I'm always experimenting. I'm about to do chocolate caramel petits fours with dark chocolate ganache and coarse sea salt and chocolate shavings on top.

Caramel, chocolate and salt are an amazing burst of flavor. I love alaea with chocolate.

I'm now not so sure how these are going to turn out, simply based on the caramel I've used.
This caramel tastes like something I've had with pecan pralines rather than a cake type caramel.
I'm hoping this all turns out well but now I'm starting to doubt this particular caramel in this combination.

okay tastes AWESOME, problem, the entire thing is stuck to the pan, regardless of the greasing and flowering of the pan it still stuck, but omg YUM!

At the bottom of the pan, instead of using flour use sugar. :3

My favorite cake is a lovely cake served at this one restaurant called The Trellis. The cake is called death by chocolate. I haven't tried to make it myself since the recipe is quite complicated, but one day I might be brave enough to make an attempt.

Is it odd that I can't stand cake..? :< It's just too sweet and makes my belly hurt.
