I need help. I bought this nice, authentic pasta. It's fettuccine parmesan with basil. What would be the best kind of sauce to go with this? I want a sauce, not butters or oils. I thought tomato would be too heavy, and I was thinking more of an alfredo thing. Am I right or wrong on this? Any other suggestions? 3nodding

I think a tomato sauce would be best. Alfredo sauce is usually think and heavy. Tomato sauces can be much lighter.

A wine sauce could be too.
How about a pesto sauce? :3

I think a parmesan alfredo would also be lovely as well, just don't drown the pasta in it.
