 cents.

We're going to be moving in the next year or so, back to where we lived in California. They have a trader joe's there and I'm so excited. The only thing I'm going to miss is aldi's strawberry jelly, it's veg*n!!!

Balela o_o (OMG SO GOOD). If you like mediterranean/middle eastern food, you have to try the balela. It's in the prepared food case with all the sandwiches and stuff. If I could live off of that stuff... I just might.... They have lots of good veg*n food in the freezer aisles too. And they just came out with their own take on vegan cream cheese, which I haven't tried yet, but I like that it has better ingredients than the tofutti kind.

Huh, that's an interesting store concept. Trader Joe's has a few vegan breads left, although I never buy them anymore because I am too sensitive to gluten. But I don't think they are plain wheat... those are definitely hard to find without eggs or dairy.

Avocados for... a quarter?? eek The cheapest avocado within a 50-mile radius of my town is about $1.78. At the farmer's market, they're about $2.50 each (and tiny).

that sucks =/ Not only that you're sensitive to gluten, but that there are hardly any vegan wheat bread. I cannot stand white bread. When I was little I hated wheat, but then one day there was no other bread in the house and I fell in love lol. I'm afraid if I want sandwiches, Ill have to eat white bread =/ It's so bad for you and it's so airy. I hate it =/

lol, yeah we still have a ton of avocados from the last sale in the fridge. I haven't been eating them like I used to, which is unfortunate, they're going bad faster than we can eat them sad

it sounded so good, I had my mom bring back a package for me from trader joe's. I made it and the smell was enough for me to not eat it. I thought I would eat it anyways. I think I only managed a bite or 2. I tried to feed it to my brother and he wouldn't eat it either =/ I was bummed, I really wanted it to be good.

Yeah... I used to love bread. It was easily my favourite food (especially sourdough with earth balance and roma tomatoes... *drools a little*). But I was also overweight, depressed, and had bad mood swings. Once I started to put the puzzle pieces together and clean up my diet, I realised that bread was at least partly to blame for all of that stressed Now I just avoid it as a rule, since whenever I eat it, my body swells up and I feel horrid.

Ooh, you can make soups and smoothies and whatnot with the avocados, if you're having trouble thinking of ways to eat them that don't involve just slicing them up for salads/sandwiches. You can even make good chocolate pudding/sauce/etc. with them ^___^ (mmm!)
